to those who applied through e-mail or went there in person:

please let us know right away if you got a response (whether its an acceptance or decline) so that we know about how long it really takes for them to respond!! ^^ thanks!

they respond within a week through email. you'll get an automatic reply, same with everyone. if they like the materials they will contact you rather quickly than u think, the longer it take the greater chance u got rejected. Sm is very picky and wants a specific person, right now they are looking for the NEXt Boa.

they send an automated message, within a few days to a week.

saying they got yours and they are going to review it. and they

e-mail you back within a month if they have any interest in you, and

if they don't they don't contact you.

i know that they send an automated e-mail & they say it'll take a month for them to get back to you, but i want to know how long it really will take for them get back to you after the automated e-mail. sometimes they say a month but it takes a teensy bit longer. plus, i'm curious as to know what they would say ^^

kittychang:

yup, im sure you have to.

but if you can't and they really like you

they might be able to arange something for you.

i highly doubt they will, but they might. never know.

what state do you live in??

Munchkins:

i think there's 3 not sure, but those were

just rumors and what some people said.

but i think for the 2nd one you do an

in person audition and then they send your profile or w/e

to korea and they review it

and if they like you, then you go to korea

and you do an in person audition with LSM and there staff w/e

and if they like you, then congrats :D

Hmmm.

So the 2nd round is when you go in and audition in person?

But what if you GO and audition first?

Is that considered your 2nd round or is there a different set of rounds for people who

do e-mail auditions and for people who GO and audition?

if you went to an audition first

then that would be your first. not 2nd... cuz that is your first

time auditioning.. LOL.

anyways if they like you, they would contact you to come in again.

and so on..

I'm a lyricist (well, for awful local bands. And I only get paid in crumbled ten dollar bills or invitations to parties I wouldn't attend)

I want to send just lyrics (I can't write music) to SM Entertainment, will I still have to include my height, weight, picture etc? Not to mention, my ethnicity (I'm German/Middle Eastern/Pacific Island...?) yet, I strangely enough, look Philippine.

I can speak conversational Korean, Arabic, and full Spanish. (Oh, & English...duh)

Can I send in Korean Lyrics? & will they have an audition in NYC? (I live in Brooklyn)

Um...sorry for all the questions!

hey guys and all you budding artists!!

i was wondering, 'cause i from the UK [england] i was wondering........ if you send it by mail or go to the open auditions, and you sucessfully get through, do they train you for an american debut or for a korean debut, 'casue if it were me i'd rather debut on the korean music scene.

i'm planning to do it by mail by the way :sweatingbullets:

please let me know, and also are there any other peoplw here from england who want to audition?

I think everyone has the same question as you.

But as I read more into it, I would think that since they send it to Korea, you would have to go to Korea and train there until they think you're ready, or you get kicked out.

But I think you would start in Korea then come to America and try your luck.
