Daniel Henney Gives a “Goodnight Kiss’ to Lee Na Young

Daniel-Henney_Runaway_p1.jpg

These are sweet photos of two main roles of the upcoming romantic-comedy action Korean drama ‘Runaway’. The photos were taken from the drama’s scene when Daniel Henney’s character (Kai) gives a lovely “goodnight kiss” on the forehead of Lee Na Young’s character (Jin Yi). But, if we see the photo below this is the time when they stood back and laughed slyly to each other when the director gave the ‘cut’ notice to them.

Kai is a gentle and wealthy man who has a crush on Jin Yi and always becomes her guardian. But, she approaches Ji Woo (played by Rain) instead with mysterious motives, which remain a mystery to us.

Other than those stars mentioned above, the drama created by PD and writer of ‘Chuno’ aka ‘Slave Hunters’, has boasted of its top stars lineup including Lee Jung Jin, Kong Hyung Jin, veteran Japanese actor Takenaka Naoto, J-pop singer Uehara Takako, and Hongkong star Eric Tsang.

‘Runaway‘ will premiere in September through KBS.

Ho will be making an appearance as the role of the Chinese character Hwai, who chases after Ji-hoo, played by Korean superstar Rain.

"I am happy that I will be able to introduce myself to the Korean audience through this drama," Ho was quoted as saying.

Ho is the fourth foreign actress to join the cast after Japanese actor Takenaka Naoto, Japanese singer and actress Uehara Takako and Hong Kong actor Eric Tsang.

They will be sharing the small screen with multi-talented entertainer Rain, Daniel Henney, Lee Jung-jin, Lee Na-young, Kong Hyung-jin and Yoon Son-ha.

"Domangja s1," about a hefty sum of money popping up sixty years after it disappeared in times of the Korean war, will be directed by noted TV producer Kwak Jung-hwan and written by Chun Sung-il, the creative duo behind the hit KBS TV series "The Slave Hunters" (2010).

[Aug-12-2010] How has the all-star cast of Runaway starring Rain been accomplished?

Interest in upcoming drama Runaway with only a month to go before the broadcast, goes well beyond imagination. The spark of its all-star cast was stars' faith in the drama and their expectations for it.

Rain's agent said, "Rain expressed satisfaction with the outstanding part of this drama that is its well-organized plot. He seemed to think that there wouldn't be any problem at all regarding making his comeback on the drama since he is back from a long break."

When such a top star decided to appear in the drama, there was a synergy that happened to get many others stars at home and abroad wanting to appear in it.

Runaway officials said, "We guess they've shown interest in their appearances in the drama as Korean dramas are in the spotlight in Asian markets under the influence of the Korean Wave.

In addition, they sometimes expressed their intentions to appear in the drama by their judgement on what they appear in it that could all combine to have an enormous positive impact on their future because the protagonist of the drama Rain is particularly winning popular acclaim abroad."

Actually, actress 'Uehara Takako' and actor and director and comedian 'Dakenaka Naoto' from Japan, actor and director 'Jeung Ji Wi' and actress and singer 'Josie Ho' from Hong Kong, etc. have decided to appear in the drama.

Once, there were talks with internationally famous actor 'Jackie Chan' about whether to appear in the drama or not by his acquaintance with Rain, but his hope for the drama was disappointed by an unavoidable problem with his schedule at that time.

Again a new name to the cast! The more international it is, the better I think. Like this hopefully Runaway will be a hit in Asia, not only in Korea.
