Fans have arrived early to greet Hye Kyo at the airport,tourists and visitors alike added to the crowd ,causing some confusion and chaos to the scene.Around 20 bodyguards assisted her to the parking lot,as the escalator experienced breakdown, Hye Kyo proceed to the parking lot by stairs.She managed to sign autographs for fans eventhough she has already hopped on to the car, showing her easy going and friendly manner.

An Academy Salute to Wong Kar Wai

The Academy’s summer celebration of kung fu continues with a salute to writer-director Wong Kar Wai and a special advance screening of “The Grandmaster,” his new film about the instructor who trained Bruce Lee.

Hong Kong-based filmmaker Wong Kar Wai is known for his unique sense of style and emotionally resonant work. The first Chinese director to win the Best Director Award at the Cannes Film Festival for his 1997 film “Happy Together,” Wong has been called a “poet of time” by Sight & Sound and “perhaps the most revered and singular of Hong Kong auteurs” by The New York Times.

His other films include “Chungking Express,” “Fallen Angels,” “In the Mood for Love,” “2046” and his first English-language film, “My Blueberry Nights,” which starred Norah Jones in her acting debut.

“The Grandmaster” tells the story of martial arts grandmaster Ip Man (Tony Leung), who trained Bruce Lee. As he seeks to perfect his practice of the fighting style Wing Chun, Ip Man collides with another determined kung fu master, Gong Er (Ziyi Zhang), during the Japanese invasion of China in 1936 and the tumultuous years that follow. The cast also includes Wang Qingxiang, Chang Chen, Xiao Shengyang and Song Hye Kyo, as well as hundreds of Asia’s top martial artists.

The film has already been released in China and will hit U.S. theaters on August 23.

Quick translation for the video:

Korean actress, Song Hye Kyo came today to promote TWTWB.  There were about 20-30 fans plus reporters waiting for her already at the airport.  She came out with her staff and graciously accepted our bouquet of fresh flowers.  Then with around 10 bodyguards assisting, she made her way to the parking lot.  Her well-behaved fans follow along and she smiled and waved to them.  Everything went well until they used the escalator when a little accident happened.  The escalator suddenly stopped working and Kyo got scared.  Luckily, no one was hurt.  Even though that little accident happened, she was smiling all the way to the car.  She even thoughtfully gave her fans autographs and shook their hands.  There's no diva-ish attitude to her at all.  Before the car left, she waved bye to everyone.
