*** This is cool! I’m thankful to JYP for RAIN.:lol:

Hi mariposa - I missed you, too. I hope you had a fun holidays, too. Happy New Year to you, my dear!:lol:

JYP’S INSIGHT INTO WG, RAIN, G.O.D. SUCCESS

1306848.jpg

“To be a producer to Rain, the Wonder Girls, and G.O.D means to create an image. It’s not a matter of music, but it’s an image that already exists within the person that you have to find. Once you find it, you build it up through consistency. You have to engrave it into the minds of the public.”

On the afternoon of January 3, Singer & Producer Park JinYoung (37) gave a special lecture on the topic of “What does it mean to be a producer?” at an Art Hole in NohnHyungDong. The lecture was heard by students of K-Note—a tutoring school for music run by producer Kim HyungSuk—and members of the public. It is a well-known fact that Kim HyungSuk served as a mentor to a young Park JinYoung while Park was just entering the mainstream music industry in 1992 as a student at YonSei University.

While Park JinYoung (JYP) cited his protégés—group G.O.D, Rain, and the group Wonder Girls—as examples in revealing his producing methods, 200 aspiring musicians listened closely in the audience, periodically applauding.

JYP told the audience, “I first applied image marketing to G.O.D. I saw them in their IlSan dormitory and they weren’t living like stars at all. Seeing them, the image of plain cooked rice came to mind. You can’t live without rice. So I worked to create a warm, comfortable image for them, one that brings the idea of ‘mother and son’ to mind. They sang and we signed them up to star in the TV program ‘Child Care Diary’ where they would help raise a child.”

With Rain and the Wonder Girls, JYP stated that he considered differing images when planning to increase the entertainers’ star power.

“Rain was the first singer in our management company to look like a real star. We could readily make music and songs that would have mainstream appeal, but even if the songs weren’t hits our main goal was to discover: ‘What could we do to make this person appear cooler and shine brighter?’ The focus of his image was star-quality and we worked to make music, wardrobe, and dances that weren’t easy to follow. Rain received a top music award for in 2004 and he received it because even though no one could sing along to the song, he still shined as a person.”

He added, “Rain is very smart and he knew when to use that to his advantage or not. I was worried he’d become conceited if I complimented him a lot, so for the first time I acted mean towards someone under our management. Even then, he still didn’t use his brain to scheme but threw himself into his practicing instead. Speaking man to man, he’s very impressive.”

On the contrary, “The Wonder Girls are cute and loveable to anyone who sees them. That’s why we made songs and dances that are easy to sing-along to and follow. That’s how they came to be graced with the title of ‘National Little Sisters.’” “When I come back from the US and get in the recording studio, the Wonder Girls will return from finishing their daily schedule and say, ‘We’ve missed you.’ At those words alone, all the fatigue just melts away,” JYP added with a laugh.

Finally, he concluded by addressing the importance of people over the music they make. “I have more interest in people than in music. Even when I’m picking singers I choose the people I like rather than those who just excel in their singing and dancing ability. I’ve found that if they are beautiful in my eyes then the public seems to find them beautiful as well.”

[Jan-07-2009]Fight Like A ¡®Ninja Assassin¡¯ (Screenrant)

http://screenrant.com/fight-ninja-assassin-rob-4904/

This is a must watch if you have any interest at all in action films, martial arts, sword combat or parkour. /Film got a hold of a behind-the-scenes video of the fight choreography training for the upcoming Ninja Assassin movie.

The video features the infamous 87 Eleven stunt performing/coordination and martial arts training group who also worked on hit action movies 300, the Bourne films and this year¡¯s Watchmen (hopefully this year). They do amazing work and are becoming more and more involved in some of the biggest action films around.

Ninja Assassin is the story of one of the world¡¯s best assassins, Raizo (played by Korean pop star, Rain) who was trained to kill by a secret organization that later executes his best friend. Naturally, Raizo must avenge his friend¡¯s death and the blood bath ensues.

Take a look at some of the action sequences you can expect to see in the film:

And that¡¯s just the fight training! This movie is going to be bad richard simmons and I¡¯m definitely going to see it just based on this.

The action sequences look incredible and they¡¯re obviously putting tons of work into it to make it flow and look real ¨C ¡°real¡± as in based on earth¡¯s gravity and people actually performing these moves naturally and not like in Romeo Must Die or Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon where a person can jump and kick multiple people while changing and reversing his direction in midair. You know what I Mean!

Does this make you want to see the film?

Ninja Assassin does not have a confirmed release date as of yet but is expected to hit theaters in the second half of 2009. It is directed by James McTeigue (Speed Racer, V for Vendetta).

Rain's already given the whole baby needs to Jo and fancied himself to stand godfather to the baby.

Rain's agency interested said, "The two have formed a friendship for long since their entrance into the entertainment. Rain directly visited the hospital to be the first to congratulate on the birth, although it was early."

Rain is taking his rest after finishing his 5th activity in 2008. He has the total 4 times fan meeting(New year Rain's Fan meeting) at Tokyo&Osaka ahead.

Bad richard simmons Ninja Assassin Fight Choreography Video

Posted on Sunday, January 4th, 2009 at 11:34 pm

by: Peter Sciretta / slashfilm.com

http://www.slashfilm.com/2009/01/04/bad-as...eography-video/

/Film reader Christopher M scored this bad richard simmons fight choreography/stunt training video showing some of the work of 87 Eleven (the stunt team that worked on 300, Watchmen, Matrix and Bourne films) on The Wachowski Brothers-produced, James McTeigue-directed Ninja Assassin. Check it out after the jump.

The film stars stars Korean pop star Rain (Speed Racer) as Raizo, one of the deadliest assassins in the world. Taken from the streets as a child, he was transformed into a trained killer by the Ozunu Clan, a secret society whose very existence is considered a myth. But haunted by the merciless execution of his friend by the Clan, Raizo breaks free from them… and vanishes. Now he waits, preparing to exact his revenge.

In Berlin, Europol agent Mika Coretti (Naomie Harris) has stumbled upon a money trail linking several political murders to an underground network of untraceable assassins from the Far East. Defying the orders of her superior, Ryan Maslow (Ben Miles), Mika digs into top secret agency files to learn the truth behind the murders. Her investigation makes her a target, and the Ozunu Clan sends a team of killers, led by the lethal Takeshi (Rick Yune), to silence her forever. Raizo saves Mika from her attackers, but he knows that the Clan will not rest until they are both eliminated. Now, entangled in a deadly game of cat and mouse through the streets of Europe, Raizo and Mika must trust one another if they hope to survive… and finally bring down the elusive Ozunu Clan.

The film also stars legendary martial arts performer Sho Kosugi (Revenge of the Ninja) as the ruthless leader of the Ozunu Clan. Sounds like it could be a very cool Ninja action film. I was really impressed with McTeigue’s V for Vendetta, but The Invasion was a disaster, although I’m not sure McTeigue can really be blamed for not being able to fix the mess that was handed to him.

The behind-the-scenes creative team includes director of photography Karl Walter Lindenlaub (Independence Day, Prince Caspian), production designer Graham “Grace” Walker (Pitch Black, Gothika), costume designer Carlo Poggioli (Cold Mountain) and editor Giancarlo Ganziano. The Wachowski brothers’ longtime stunt coordinators Chad Stahelski and David Leitch are also on board as second unit co-directors. Joel Silver, Grant Hill, Larry Wachowski and Andy Wachowski are producing, with Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and William Fay serving as executive producers.

All I can say is… This is SWEET! I’m not sure who put this together (likely the owner of the watermark on the bottom-right corner of the video that I can’t make out) but, a really good job they did! Basically, this is simply a lengthy montage of behind-the-scenes footage - set to music - of Rain training and rehearsing his stunts and fight choreography for the upcoming ‘Ninja Assassin’ movie from the Wachowski brothers. Oh, but it’s sure entertaining to watch! I’ll let the video speak for itself

Could I interest you in some ninja fighting?

I’ve been suspicious of those Wachowski brothers ever since they dropped the ball with those Matrix sequels. What a load of mini cooper. Oh yeah, “we have a trilogy of scripts”. My richard simmons, you do. You two were clearly making it up as you went along. And what’s was that Speed Racer business all about?

True, you’re only producing Ninja Assassin just like you only produced V For Vendetta, but your name on any project still seems to sell scripts. Also, based on this stunt/martial arts training reel for James McTeague’s upcoming Ninja Assassin, I’m willing to cut you a little slack. This is really, really cool. Be sure to stick around for the whole thing. The money shot features a chain weapon around the neck that is exceptionally sweet.

Ninja Assassin stars Korean pop sensation, Rain, who also starred in Chan Wook Park’s last feature, I’m A Cyborg But That’s Okay as a deadly ninja who turns on his clan when his friend is killed by the very same clan. Paths cross with a Europol agent trying to track down the ninjas and stop them. Sounds like fairly standard ninja revenge fare but it’s nice to see it set in a contemporary setting and not srar Michael Dudikoff. I usually frown on all flash and no substance kinds of movies but if you can maintain a solid action pace throughout and deliver exciting stunts, I’m usually very forgiving. Don’t let me down, Ninja Assassin.

Korean Popstar Rain caught the eye of the Brothers Wachowski while producing Speed Racer and is staring in their next action flick bringing us more of Korea’s hottest star. Check out this video of some of the fight scenes being practiced for their upcoming Ninja Assassin.

You can’t really go wrong with a movie called Ninja Assassin, and this Rain guy looks like he is more than capable in the physical aspect of the movie.

The action looks incredible, and this just might be what Rain needs to establish himself in the North American market. Then we can finally see what all the fuss is about.

RAIN, “I’M LOOKING FOR A GIRLFRIEND”

1znohle.jpg

Singer Rain confessed that he is trying hard to find a girlfriend. He confessed in his interview with MBC’s ‘섹션TV 연예통신’ saying, “It’s not like I can just find one easily, but I’m trying very hard. I think I will be able to find one soon.”

After his first Hollywood film “Speed Racers,” he was casted for “Ninja Assassin.” Although from the outside he seemed to be a happy top world star, from the inside, he was suffering from an intense fight with himself.

He didn’t know many people in America so he spent most of the time in his one room apartment dealing with loneliness and depression. “On Christmas Day of 2007, I stayed home, wrapped up in a blanket, crying to myself. ” he confessed. He dealt with this by trying to have the mentality that he was starting his career as a ‘newbie.’ He ate only chicken breast for many months and exercised for many hours daily to get in shape for the movie. He tried his best for the movie, and even though he isn’t expecting much from it, he is looking foward to the responses he will get.

[Jan-08-2009] The 25 Most Anticipated Movies of 2009 (Filmschoolrejects)http://www.filmschoolrejects.com ... movies-of-2009.php/

....(I'll skip the other 24 movies here )

Ninja Assassin (TBA 2009)

Talent: James McTeigue (Director), J. Michael Straczynski (Writer), Rain, Naomie Harris, Rick Yune

The movie is called Ninja Assassin, do I even have to say why we¡¯re excited about this film? Hell, the film¡¯s star is so badass his name is just Rain. Like Madonna, but if she were a ninja. And a dude. And Korean. But seriously, this film follows a super bad richard simmons assassin out for revenge against those who trained him, but then made the mistake of killing his best friend. The stunt work and fights are coming to you courtesy of 87 Eleven, the same guys who did 300, The Bourne Films, and The Matrix. Expect this movie to have the most slice-and-dice sword action of the year as well as be a strong contender for a Best Fight nod at the end of the year, even against a lot of stiff competition. Sharpen your blades and hone your shuriken, because this is going to be bloody awesome. - Robert Fure

Jan-08-2009] Fan Acct - I went to Rain's office last Monday

Fan Account

Last Monday (January 5th), I arrived at JTune entertainment's office with my son at about 3 o'clock pm. I didn't see Rain, but could see his white van getting washed.

I asked his manager in a car wash, "When will Rain be back to the office today?"

He answered, "He's gone vacationing afternoon about 2 o'clock today."

I was disappointed at the news, nevertheless, I waited for Rain a little more to give him the cookies I had brought with me. I was seated near by his office a long time. I wish I would see him.

Unavoidably, I handed his manager the cookies, asking to deliver it to Rain.

Rain allegedly didn't appear at his office even on Tuesday and Wednesday.

He really seemed to be busy enjoying his vacation.

And I heard that he is due to leave for Japan for his fan meeting about the 11th.
