Montreal vs. Ottawa 5-4 S/O

Pretty good game they played. Ottawa opened the scoring and kept coming back but - NOPE! Montreal came back! Kovalev & Lapierre with the shoot-out goals and Halak with the two saves!

And the new thing for shoot-out goals: going slow then go BIG! Pretty interesting.

the game had my head spinning a bit

especially after the snore-fest game with the Islanders, this one really upped the pace

It was a fun game either way, so I can't be too disappointed

Blue Jackets vs. Canucks 6-5 Final S/O

In the words of Ryan Kesler, "Yeah, it was a s***ty way to end a game." This season is not our season for shoot-outs. At least before we weren't relatively bad! Now it's just shurk! At least the Canucks were better today in terms of skills and physicallity. But the finish and defense needs some work.

Kesler today got very physical. Opened the game in a new line but ended with his line previous to that.

Crappy 2 periods...AMAZING 3rd perios comeback...and then it just went to the crapper in the last few!! That last call was bs, in my biased opinion, as I was sure the puck was hit above the crossbar.

And then the shoot out...no comment. I personally wouldn't have put Axelsson out there, and I would have sent Krejci out first as I'm sure he would have gotten the momentum rolling on our side...but I'm not coach Julien so whatevs

Once that OT goal was shot in, I started baling my eyes out and they're still coming down! SO BLOODY CLOSE! A crackin' effort by us but we just... I'm just gobsmacked right now.

On a different pitch, the end of the game was pretty darn interesting. Big gang up by the Sharks on 5 of the Canucks. Quite unfair.
