@putriN HAHAHAH you made me laugh! Great idea! Such cute gifs! I love 'em! Thank you for sharing!

We all hope and pray she'll walk with someone or be escorted by handsome guys on the red carpet.

But, first, let's all wish she'll win awards and she'll attend the Baeksang! :heart:

In light of this heart-breaking letter from this 88 yo grandma, SONG HYE KYO OUGHT TO BE DESIGNATED BY UNITED NATIONS AS ONE OF

THEIR WOMEN's GOODWILL AMBASSADORS OR CELEBRITY ADVOCATES like Nicole Kidman and Emma Watson to name a few.

Or has she been before?

I would really love to see her work with PEOPLE! She seems to have a knack for making people feel wanted and important!

Besides being easy on the eyes, she has a beautiful heart twoheaarts and a beautiful soul twoheaarts! I could only dream!  thumbup

Anyway, good Monday morning, fellow Kyonatics!

It's so heartbreaking to read the grandma's letter. :( Let's hope that she gets to see Kyo one day.

I hope no one is accusing Kyo of mediaplaying or trying to fix her image since this is not the first time she rejected a CF offer. But of course haters gonna hate and if they choose to overlook the good deeds that she's done so far, there's nothing we can do. But Kyo can always count on us to stay loyal.

He has already married and has two daughters!^^ He is a very passionate and dedicated director. I feel not only he but also the camera director is very impressed by Kyo's acting skill and passions, so they want to work with her again in the future.

I am so proud of her! She has been so considerate in choosing her cfs; how the cfs influence the public. She has also been so loyal to her current cfs; never overlap the cfs with each other.  Her way of choosing what she has to do tells indirectly what kind of lady she is. As an actress, she is gorgeous, passionate and adventurous. As a human being, she is responsible, warm, and prudent.

Beautiful HyeKyo. The letter from a granny to HyeKyo is so touching.

So I read all the discussion going on here about a handsome/cool partner (or 2 or 3 or the lot) for our dear HyeKyo for the upcoming Baeksang Awards. I will be happy once she confirms her attendance and even if she'll walk alone that night, she'll be most beautiful and gracious actress charming the media with her beautiful smiles. Though, I also secretly share a wish for her to be by someone side too (red carpet side by side, seated side by side, on stage side by side) kekeke.

Victim of forced labor thanks Song Hye-kyo for rejecting Mitsubishi Motors

A Korean woman who was pressganged into labor during the Japanese colonial era thanked actress Song Hye-kyo for rejecting an offer from Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors in a handwritten letter, Yonhap News Agency reported Monday.

The 84-year-old lady named Yang Geum-duk wrote in the letter that she was “exalted” to hear the news.

“Song did a fabulous job, which even President Park Geun-hye could not achieve,” Yang said. “This was so moving that I felt like my old resentment washed away. I was exalted.”

Yang was conscripted when she was a sixth grader, and sent to a fighter jet factory run by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Nagoya, Japan. She was not paid for her 18 months of labor. The Japanese giant is known to have mobilized more than 100,000 Koreans for forced labor before and during World War II. According to Yonhap News Agency, Mitsubishi Motor has extended neither apology nor compensation.

The Japanese carmaker, which was spun off from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in 1970, asked Song Hye-kyo to appear in a Chinese advertisement. The offer, however, was declined last month by Song’s agency UAA, which “didn’t even require a second glance.”

Song garnered worldwide popularity after she starred in KBS 2TV series “Descendants of the Sun.”
