1. Phresh Select from Philly, PA

Motto: Without love, who are we?

Strength: High energy

Handicap: Cockiness, according to casting director, Michelle McNulty

Judging Roundup: As JC Chasez said, they started the show off right, but I have to agree with Shane Sparks — these guys gotta pick it up, cause what they brought has already been broughten before.

2. Sass x7 from Rutgers, NJ

Motto: Girls just wanna have fun

Strength: They fulfill every boy’s high school fantasy

Handicap: All but one have boyfriends

Judging Roundup: Didn’t prove Shane wrong — he still thinks they’re a cheerleading team. Lil Mama agrees, but JC had the girls’ backs

3. Boogie Bots from Washington, DC

Motto: The sum is greater than its parts

Strength: Everybody loves robots!

Handicap: As casting choreographer Napoleon Dumo said, if they’re gonna dance like the JabbaWockeeZ, they “gotta step it up.”

Judging Roundup: Shane wants them to stay consistent if they make it to the show

Midwest

4. A.S.I.I.D. (aka. And So It Is Done) from Detroit, MI

Motto: There’s no such thing as a handicap

Strength: Nice teamwork

Handicap: See above

Judging Roundup: A big thank you from Shane Sparks — he feels they were the first group to really bring it

5. Xtreme Dance Force from from Naperville, IL

Motto: Talent can be pretty (and from the suburbs)

Strength: Awesome technical skillz

Handicap: Look more like America’s Best Boy Band (Michelle McNulty said they “make faces like little pageant girls)

Judging Roundup: JC called them the “big underdogs” and Lil Mama asked, “It took a group of white boys to come and turn it up, huh?”

South

6. SoReal Cru from Houston, TX

Motto: We’re bringing sexy back. Again.

Strength: SoSmoothe with the slow jam dancing

Handicap: Look is a little boooooring

Judging Roundup: Lil Mama was reminded of Kaba Modern and JC said they “freaked” the audience

7. Distorted X from Houston, TX

Motto: Guys make good accessories

Strength: Pussycat Dolls with backup dudes

Handicap: The Pussycat Dolls aren’t really amazing dancers

Judging Roundup: JC and Shane like their form. Lil Mama concentrated on their great formations

West Coast

8. Super Cr3w from Vegas, Baby

Motto: B boys are good guys

Strength: They got the breakin’ thing down

Handicap: Need to read up on other dance styles

Judging Roundup: JC liked that they introduced a different dance culture and Shane told them they better represent if they make the finals

9. Fanny Pak from Los Angeles, CA

Motto: Embrace the ’80s

Strength: Retro is a forward movement

Handicap: The whole fanny pack wrap could get a little old… fast

Judging Roundup: Shane’s down with their originality and JC loves the quirky details

10. Supreme Soul from San Francisco, CA

Motto: Dance is a Varsity sport

Strength: They delivered… x1000

Handicap: JabbaWockeeZ’ top rivals, and America LOVES the Jabba’s

So I watched the live audition.

This season is... nothing new, nothing exciting. But hopefully the crews will prove me wrong. It's only the beginning, and I'll judge it when it ends.

I hear a big uproar about TM not making it, and some people are claiming that the show is "rigged" b.c if that but come on people. Having a big fanbase means nothing in a COMPETITION. In a competition, you are suppose to show your best, display your best moves RIGHT AT THE SPOT. Their dance routine obviously wasn't as great as the fanny pack but rather boring, must i say. I don't know anything about this group so I am saying this solely based on the performance I saw last night. They simply just wasn't as impressive last night.

During the last season, I knew nothing about kaba and jabba when they first came out, but they amazed me right from the start.

I find it funny how this show is occupied with so many asians. Not a good but not a bad thing either.

I think the group ASIID is great btw!

And great, we have 2 cheerleading "crews. -___-

Maybe it's their outfits, or just simply the way they move.... but its reminds me too much of those cheerleaders back in my high school days.

I think they auditioned for the wrong competition, no?

Not that they aren't good dancers... I just don't think I would classify them as a "crew."

I think all the teams has found their downfall

from Joey of A.S.I.I.D.

Personally I like A.S.I.I.D's energy and spunk.

And because of Joey's deafness,

they might get alot of sympathy votes.

As oppose to votes on actually performance.

As for TM, I'm not suprised that they didn't make

I definitely agree with you on that. As much skill everyone knows TM has, they just didn't showcase it well. Fanny Pack did a really good job showing their versatility through segments of songs. TM stuck with one song with one style choreography. That was all the judges had to base it off from

As much as I love the Jabbwockeez & last season's crews, I think these guys can handle it.

At this point, I don't think we should be comparing season-to-season.

I mean, these were just the auditions.

When we really see what they're made of, then we can start thinking of how they match up.

Obviously as the first winners, Jabbawockeez are always gonna hold a place with the fans.

But we gotta give these crews a chance too!

Just watch out for surpreme soul, bionic and pharside going to be doing some crazy ish

and ppl need to stop with the wanna be jabba and kaba, you know those crew that audition has been dancing just as long as jabba and kaba..Most crew are going to have their similarity, guess what they share similar style

I just watch the live audition and some were really good that didn't get chosen. The group Shhh! was really good and I thought they should of got picked than Sass x7 since they keep saying they're nothing like cheerleaders but I see a lot of cheerleader dance going on. This season, a lot of the dance are a little similar to season 1 and like what Shane said, he wants to see something different from every group compare to last seasons. There's a lot of asian in this seasons now(just my opinion). I'm glad to see Jabbawakeez back. They'll always be #1.
