Singer and actor Kim Hyun-joong countersued his ex-girlfriend 'A' for 1.2 billion won.

Kim's legal attorney Lee Jae-man said, "The countersuit was filed on the 11th against 'A'. She has claimed that Kim abused her and caused her miscarriage. He had paid her 600 million in favor of keeping it quiet".

However, she wasn't pregnant at the time and it's against the law for her to accept money. Kim also plans to additionally sue her for defamation.

Kim Hyun Joong is receiving attention for countersuing Ms. Choi for 1.2 billion KRW (~$1.05 million). This past April, the actor's side had stated, "Compensation for 1.6 billion KRW (~$1.4 million) in a civil suit is an impossible amount," regarding Ms. Choi's suit against him. 

Kim Hyun Joong's legal representative told Daily Sports earlier today, "Last year we handed Ms. Choi 600 million KRW (~$523,000) for her claim that she was physically abused [by Kim Hyun Joong] while she was pregnant. But the pregnancy and the abuse were ruled to be false so we're suing for the 600 million KRW in damages." As for the remaining 6 million KRW, he added, "At the time of the compromise, the two agreed to pay 600 million KRW as a penalty if the incident was leaked to the public. Because Ms. Choi broke this agreement even after receiving monetary reparations, we added on the penalty of an additional 600 million KRW which makes the total 1.2 billion." 

The legal representative further revealed, "Aside from the 1.2 billion KRW, Kim Hyun Joong plans to file suit for damages he experienced due to his name being tainted from the incident and having his advertisements and TV gigs cancelled. His current agency has requested for evidence that proves the actual financial damages Kim Hyun Joong has suffered thus far from the incident." 

The legal battle between Ms. Choi and Kim Hyun Joong began when Ms. Choi had sued Kim Hyun Joong last April for 1.6 billion KRW, citing distress and emotional damages as reasons for taking legal action. Subsequent her suit, Kim Hyun Joong's side has declared Ms. Choi's pregnancy false after investigating records from the gynecologist and orthopedics.

Hi newyorkcitygirl, thanks for sharing this. Ahhh..........poor KHJ - he took the blame for 1 year! Sigh.....no one knew how harsh it was for him. He's officially screwed because of all the negative publicity. This grown woman faked her pregnancy-miscarriage claim. She's a FAKE! Good that this recent development has been exposed. KHJ is only trying to defend himself. I am very happy that KHJ counter attacks. It seems like he is winning. I don't care maybe he did mistakes but it's his privacy that's involved here. Singer Kim Hyun-joong countersues ex-girlfriend

 

SEOUL, July 15 (Yonhap) -- Singer and actor Kim Hyun-joong has sued his ex-girlfriend for wrongfully accusing him of causing her miscarriage, his legal representative said Wednesday.

The 29-year-old lodged a counterclaim of 1.2 billion won (US$1.0 million) last Saturday in response to a damages suit filed by his ex-girlfriend, identified only by her surname Choi, Kim's attorney Lee Jae-man said.

Choi is seeking 1.6 billion won in compensation for the psychological trauma Kim allegedly caused her.

The Kim-Choi saga started last August when Choi accused the singer of beating her and causing her to miscarry. Believing this as the truth, Kim at the time paid her 600 million won as hush money, Lee said.

Kim, however, recently found out from Choi's gynecologists that she was never pregnant.

Lee said the sum doesn't include the financial loss Choi has caused Kim for making false accusations.

Kim plans to lodge another counterclaim once his management agency confirms the extent of the financial damages.

Kim had earlier admitted to the charge of physical abuse and was fined 5 million won in January.

The drama flared up again when Choi filed a suit in April to seek compensation from Kim for causing her psychological suffering.

Finally the news i wanted to see with the actual suit be filed.  I am sorry to say this but what normal person goes to two different clinics on the same day for the same thing.  The only people who do that is usually cancer patients and even then they get a referral  in order to receive a second opinion, and they go at a later date not the same day. So that right there shows that she was very disparate. In which means she had intent to harm form the start.

The thing is, if Choi is truly pregnant, does she truly carrying KHJ's child? If she's been  doing to KHJ what she did since she press charges & blackmailing, wudnt he or any man wud feel disgusted to touch her, let alone laid with her? She cud have sleep with some other guys, get pregnant & used her old style pregnant & miscarriage, which didn't happen, again on KHJ. If she didn't get pregnant by KHJ in their so called good days , how did she expect us to believe KHJ impregnated her during their dispute days.

Anyway KHJ we know is a responsible guy, if for some reason he truly bedded her even after her ugly blackmailing, I'm sure he doesn't have the heart  to sue her. But since he did I'm sure he's very confident 1) she's not pregnant at all, since all the fuss with the pregnancy check ups, 2) she's carrying another man's child, and most probably date of conceived didn't match as she claimed. If this happened I bet if the baby is born early she's gonna claim premature...only its a 3 to 4 kg premature newborn or if its late then she gonna go c-section to make it come early or she gonna claim elephant pregnacy 

 

I watch a drama recently that remind me of KHJ situation, only drama focus on teens & idols while KHJ on the larger skill. In the drama this crazy fan threw herself infront a moving car of an idol, panic the idol came out to check on her only to have her pulled him into a kiss infront of so many people. When the idol push her she scream he hit her & pretent to pass out, so she was hospitalized. Then she demand a public apology & a quiet settlemen. His company ask him to comply with her demand but the young idol refused thus his company banned him from performing or public appearance until everything quiet down....thus this story really remind me of KHJ. I never believe Choi is his gf to begin with. She cud be his saseng fan who followed him around or just someone he just hang out with. From bit & pieces I understand she met him tru a friend or relative who works in k entertainmen industry. It seems that she asked/begged that person to let her meet him. Anyway I dun believe KHJ is such a poor judgement of character that he actually dated such a horrible girl. However the question is why KHJ feels intimidated by her that he surrender to her demand last year? Sure its for his goodname & image, however KHJ has been tru scandal that jeorpadize his image before but he survived tho he was pressure left and right, yet he just did what he wants. So now I wonder what exactly was he trying to protect last year & earlier this year...that Miss K  that Choi once mention, perhaps

Another month; another plot twist. Kim Hyun Joong has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons – he was first fined for habitually abusing his ex-girlfriend earlier this year, with subsequent lawsuits between the two being made public after the case was closed.
His enlistment in May did nothing to dampen the public’s scrutiny over his personal life after a fresh lawsuit by his ex alleging that he caused her to miscarry after he hit her, followed by a counter lawsuit by the singer-actor to refute those claims were reported.
Their case has become even more complicated with his representatives revealing that there are no records of her getting pregnant nor having a miscarriage last year – a claim for which he paid her KRW600 million (S$730,500) as settlement last year.
The reports state that instead of getting assaulted by Kim Hyun Joong, she sustained an injury while working on the weights machine at a gym and received six weeks of treatment as a result. They also state that she threatened the idol with news of her miscarriage even though she was never pregnant in the first place.
