melusine
Kong Hyo-jin makes top ten Asian actors list in China 2010.06.18 Korean actress Kong Hyo-jin has been selected one of the top ten actors of Asia by China Entertainment TV (CETV), according to her agency N.O.A. Entertainment on Friday. N.O.A. announced through a press release that the actress will be leaving for China today to attend the award ceremony, to be held Saturday evening at Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center in Shenzhen, China. Celebrating its sixth anniversary, the Chinese broadcaster had asked viewers to cast votes for top ten actors in Asia. Fans' voting had taken place every year with stars from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan being awarded the title. This year, Korean actresses Kong and Kim Nam-joo made the list with the success of their hit TV series "Pasta" and "Queen of Housewives," respectively. Kong making the top ten is considered particularly significant since "Pasta" is scheduled to air in China later this year with major Chinese media outlets planning a grand promotion for the culinary drama. "Pasta" is a story about the romance between two chefs, played by Kong and actor Lee Sun-gyun, who work together in an Italian restaurant. The series received positive reviews from critics and viewers alike and scored solid ratings during its run in Korea earlier this year. The 30-year-old actress debut in the 1999 horror pic "Memento Mori" and has since appeared in numerous television dramas and films. Some of her most notable works include dramas "Ruler of Your Own World" (MBC, 2002), "Sang Doo! Let's Go To School" (KBS, 2003) and film "Conduct Zero," co-starring her real-life actor boyfriend Ryoo Sung-bum. There was an online voting process asking people to vote for the top stars of Asia, and Lee and Gong both gained many votes, resulting in the award. The ceremony takes place on the 19th. Guest run_lola_run
Yay! Congrats to them! They deserve it. Pasta is almost going to end here in Los Angeles on MBC-D soon and I'm sad about it just like the first time it ended in Korea.
whit3butt3rfly
Loving this drama so far and I'm only up to ep 5! I must say now though Honey's acting is appalling. She has one expression #smile# It's all she ever does. It kinda is getting on my nerves. My dislike of her might also stem from the fact that I am guessing she did something really awful to Chef! I might actually faint with just how innocent and sweet this series is!! I love the chemistry between the two main characters!!
suzzah
^^ i love how her fringe has grown longer in those last few pictures..!! She looks so much nicer, rather than that short fringe she had in pasta
whit3butt3rfly
I finally finished watching this even though it was in the name of procrastination, when I really should have been doing some work that starts back tomorrow I really enjoyed this lovely breezy light love drama. The pasta looked so yummy - someone on a diet, I was really drooling everytime I watched them cook. I really enjoyed that it wasn't overly dramatic and didn't have this evil character separating the main protagonists. Saying that, I hated President Seol and the 3 fired unnies! They really annoyed me so much and the show could have lasted without them, as I never really found their antics very funny or good for comedic relief at all! I love the chemistry from the very beginning between Chef and YK. They are so cute! I think their personalities are so cute together and I love their lovely moments together! There were a few things that I found a bit lacking though: Why didn't SY take the job in Italy? I feel sorry for her that she doesn't really seem to do much with her lifeThe other characters seemed to be really 2 dimensional. Whatever happened to San's noona's obsession with Phillip?I thought it was weird that YK seemed content to just stay in Korea and La Sfera when she had a fantastic opportunity to go to Italy to study and be better. I think it was wrong that the Chef had it planned from the beginning to not let her go because he 'couldn't live without his makneh'. I mean as sweet as that was, it really isn't good for her or her career. I know it seemed as though she had decided to stay, but what of her career that she worked so hard for?President San and his pathetic one sided love for YK. It didn't seem to ever really go anywhere, and it just seemed sad that he never had a chance Really liked this series for its breeziness and simplicity in the innocent love between the two characters. It was so normal and just really sweet! I like that it stood apart from the other kdramas around.

dy0wtx0xpxx
I like this drama~ It's good.. but I hate the romance part about it.. It was really bad.. I thought the romance between the two could be better..but I guess not. Also, it felt like Alex wasn't even part of the love triangle cause he barely did anything.. haha The ending was... alright.. it could have been better but it's a good drama. I like the idea and the concept of the drama~ My favorite character is Eunsoo~ haha funniest one.

Guest GirlFromMars
I loved and hated that drama at the same time. Seriously the characters sometimes drove me crazy and "Chep"'s constant screaming seriously scared the heck out of me every time but the food, omfg, so tasty looking. The overall mellow vibe was a big plus in my eyes though

riribl
I finished this drama just now. I quite like it, it's not overly dramatized. I actually also like how the third parties (San and Se Young) aren't really evil and annoying At first I found that Hyun Wook's constant yelling and how Yoo Kyung smiled sheepishly (almost stupidly) and called "Chep chep" to Hyun Wook were really incredibly annoying. Seriously if it's not because I was attracted to the cooking parts maybe I would have discontinued watching the drama already. But after I watched this drama further, it got better. Yoo Kyung could stand up for herself and be straightforward at times and Hyun Wook's frequency of yelling decreased. And I love watching San more and more, so I kept watching it until the end and found this drama pretty good My most favorite character is Kim San, I just love his vibes and his laid back attitude, although he's quite a coward about his love to Yoo Kyung. I wish it was San who ended up with Yoo Kyung instead of Hyun Wook If only San made a move on Yoo Kyung in those 3 years, I'm quite sure they'd be in a relationship already at the time Hyun Wook came to La Sfera I do find there are some flaws in San that someone has already mentioned in here before, but I dunno I love San's character, thus I'm a San-Yoo Kyung supporter and feel happy whenever there are some interactions between them. Am I the only one? But Hyun Wook-Yoo Kyung is pretty cute too :] Because of San's character I became to like Alex haha
