Song Hye Kyo in “I am Queen”

 1. The move is not out yet so it's quite early to say that she is not shining. On the opposite, based on the trailer, it is quite safe to say that she is one of the most shining actresses (I believe she is the most shining actress but I would rather say "one of the most shining actresses" out of respect for other members of the cast and in order to be safe because, again, we have not really watched the movie yet). 

 2. I can understand that a lot of fans are not used to seeing her in a bed scene (and would not like her to do one), but please distinguish bed scene from pornography. While I don't want to go into details about "what is porn", I think it is too far to say that some of her scenes are reaching the "porn" boundary. Again, we have to watch the movie to see whether the scene is necessary or not. For the time being, I personally think we should trust Song Hye Kyo. I don't think she would agree to do it if it were not necessary or if it would lead to too much exposure. Please note that this is not the first time she has done a bed scene. Those scenes in "Worlds Within" for example were necessary, naturally and beautifully done, and full of chemistry.  

 3. I agree that for this movie, she worked with a "less well known" cast (the cast in "I am Queen" are also very well known; they all have a lot of fans. They are just less well known compared to Tony Leung or Zhang Ziyi). This does not necessarily mean that the movie will be a bad one. I have seen some bad full-of-stars movies.  And by the way, isn't it partly thanks to the fact that she is more well known that she has a clearly centered role and more screen time in this one? 

 4. The fact that a director is new does not always and automatically mean that his or her first movie is certainly bad. I personally have seen a lot of good movie debuts by first time directors. I am not saying that "I am Queen" is a good one. I am just saying that we don't have to draw negative conclusions at this moment yet. Let us now be supportive of Song Hye Kyo's new movie and her decision to join the movie and offer our judgment after we really watch the movie.

 For now, I wish “I am Queen” a great success.

oh, you chingus worry for the bed scene? i didn't even notice ) . i am sure it was done tastefully...no worries lah. She is a proffesional actor and at the same time the most conservative actress i have ever known, i dun have any concerns about this at all kekeke.

I've never heard about Annie Yi before  and therfore a bit worry for her choosing IAQ as it's Annie's debut project... honestly IAQ didn't catch my attention, esp the script, still not sure the contents of the movie  /:) . But the trailer looks good for me and hopefully it 'll be well recieved by the audiences.  Kyo's choices of works in China so far doesn't disappoint me, i admire her patiences for the long time of TGM's filming, for other ppl, they might have been quit. It made me love her more. Sure it was tiring for Kyo, but i think the result was positive gaining despite to her few minutes appearance in TGM. She learned and she gained the respects from the directors as well as her fans if we look at different perspectives. For TC, director JW is a big director , i dun think he needs to choose her to gain anything, i guess he must really like Kyo as well as Kyo loves his works and wanting to work with him. Personally, TC is the most anticipating work in China of Kyo which i am looking forward as i believe the script is good, Kyo is 1 of the main charaters. SHe had been considered in the movie since 2008 and i thot it was wise of her to stick to it despite to everything. My most concerning is actually IAQ, but the trailer looks promising. hopefully it 's good movie. AJa, aja fighting!

Given how conservative SHK is, I am sure the sexier scenes will be rather tame And like some of you mentioned, if SHK wanted to go the sexy route via skin exposure, she would have done so a while ago. As for the trailer, the bed scenes might just be what you see is what you get ONLY ...the scenes probably don't extend much beyond those few shots, to the dismay of male movie watchers, I am sure.
As for the director, I only question her business acumen...which I hope will not affect the success of the film! And @hdpsp, it's true that one can't judge a film based on experience of the director. Zhao Wei, another actress turned director, made great stride with her directorial debut. Hopefully, Annie Yi will do the same
Look at all the discussion that bloomed from AnnW's post, which I believe takes a protective stance rather than a tone of negativity. While there are disagreement on certain issues, I am glad that all of you contribute your differing opinions in a thoughtful manner. In the end, we all just want SHK to be a happy woman! >-

yes, we can't do any final judgement whether the movie is good or bad or it will be on the boxoffice list,  base only to what we see on trailer, or read on every propagandas, nor it does not guarantee the success  whoever is, and what  experiences the director have, same goes to the cast,  who the actor/ actress played the roles and characters, even if they are a well known or newcomer... we all need to see the whole movie itself before get confused by some comments and reactions of negative people who dislike KYO or other person in the project/ movie..   I firmly believed that Kyo like the script and story and wanted to venture in a new experience are some of the reasons why she accepted the IAM project...no matter what the outcome of the movie on the box office,  as long as Kyo is part of it i will respect her decision to be part of the project,  support her by watching it and if something didn't hit my expectations or put me in dismay then i will voice out any of it...so far  in every movie/ drama HyeKyo have been, she maintained her innocent/wholesome/ and responsible image since the first drama that capture our hearts to love her..
