I'm a lucky girl," says K-pop superstar Lee Hyo-lee. "Compared to the amount of talent I have, the attention that people have given is undeserved. I've just been lucky, that's all.¡± Shedding the girly image of her F.I.N.K.L. days in her 2003 solo debut, Lee has put her physical charms to good use, selling 150,000 records. She has also been a hot commodity in the advertising world for the last three years. In her appearance in a music video-type commercial for Samsung Anycall mobile phones, she became the star of an informal major hit song. That perhaps is behind all the buzz about her second album, ¡°Dark Angel¡±, which comes two years and six months after ¡°Stylish.¡±

"Since work on the album is a joint effort, there hasn't been a single day in the last year that I've been able to relax,¡± Lee told the Chosun Ilbo. ¡°I don't know if the finished product is of a higher caliber than the first one, but at the very least, the album honestly shows the world what kind of a person Lee Hyo-lee is, and what style of music she likes.¡±

Lee¡¯s success is obviously tied to her carefully calculated sex appeal, but the singer gets tetchy when that is pointed out. ¡°Whether you¡¯re a singer or an actor, isn¡¯t it a basic requirement for an entertainer to seduce people and captivate them?¡± she demands. ¡°Being sexy is in a person¡¯s energy and vitality. You can¡¯t get it from just taking off your clothes. I¡¯m naturally ¡®sexy¡¯ and go on stage to look sexy, but it¡¯s not important whether I take off my clothes or not, whether I show my belly or not. I¡¯m confident I can be sexy even when I wear clothes that cover my whole body.¡±

The title of the new album is ¡°Dark Angel,¡± reflecting, she says, the two sides of every person. Unlike her first album, which had a cheery feel, the new album with its cover on shades of black, indicates a shift in mood. The title song ¡°Get Ya¡± has a funky style, she says, and the video, with more than a nod at Michael Jackson¡¯s ¡°Thriller¡±, shows her in a showdown with zombies. ¡°It¡¯s like a remake,¡± she admits. The Samsung commercial, meanwhile, ¡°played an important role in carrying on my image as a singer. I am still a fan of that music video,¡± she says.

What does she think about the growing Lee Hyo-lee tribe who try to copy her style? ¡°Find your unique color,¡± she says. ¡°I think it¡¯s a shame when images are just being cloned.¡± Music, for Lee, is ¡°something complicated: it¡¯s both something like a friend and a means of living.¡± She is aware of the pitfalls. ¡°If either the visuals or the music go in the wrong direction, you don¡¯t last long,¡± she says.

F.I.N.K.L., the girl band Lee used to be part of, released a digital single last year, but Lee doesn¡¯t think it will go further than that. ¡°Other members have solidified their own images as actors after a lot of hard work, so it looks difficult for us to get together again.¡± But she adds wistfully, ¡°The times when we were members of F.I.N.K.L. may just be the most beautiful memory of our lives.¡±

from the girls' hair, i'm guessing this was done during Vol3. basically there's 3 guys chitchatting in a park.. and they're each fantasizing about one of the FinKL girls.. except the last guy, he's audacious, he's fantasizing about TWO of them! :D haha and what i find funny is that though each of the stories are different, the doctor/nurse in each one are the same people!!! LOL!

Lee Jin and Yuri are so sweeeet and pretty as usual.. while Ju Hyun is such a naughty girl! :P (and you get to see her singing Moon River! can she really play the piano? she's great..) but Hyori's screentime is really little, though. :(

hmm.. i think the person who recorded this simply played the radio recording over the video. so at the parts where a song is playing on radio, the song REALLY plays! then we can't hear what Juhyun/Hyori/Sooyoung are saying though we can see them talking.. :(

HAHAA i still remember that perf.. the camera didn't zoom in at all so i didn't realise it WASN'T Hyori until quite late into the vid!! JWH cracked me up.. :P

yeah... JWH really had me in stitches.... he didnt need to do that.. but he did it anyway.... so it was great for the fans !!! :lol:
