Go with your intuition. As you said, she's the main female lead One fundamental cliche of a drama is that the main leads don't die (at least not in the middle of a story).

Finish watching although i don't understand korean but from what it looks

real sad ending

I think the script writer make it this way to discourage WAR

From what it looks,everybody die,only the main character is alive while the Yellow Hwarang from QSD is being wheelchair bound,they just receive a medal for their deeds including those dead.

Another soldier whom defected to North korean earlier was caught back by the ROKS and was executed by the Main Char

The Saddest Part of the story is where the main char kill the female char personally and carry her body to be bury in the coffin

Kind of expecting everybody died in the war.

A very well make low budget drama with great casts but so underrated.

Agreed. This drama is one of the best one I've seen. I was close to tears and that hasn't happened for a long time. Each of the cast really showed their character well in the show.

It had its fair share of cliches in the story, but it wasn't too biased towards the SK side. They didn't show that the North Koreans were the greatest evil of all (maybe beside the crazy guy, but he had his reasons), and they showed good character with the NK captain guy and the dude that helped Ha Jin write letters.

But most importantly, they showed what being a "comrade" means and that no one ever wins in a war.

I watch Comrades just because there is Lee Seung Hyo playing in this film, he he.

But he look miserable in this film. I 'd like to see him in a new romantic film. I want to see how he play and express in love ?

I just saw this sad episode. So sad when the 2 women died and the whole village was massaccred. At the end of the episode, the highlight for the next episode showed LTR lying on a hospital bed. In one the earlier scenes, she recalled that he saved her from being raped by a Japanese soldier. She then said that after that he always had a gun in his hand. Why? It somehow implies that he got a thrill out of killing the Japanese solider. And why did she defect to the North? Can someone explain this to me, please.

I may be the only one who thinks so but I don't think the First Sargent should have disregarded orders given to him - twice. and from the preview, it looks like his men are going to follow in his footsteps and disregard an order he gave them.

I feel so sorry for Sargent Park! The main lead has it easy compared to him. And I'll bet he will survive and come away a hero.
