'Running Man' gives an update on Lee Jong Suk's pending appearance on the show

Previously, SBS revealed that nothing was yet certain about Lee Jong Suk joining 'Running Man' as planned due to his sudden contraction of the swine flu on the 18th. However, while things continue to be up in the air, it seems there is still a chance that Lee Jong Suk might join them later on in the middle of filming.

The cast and crew are preparing to leave for Australia on February 22 as planned. However, Lee Jong Suk will be unable to leave with them at the moment.

One show rep told OSEN on February 21, "Tomorrow, the 'Running Man' team will leave the country through Incheon Airport, but Lee Jong Suk told us he will confirm his appearance after watching over his health condition a little longer.  There is a possibility that he will join us in the middle."

Hopefully, he gets all the rest that he needs to make a full recovery. Although it'd be a bonus if he makes recovery to join in on partially filming for the show, as fans are probably eager to see him with Rain and especially Kim Woo Bin, his health should always come first!

Lee Jong Suk won't be able to join the other cast members of 'Running Man' for its Australian special.
'Running Man' staff is scheduled to fly to Australia on February 22nd to shoot their special episode. However, Lee Jong Suk can't make it because it was reported that he contracted H1N1 influenza virus on February 18th. Thus his schedule was affected.
However, there was a news that he may be able to join the crew later on, but it will depend on how fast he will recover.

This is going to be disappointing news for fans of actor Lee Jong Suk and the variety show “Runing Man“: the actor will not be able to attend the filming in Australia due to his sickness.

Last week it was announced that Lee Jong Suk, along with Kim Woo Bin and Rain, would be the guests on the upcoming special “Running Man” episode filmed in Australia. Right after, it was revealed that Lee Jong Suk had come down with the Swine Flu, and his attendance on the show was unclear. Now it seems that Lee Jong Suk did not fly out with the cast to Australia.

On February 22, Lee Jong Suk’s agency told Star News, “Lee Jong Suk had not fully recovered, so we decided not to participate in the special Australia episode of ‘Running Man’.”  The representative continued to explain that because Lee Jong Suk had been so busy lately, he had not been able to recover in time to leave with the cast for Australia. The agency reassured that the actor and the agency will be fully devoted in recovering from the sickness.

이종석 소속사 관계자는 22일 "이종석이 건강이 완전히 회복되지 않았다"라며 "이종석은 '런닝맨' 호주 특집 편 녹화에 참여하지 않기로 최종 결정했다"고 전했다. 관계자에 따르면 이종석은 최근 여러 작품을 끊임없이 소화한 상태라 건강 상태 또한 좋지 않다. 당분간 이종석은 건강 회복에 전념할 예정이다.

'런닝맨'은 매주 일요일 오후 6시10분 방송된다.

Hm… well, given the characterization, it would seem that Jin Seyeon has more parts — she is playing two characters after all. But Kang Sora is the slightly bigger star, I think, so maybe they will bump up her role? The word is that the script has been written up to Episode 6, so there is still a lot of room for movement.

Plus, I want to restate this. There was a thread on TV Gall yesterday (it was deleted almost immediately so I didn’t read it) that listed Park Hoon’s entire character profile.The conclusion? This is a MALE LEAD drama. It will majorly feature Park Hoon and the things that happen to him.

There will be major parts about his work in North Korea, working in the medical hospital for NK government leaders. There are scenes of chase and gun fight in Budapest when he is trying to escape. And with Park Hae-jin being such a prominent star, I think the male second lead is also going to have a lot of parts in DS.

So I honestly don’t care who is the female lead between those two because  their roles in it is unlikely to be super strong, at this point.

But if you are asking me who I WANT to see romantically paired with Jongsuk — since it is tradition that the actress paired with the male lead is the female lead — I guess I want to see Kang Sora more.

신종플루 확진 판정을 받은 배우 이종석이 SBS '일요일이 좋다-런닝맨'(이하 '런닝맨') 호주 특집 편에 합류하지 않는다.

이종석 소속사 웰메이드스타엠 관계자는 22일 스타뉴스에 "이종석이 건강이 완전히 회복되지 않았다"라며 "이번 '런닝맨' 호주 특집 편 녹화에 참여하지 않기로 최종 결정했다"고 밝혔다.

관계자는 "여러 작품을 쉼 없이 소화한 상태에서 현재 건강 상태가 좋지 않다고 판단해 불참 결정을 내렸으며 당분간은 건강 회복에 전념할 것"이라고 설명했다.

이어 "일각에서 언급되기도 했던 중간 녹화 투입 역시 없다. 호주 편은 아예 참여하지 않는다"고 못 박았다.

한편 '런닝맨'은 이날 오후7시30분 인천국제공항을 통해 호주 편 촬영을 위해 출국할 예정이다. 게스트로는 가수 비, 배우 김우빈이 함께한다.
