Big Bang’s Daesung has shown affection to the group’s new song, “Still Alive.”

On June 5 at 5:00 PM, the group attended the press conference for the "YG x Hyundai Card Rebranding Project" on the first floor of Hyundai Card’s headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul. Members shared their upcoming plans regarding their special album Still Alive.

Daesung said, “Among the tracks listed on the album, my favorite is ‘Still Alive.’ As you can see in the lyrics, the song talks about shifting different kinds of emotions.

When I listen to it, I feel alive and become thankful for each day. I begin each day with this song. Also, it reminds me of the emotions I experienced while recording the song.”

Big Bang Asks Indie Bands for Help in Hyundai Card Collaboration Project

Big Bang, with Hyundai Card, will be starting a new project to give opportunities for indie bands to grow. 

On June 5, Big Bang held a press conference to explain the new project with Hyundai Card at the Hyundai Card headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul. 

Together, they began the Re-Branding Project and will be starting the ‘Re-Monster’ project to aim for an alternate music platform, focusing on musicians.

The ‘Re-Monster’ project will include a special event for indie bands to reinterpret Big Bang’s new song, Monster. The new redefined songs can be uploaded onto ‘Hyundai Music,’ where they will be judged and the winning musicians will have a chance to release a digital single. 

“Personally, I hope that a lot of indie bands will participate in this event,” G-Dragon said, “Although it’s our song, we’re excited to hear how people will redefine it.” Continuing on, G-Dragon added, “We’re thinking about having YG Entertainment produce a single album for the contest’s winner. If the winners allow it, Big Bang is ready to collaborate together, but if they don’t, we won′t.” 

“As a producer, I hope that there will be lots of different reinterpretations that can only come with indie bands.” G-Dragon said. 

Baek Soo Jung, the head of the department for Hyundai Card, said, “All of the songs will be released through ‘Hyundai Music’s free market. As we are trying to create a new distribution system, all the musicians who participate in this project will be able to upload their music online and also receive profit from it.” The representative also added, “We began this project with aims to help indie bands to become financially independent.” 

Meanwhile, Big Bang began the ‘Re-Branding’ project with Hyundai Card to create a new logo, album jacket design, brand guide book, and more. The special album that came as the result of the project included the new song Monster, as well as other hit songs.
