My biggest surprise was seeing Song Ji Hyo bared all of her like this.... Would it be because she was so desperate to save her career???? Just like many have pointed out, there was no love between the Queen and the Bodyguard - looks like it was pure lust.

anyway Ji Hyo has a great Job!!.. all of them JIS,JJM, SJH this movie Reach more than 3 million viewers ( don't add Speedy Scandal ), while another movie was Flopped!!..lot of movie with big star but just watched less than 1 million viewers or worst just less then 500 thousand viewers.

JIS won Awards as best actor after his previous job with Yoo ha so that why maybe he approve this. and Yooha has ever made this type movie.. who was played Uhm Junghwa and Gam Woo sung Both Won awards as best actress and actor because his movie . and now Joo jin mo

JJM was so good in this movie, he expressed love, sadness and jealousy so well that even when he went into that crazy rage I still liked him. I couldn't help feeling sorry for the king...

What did it mean when the guard turned his head to look at the king during the final scene?

I saw this movie yesterday. Much thanks for the upload! I can't wait for the Eng subs to be available.

The reason I saw it aside from the hype was because two of the three Korean male stars I admire are in this movie, and interestingly enough play each other's love interest. I agree with the others who commented about the excessive sex scenes between the Head Bodyguard and the Queen, but in a way I do understand the intention although it was overdone. If you had been "repressed or supressed or one of the S words" all your life as the two had been and you suddenly share something unexpectedly powerful with the other person, what can you do?

exclude the sex scenes, I think everything is good: Storyline, actions, scenes, music...I donot have sub , so I don't understand what they say. But their faces show the feelings very well. From what I watched, the Head Bodyguard never shows anything like love toward the King, but his look to the Queen is full of love and emotion. If they did not put so many sex scenes that pissed me off, I think it is a very good film to see.

I want to watch it with Engsub. If anyone has sub please .......

I have seen the movie and think the three main actors all acted very well. JJM did steal my eyes with his face / eyes expressions. Plus, JIS also played his role very well - you can also read emotion from his eyes easily.

By the way, I have read most of the critics and do think SJH deserves more phrases and respects. First of all, I think she is very brave to take this role even though she knew there would be nude scenes. Some people used bad words to criticise her being desperate to gain the public attention - I do not think it is so fair. Please be so kind to remember that she is a professional actress. Like other actresses who took the audition for this movie, not only her wanted to play this role. Once she was selected, she just did her job - acting according to the script - being the queen in the story.

Secondly, some people said her face expression was a kind of blank in the movie - I think it is based on her role as a queen. Looking in the movie, the queen was also sitting with the king during the meetings. And, most importantly, she dared to challenage the opposing opinions from other ministers / officials during the meeting - which means she also involves in politics and has been a supporter to the king. Being the second leader in the palace, I do not think the queen can gain respects from all these old ministers / officials by playing as an emotional little princess.

I have seen her acting in Jumong - from there, you see a different person.

Regarding the sex scenes, I think it is a bit too much but I understand Yu Ha wants to use them to show how the relationship change between the three main actors. If we pay attention not only to how they pose their bodies, you can see from some little acts or face expressions how the queen and the bodyguard fell for each other. They eventually start looking at each other's face, exchange kisses and grab each other's body.

Just complete this movie. Thou get myself prepared after reading here...but the sex scene still SHOCK me..it just like watching porn movie! didnt expect to that extent!!! However i wont denied this was a good movie...jus that the sex scene was OVER!

I also don't think Hong Rim ever loved the King or the Queen. His feelings for the King were more to admiration and gratitude, whilst his feelings for the Queen stemmed from his lust and desire for sex. In short, the King and the Queen both loved Hong Rim with their hearts, he was just a confused sex addict.

Personally I think the storyline is Bull-S***. I mean if JIS gay, how could he even screw the queen so many times. And when he told JJM that he has never loved him, I was like "WTH", then why even bother sleep with him for the past 15 years and so. If he's so straight, he should rather die than sleep or even have sex with a man. And if he is straight, he must be a damn good actor to fake during all those sex sessions with JJM.

And I can't even feel the love between JIS and SJH. All they ever do is SEX, SEX and more SEX!! I think the sex scenes are in for the shock value which in my opinion should be toned down abit more. There are so many intense sex scenes which make this film looks like an softcore porno movie. I totally hate this aspect.

I was so pissed with the movie, I was FAST-FORWARDING the movie. I just hate the way they twisted the storyline. By turning a "gay" man "straight". I was expecting a touching gay-love story, but all I get is this softcore porno flick with a subplot that is like totally irrelevant. It's like hey, we have 2hrs of film time, let's just throw in some random and cliche royal battle in the midst of a story about a pathetic gay discovering he that he is not so gay afterall because he has just screwed a girl for the first time. All I see is that he is this horny guy and is looking for a girl to screw.

The production and setting is good. But the storyline PISSED me off big time. And I must say JJM is really good in this film. I pity his character alot. Unrequited love is heartbreaking. And I didn't expect that SJH will go all the way in the movie, that takes alot of courage. Same for JIS.

And I must admit, I was so happy that JIS got castrated. He totally deserves it for being such a jerk and player.

Sorry for my rant and my crude remarks, but I was truly disappointed with how the direction of the movie went.

i really agree with both of you, i fast forward through the whole movie. right now i have to keep my mouth shut because i m still waiting for the english sub title to come out and will give out my opinion.

Well here is my take on that. We are all born to a society that believe in woman for men so yes we do start out believing that we are straight. So you can wake up one day and go "oops i'm gay". It takes a lot and I mean a lot to figure out as well as accept that one is gay. You go through a period of denial but when you finally accept and admit that you are gay, it isn't easy to go straight. It's easier to believe that you are bi then to believe that you are gay. It's just embedded to our minds for some reason, even if you are raised in a homosexual family. So yeah if you are gay, you just don't wake up one day and go "oh darn it! i'm straight after all. It was just a phase."

Unless you're talking about lesbian action. With that, I just find 50/50 possibilities. Women tend to go with "trend". Women can still be completely straight but participate in a lesbian activities cus for women, they just think it's ok since they can't technically penetrate (sorry if i'm being too blunt or not rated G, just couldn't find another word to describe it). However with guys, once it's in it's over.

i am not disappointed since i haven't found the " real" subs so i will comment overall .. yeah..i just realized that but hey even in usual relationship ( like dating or marriage ) that currently happened for someone who can cheat because one moment. i think some movie take this as theme i think. like someone who's been dating for 10 years with his GF but then He is going somewhere and met a girl once but easily in love with that girl. because they have been in really deep moment. you know.. like serendipity, i forget another movie. but FF in Extreme way hahaha
