  1. I just found someone's beautiful and well done review of the drama. He noticed little things we may have overlooked during our watch. Now I guess I'll have to watch the drama again!!
  2. first on the list is Secret Love Affair... no explanation needed. I Hear Your Voice - I still remember the "bored lawyer" scene in episode 1, which I think was the funniest lawyer behaviour on Tv for me. I was appalled and amused she was behaving that way! LOL!! Their chemistry was top tier! What's Up Fox and Dal Ja's Spring - Dal Ja's Spring has a special place in my heart as the first noona romance I ever watched. I think I fell in love with Korea because of this trope. It was a new and amazing experience. The OST was amazing, the story was hilarious and heartwarming, the characters were interesting, the actors played their parts so well.... I still love this drama all these years later! I just finished a rewatch of What's Up Fox and it still holds up... funny, heartwarming, good story... these are dramas that make me long for the good old days of KDrama... Hyena - I was hesitant about the drama but the teaser (where you got the images from) convinced me to watch the drama. Their chemistry was FIRE!! OMG!! My Name Is Kim Sam Soon - OG drama... My first actress love Kim Sun Ah... I love this actress to the ends of the earth. She can do no wrong in my eyes (except make some drama choices I didn't like hahahaha) K2 - self explanatory. Lost - the female lead's story was the story of my life... Something In The Rain and One Spring Night... This writer knows how to make my heart beat. I look forward to her next drama! I want to write more because I chose almost all the couples, but I need to get back to assignments....
  3. I'm "watching" this drama, meaning I let my eyes focus on the screen as it plays. Must be FOMO keeping me there. Maybe I've watched dramas for too long, but I'm blasé about it... If a person doesn't watch it, they're not missing out, I fear!
  4. Lol It was toxic, but very, VERY realistic. The choices were logical for characters of that age and for people in university. You recognise people who behaved the same way in their youth when you watch Nevertheless. I recommend the drama, even more because the cinematography and music director was done by women directors, whose perspective made the drama more beautiful.
  5. The only answer here is K2!! I also chose Nevertheless as option 2 because I had no choice. Man, they left us high and dry with that K2 couple!!
  6. Listen!! Normally I'd punch someone who grabbed my wrist... But since the Oppa who grabs me when I fall is Gong Yoo in (Q3), I will go against my morals and French kiss him (question 1), and then in Q2, we'll have a contract where he buys me a house etc... there's other things I'd put in that contract, but out of respect for the man, even if it's just a game, I will only make him spend money on me!! Lol!!
  7. How did you know??!! so close!! 68 KDrama 8 CDrama (though I suspect there's more) 1 JDorama I used mydramalist statistics for this...
  8. Hehehe! No one online produced one of those end year "how many dramas did you watch in 2023?" images that I use to keep count, so I put off the exercise. I'll count them before I sleep. I am curious too. My Demon Story of Park's Marriage Contract Tell Me You Love Me Marry My Husband Maestra Welcome to Samdalri My happy Ending Between him and her Death Game Gyeongseong creature Story of Kunning Palace Sparkling Watermelon Someday (2006) I'm also rewatching: More Beautiful Than A Flower (2004) - the drama that made me a KDrama lover What's Up Fox (2006) Age of Youth Something in The Rain SKY Castle This list is already exhausting, so I don't know what I'll do with all the good 2024 CDramas I want to watch already! My plan this year is to watch a drama to completion before I pick another, especially those rewatches, instead of having multiple dramas on the list
  9. I'm scared to count.... I WATCHED too many dramas. lol!! (✷‿✷) I also forgot to add "One Day Off", which was a brilliant, lovely drama. I didn't want to watch it because it seemed like a travelogue (I hate preachy, emotional blackmail), but man, was it a reveal or what!! Quick and easy to watch if you're interested, but hits the emotional notes. Very much a KDrama, but very different in execution that made it memorable and unique. If I'm not wrong, they're considering season two because it was very popular, a sleeper hit. It suits the lead actress very much, because she is low-key quirky. I can see why she chose to star in the drama.
  10. CDramas were better for me than KDrama in 2023... Best of the ones I watched were Meet Yourself, All The Way to The Sun and Hilarious Family. Meet Yourself was the perfect slice of life, All the Way to The Sun was the perfect, well acted adult drama, and Hilarious Family was the most perfect Chinese drama for me (Hit every romance and comedy plot beat, the actors delivered 150%, the script was so solid I am honestly shocked and happy at the level of quality, and the production was perfect)
  11. Yep. The day his relationship was announced!! I'm so glad to hear this!! he and I can be together and commiserate over how much we are not marriage material. (He must have a very critical internal voice.) This man is FINE!! Jesus!
  12. Mine is, and always will be, Gong Yoo. That is, until he announces he has a girlfriend/wife. In which case I'll take him off my list, same way I dropped Hyun Bin
  13. I want this drama to keep going because I want to see them living happily past the end, but I don't want this drama to end!! When the drama starts, Mo Eun is presented as a struggling character, chasing her acting dreams in her thirties when she has a lower chance of breaking in. Those slaps she endured on the set for a one line gig had me asking why she couldn't just go back to a "steady job", but also wishing she can get her break soon! As we headed to episode 6, I realised that the writer has fashioned her as a forthright, courageous woman who goes headlong for what she wants, even as she looked defeated. She is going for an acting career, and has been the one who goes after Jin Woo. Therefore, her confession was consistent with her characterisation. The confession was beautiful. Simple, direct, honest. His reaction... His silence was perfect. I didn't mind that they switched to music instead of him signing back his acceptance. I teared up in happiness for two deserving fictional characters! It's been a while since I cried for fake people! I also love how we circled back to the beach where they first met for this confession scene... Someone on twitter noted that they met on the beach where they first communicated with gestures and his phone and the second beach date is back on that beach, where she confesses in sign language... The metaphor and development was not lost on me. I hope that the drama continues to unfold beautifully as it has..
  14. Episode 1 was so perfect!! Ughhhh! My heart!! (But why do they drop all the best dramas at the end of the year after making us suffer?)
