    I dudn't like Chan Sung being left behind because it hit close to home in a way. I had lost a dear friend a little more than a year back. Those who have passed away will move on as they should....those left behind have the burden to deal with it, make peace with it, hold on to the bitter sweet memories and get used to a world that suddenly does not have their loved ones. Its a heavy, heavy burden....the end was a tad bit too realistic for a fantasy setting....who knows after how many lifetime they would meet again....It had to be Chan Sung though....only he has the strength in his soul to bear this heavy pain without letting it consume him im bitterness and darkness....the pain it takes to move forward without your loved ones and living your life....by the fantasy world of HDL, he would have a great fortune in his next lifetime so here's hoping he finds his way back to Man Wol in his next life...and with this I say goodbye to this forum....enjoyed the show and the forum immensely...thanks a ton people...see you all in another thread

    I think CM's story holds in terms of grand romance Sageuk but this isn't the genre....sadly as the story has progressed through 14 episodes we have seen how CS has evolved and how much of a better match he is to MW. He has quietly been by her side, he didn't make life or death decisions for her but let her make those choices while at every point reminding her that choosing to let go is a strength, happiness is a choice....he didn't ask for anything in return....so that is why MW walked away from CM....it felt organic to me.....I mean who would not make that choice....MW and CM could have been a lot of things....but that lifetime passed by both of them while they held onto all of their regret and grudge....it was time to let go....also CS deserves happiness....I am hoping he gets some of that at least

    A man and woman who loved each other..even killed many for each other and she is waiting him with hate/love feelings and he is following her for 1000 years secretly. That will also bring him more score and sure MW will also learn all the story.

     

    We all know she will choose CS. She loves him but Hong Sisters give our boy a herotic action that will surpass the romanticism of MW and CM story..<_<....maybe he can wear that tiger print jacket for her. :phew:

     

    Look at it this way.....Chocolate and Sugar tastes nice but it can give you diabetes.....CM and MW are that way....they have a intense love hate relationship that has connected them for 1000 years but neither had been able to do anything good for each other...in fact they have done more harm to each other and the collateral damage has been insanely large.....CS has spent a few months yet MW has made more progress to restore her inner peace, smiled more genuinely and even forgiven herself to an extent over that period....why??? Because CS is not a Knight in shining armor who burns bright only for moments....he is that quite, genuinely nice, decent guy who will stand by you and just be there as an umbrella sheilding you from both intense heat and cold rain....when life throws curve balls at you....you don't need grand romance....what you need is a steady hand to just hold on to face the storm...somebody to just be there for you....for me CS is one of the best written korean drama male lead so far in a way....because I find his qualities more appealing and realistic....just saying

    The Princess paid for her sins, I think. She was reborn many times so she most probably has had chances to redeem herself. I would like Sanchez to be Yeon Woo. He seems like a guy living a good life due to his good karma. As for Chan Seung and Man Wol....love how they say simple things to each other....nothing fancy....I will be by your side even if this is your hell or cage....I won't leave you so protect me....This is torture....I won't let you be tortured with me....they love each other, put each other before their own self...I find the simplicity of their emotions refreshing.

    We dont know which one was her love....seeing her in bridal attire ready to kill, I doubt it was the Captain

    I do think the past king maybe played by Yeo Jin Goo but I doubt if Chan sung is reincarnation of that person....Chansung is kind, sweet and Ma Go likes his nature, so why would a cruel person be reborn as a good human?? It could also be the case that Man Wol was married off to a nobleman who really had nothing to do with the tragedy that killed Captain or Yeon Woo. He may have loved Man Wol or taken her as a concubine to save her. Man Wol may have killed him in blind rage without knowing everything and later killed herself or got killed....just a wild, wild theory.

    Its just some people in international sites....I see their chemistry....it started getting stronger since episode 4.

    I find it interesting that MV isn't keen on ending her "punishment". She isn't bored with living like Goblin or Do Min Joon from Love from the star, in fact she enjoys bingeing and shopping alright :D

    acknowledge it and punishment was finalized?

    I think Man Wol may have went on a killing spree at some point in her life and hence her punishment. Her not changing means instead of acknowledging where things went wrong, she has stubbornly been on denial and has gotten materialistic to hide that. I also love how easily CS has accepted his role as the guy who would help Man Wol figure it out. He was chosen for a reason. He has an innate ability that allows him to see the good in everything. The opposite of Man Wol. He has already fallen for Man Wol, atleast he has started to like the Man Wol he is seeing in his dreams, the one who would smile. I liked how he gave in to that kiss....but what would be their fate like. He is human and she is stuck in time and quite past her time on earth.

    Hi everyone.....loving the show....Hong Sisters finally found their mojo back, it seems. Great start and wonderful plot progression. I think that Jin Goo is somehow connected to IU's past life. As cliche as it is, within the setting, reincarnated past lover makes sense to me. I also have a theory. IU is frozen in time. She neither ages nor dies while time flows by as her punishment. What if her clock starts ticking thanks to Jin Goo. But what if it means Jin Goo's clock will run out for hers to start again. So she will live but for that his clock will have to stop ticking. In the preview, the tree is coming to life again. I love IU here to bits by the way. I love flawed heroines....coming fresh from having admired Yeon Seo in ALML thread. So, lets hope she keeps being badass till the very end. Also it seems to me that Hotel Luna is a post that gets handed over. IU inherited that from the old lady so who will inherit it next.

    Also this thread is dedicated to Shin Hae Sun...sharing stories, her success, her projects, roles etc. with respect. Not a place where you bash her indirectly, her costars and her projects because you for some reason can't or won't do it in the right place for that. Criticism is valid as long as done with respect, bashing is not. That is a general rule forum wide, not just here. Constructive criticism people , not disrespectful bashing.

    @jakey09 I dont read posts by certain somebody in question because they are most often long and condescending. Even I don't think ALML is flawless, there are things that work and things that dont work. But this is by no means SHS's worst project. Infact none of her works so far can be termed 'Worst' upon careful consideration. They may not be perfect, some of them dont give her enough time to shine but each one is a stepping stone and is a testament to her dedication and hard work. It was only 4 dramas ago that she was getting shredded to pieces for having a role that was not traditional second female lead, had more chemistry with the lead and was getting all the accolades. That was Secret Forest. I remember being among a handful of people defending her during Secret Forest in Dramabeans comment section. Now when I go and find people praising her there, saying things like 'She is the sole reason they are watching this or that', it gives me immense joy. Lets not focus on negativity. This is a place to discuss her with respect, speak about her with admiration that she has earned, we shall do that. Criticism of her project is valid but disrespect for her is unwelcome. I agree

    @kokkuri33 SHS's other project did not have much product placement as she has gained popularity and endorsements fairly recently, I also noticed her wardrobe got an upgrade to famous designer like Zara, Fendi, Bulgari ...in ALML, love it. Her Tory Birch dress, I will buy it if I get that money someday. As for commentary on secondary characters, there is a seperate thread for that where you can do that as much as you like. Its kinda out of place here.

    You know, actors dont get to decide and it pays their bills too....romcom was all that worked at a time...now its different....better late than never
