  1. I wonder if there are more characters to be introduced, since Jeong Won mentioned she was going to visit with her uncle before going to the office.  So she's the money person and her husband married her for that.  Evidently that's why poor schmuck mistress mused,  "If I had been rich instead of poor, could I have married you?" (to Joon Hoo)

These late subs are driving me nuts.

  2. Drunken former father-in-law was so distraught that HJ was called in addition to Jin Sang.  I don't know the conversation, but HJ did her best to calm him down and get him home.  She ragged on ex and new bride, which probably means nothing to those two.  FIL misses someone to look after him and just can't get it together.

Dae Gu knew that HJ was called out over the incident and he and son went and picked up HJ in his car when she was through.  That relationship is cute and they are getting closer.

Jeong Won got ready for work without her husband knowing.  She is working at their company and the team welcomed her enthusiastically.  Her husband's step mother called him and asked if he knew about JW going back to work.... Surprise!!  He quickly got flowers and welcomed her at the office and offered dinner (?) to the team.  Dumb mistress/actress saw it all as they left, and the lunchbox she prepared was dumped in the garbage.  JW actually saw her on the way out, so I don't know JW's plan, as her husband went home and slept in their bed.

Preview shows Jin Bong trying to avoid Cheol Jin as he looks for her.

  3. I'm going to hold on to the hope that nothing happened between Cheol Jin and Jin Bong even though they woke up together.  It just galls me that we have to go with this storyline once again.  This drama has to hold the record for promiscuous sex, so why not just give CJ's mother a heart attack if she finds out what her son has been up to?

@marrez1... agree with you about not knowing the link between families.  Let's see... they live in the same neighborhood,  Hae Jin lived with her in-laws, there was a child that surely had birthday parties, school events, piano recitals, etc. that brought them all together, but CJ is so dense that he doesn't know his sister's sister-in-law?  Wow... that's a stretch.

  4. Once Jin Bong discovers who Cheol Jin is, she just might be the one to back off , since that scene with JB and HJ was very sincere with JB feeling so bad toward HJ.  You have to consider  HJ's poor mother and what she went through with that family.  Mom deserves a better choice than someone from the Lee family.  Family events would be awkward considering the new arrangements.

And several episodes ago when Cheol Jin was introduced to Jeong Won through his mother, that seemed unbelievable that he didn't know her.  That's the wife of his boss.  This is a media company that surely has award ceremonies, banquets, public relation events, etc. where Jeong Won would be with her husband.  Or at least it would seem.

  5. I feel the same way.  Oh Dae Koo was very direct with his son and eased the family tension by telling him that Dad and Mom were divorcing.  Hae Jin is acting cowardly by not explaining the situation to her daughter, so Yu Ri is going to be devastated and feeling abandoned.  I know her Dad is a jerk, but kids take it hard.  This drama is so matriarchal anyway, and the women are a mess.

  6. @Lmangla... Your comment nails it with this "slow walk" to the divorce court.  I have to credit the writer here for showing the impact of the cheaters on the hurting spouses, and not throwing in the towel too soon in order for the louts to walk off like they just shed an old coat.  A lot of self examination needs to take place until the "Am I better off with him or without him?" question takes hold and starts to make sense.  It doesn't relieve the burn of infidelity, but it is a process that needs to happen.  The writing is thoughtful and deep, somewhat different from the ordinary  breakup scenes.

I'm wondering how HK was able to climb those stairs in 4 inch heels while being totally inebriated. Lol.

I'm assuming that is a set, not someone's house, but the railing also looks kind of flimsy.  The stairs look fake and way too steep.  Another thing that bothers me is the big 2x4 planks at the thresholds of doorways.  I,  for one, would be tripping over them every time.

Thanks so much, drmjs, for the summary.  We appreciate that.:)

  8. Regarding HK/SR conversation about Pudoxin.... There is no way that HK , as a lawyer, would say anything to SR about the drug not being safe.  She would trigger a big red flag if she even suggested that the drug had problems, and since she was involved in defending the company, there is no way she would respond to SR's accusations.  SR is naive, and HK would have an obligation (although  it wasn't moral) to keep quiet.  I don't think it was a plot against SR, just her position as a lawyer.

The company has kept the lid on things regarding Pudoxin as long as they could settle suits with money.  But the plot thickens now as HK challenges the company and brother-in-law as to the safety of this drug.  B-I-L is beginning to squirm as HK forces them to go through a complete trial, hopefully with some pretty damaging evidence collected by BS.  She's going for broke and probably will suffer some real consequences to her career, but I think that is want she wants in order to start doing the right thing.

  9. Oh, my, what a story... it always takes me a few days to digest what I just saw, so just a couple of observations.  As HK regains more and more memories, I think she will come to realize that she was part of the problem at the company regarding Pudoxin.  That's why I see her as the coach for BS and will stay in the background as he takes on the case.  The seed was planted in this last episode about him being discouraged about being a lawyer while Dad tried to be supportive.  She is a great resource and very smart, but knows she cannot be totally visible.

And evil brother-in-law is chomping at the bit, convinced that if HK gets involved she will go down too.  That's why I think it will be BS as the central lawyer, carefully crafting the case to destroy the whole group.  The sticky wicket for evil BIL comes when he declared HK dead, complete with urn and ashes.  He can't really go after HK if she is supposed to be "dead".  His evil deeds should put him away for a long time.

  10. I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this, but remember how it was a big deal when HK left her thumbprint on the divorce document?  That will be the factor to truly identify her.  I thought JE was supposed to be smart.  Anyway, the divorce document could be the double edged sword for SR... if it wasn't filed and someone hides it to hide the thumbprint, then HK and JE are still married.  If it was filed, the print will confirm HK's identity.

I'm no longer worry about Eun Hee going soft-hearted and returning to scrunch-faced.  That was the finale of their relationship.  Now, she will proceed with the divorce.  =D>

It's amazing, regardless of wealth and social standing, that both JS' MIL and JH's MIL has the same standard and values.  Their bio-child is never at fault. They will always blame it on the other party, regardless of how illogical or absurd they sound.  They will always defend and protect their own child, even if, in their heart, they know their child is the one who has done wrong.

Lest, anyone thinks these two mothers are not real, they are real.  Although, I haven't encounter their type for a long time.   In my last encounter with a woman like them, I commented to my elders about the absurdity of her defensive statements, which produced the explanation that 'it is just a mother protecting and defending her child'.  At which point, I said, with a smile, loud enough for all to hear, "Oh, so that's why her son doesn't know right from wrong! Whoa, that must make it hard for him be an adult.  Wonder how he's doing at work?"  (Guy could hardly get a job and never could hold one for long.) None of my elders replied to my comment.  And, she must have overheard me because she shut up.  >:P

As for MIL's phone conversation with JH and calling her dim-witted, here's how I would have replied to MIL:  "I'm too dim-witted to serve anyone, especially someone of your high standards. Annyeong." >:P
