‘Assembly’ No. 1 on content power index

KBS drama “Assembly” ranked No. 1 on the content popularity chart CPI in the TV drama genre for the third week of July. 

CPI, referring to content power index, has been developed by CJ E&M and Nielsen Korea, and is used for measuring subscription ratings for program-related news articles, search rankings on portal websites and buzz rankings involving social media. 

After putting out two episodes, “Assembly” has secured the No. 8 slot in the rankings of all TV programs and No. 1 on the TV drama genre. 

“Assembly” depicts a realistic scene of the National Assembly, starring Jung Jae-young, Song Yoon-a, Ok Taecyeon and Park Young-gyu. It airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 10 p.m.

"Assembly" Taecyeon once again disappointed in Jeong Jae-yeong, "The Assembly, a human trash heap"

 

 

Taecyeon is sure that Jeong Jae-yeong is a traitor.

In the 5th episode of KBS2's Wednesday-Thrusday drama "Assembly" (written by Jeong Hyeon-min; directed by Hwang In-hyeok) which aired on the 29th, Kim Gyu-Hwan (Taecyeon) is once again disappointed in Jin Sang-Pil (Jeong Jae-yeong).

In the episode, Jin Sang-Pil is attacked by the party because he came out against the fall budget increase bill but, after Choi In-Gyeong (Song Yoon-ah) talked him down, decided to live for another day and took back his objections. Even though Jin Sang-Pil (Jeong Jae-yeong) had turned away from acting all principled in order to do more, Kim Gyu-Hwan thought he was a traitor to the people like he turned his back on Kim Gyu-Hwan's father Bae Dal-soo (Son Byeong-ho).

When asked by his fellow intern about "so what do you think about the Assembly?, he replied without hesitations "the Assembly is a human trash heap!" Seeing the expression on his fellow intern's face, he tried to play it off as a joke but this discussion was overheard by Choi In-Gyeong who silently chastised him with her deadly gaze.

"Assembly" is a "coming of age story" about the journey an assemblyman, whose prior occupation was a welder and is rather stupid but honorable and brave, takes to move from idiot to the "honorable" assemblyman.

*** His drama is struggling, rating-wise. According to ratings research company Nielsen Korea,  "Assembly", which aired last night recorded a national ratings of 4.8%. This is a 0.2% decline from the previous episode's ratings' of 5.0%. The show is currently well behind amongst the shows with the same time slot.

Taecyeon Is a Master Chef on “Three Meals a Day”

On the August 7 broadcast of tvN’s “Three Meals a Day,” Taecyeon embarks on cooking spaghetti. The tomatoes he uses are ones that they grew on the farm themselves.

He explains that he learned how to cook spaghetti when he was a student in the U.S. Putting extra care into the plating, the resulting dish looks like it’s from an Italian restaurant.

Na Young Suk PD even compliments him, saying, “This is at hotel level. You need to receive 187,000 KRW (approx. 160 USD).” The situation is made even funnier by the way Na Young Suk carefully holds the plate with two hands.

Likewise, Lee Seo Jin, Kim Kwang Gyu, and Son Ho Joon all marvel at the deliciousness of the spaghetti. Unfortunately, they are disappointed with their small servings. However, they are in luck as Taecyeon provides them with more scrumptious pasta.

[by Sora Ghim] Ok Taecyeon made his name as the ‘cutie’ on set.

KBS 2TV Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Assembly’ released behind cuts of Ok Taecyeon, who is currently playing the role of Kim Kyu Hwan, who is trying to destroy Jung Jae Young as revenge for his father.

In the pictures, Ok Taecyeon can be seen with bright expressions. He smiles brightly or makes comical expressions at the camera. Wrapping a towel around his face, he seems to be saying ‘Aren’t I cute,’ becoming the ‘cutie’ of the set.

Using his tall height and strength, Ok Taecyeon holds up the microphone and helps move the heavy items to the filming location. His kindness makes him loved by the staff and fellow actors, and his friendliness helps him to get closer to everyone.

Ok Taecyeon is the only male cast in his twenties and his brightness and innocence makes him loved by everyone. Unlike his serious character, Ok Taecyeon shows another side to him behind-the-scenes.
