Yesterday (Saturday) before going to bed at last I managed to watch Hyunie's radio interview without understanding much but thoroughly enjoying her bubbly cuteness and her smiles This morning I woke up and found the full translation by @riririru (thank you so, so much for taking the time to translate everything! ) so I was super happy. Now I only have to find the time to backread almost 20 pages, and then I can join the fun again. For the time being, I wish a great week ahead to all of you (and good luck to our baby girl for her exams! I am sure she'll do well and so she will be able to enjoy her mid-term holidays )

Wait a sec, guys... I haven't had time to listen to / watch the radio interview yet (that will have to wait at least till the weekend ) and I have not backbreaking, but while quickly going through the last few pages here and my sns I could not help read some comments by accident ( told ya that I wouldn't be able to stay away from here and NamJi ), so I need to ask this because I am not sure if my understanding from the few bits and pieces that caught my attention is correct... Did all this mess happen just because Hyunie did not mention Wookie in her interview and instead dropped other names as actors (especially SKJ) she'd like to work with again and she said that she moved on from BH's character quickly? And because fans from other ships took this opportunity to boast their own ship and/or sink NamJi and attack NamJi shippers? Or is there actually more?

Because if there is more to it I'll stick to my intention to refrain from reading everyone's comments till I have had the chance to watch the interview for myself with an unclouded and unbiased mind. But if what I gathered from what I have read and mentioned above is all there is to it, I guess my self-imposed exile is not really necessary... So, if that is the case, someone please kindly tag me and let me know. Thanks!

On October 18th 2016 - exactly one year ago - our lovely girl posted this on her IG and KBS aired the final episode of MDBC.

The story of Lee Young and Hong RaOn came to its sweet fairytale ending in a beautiful field of cosmos flowers:

...and I still hold on to the hope that one day - when the time is right - we will get a similar happy end for our BoYoo couple as well

For now, I will take this chance to say hi to all the long-time fellow shippers that are still posting and keeping this thread alive (a heartfelt thank you for that) or at least come here to read and support BoYoo from time to time. And to greet and welcome our new friends who have joined this ship recently. It's very nice and heartwarming to see new people jumping on board and express their love for both Bogum and Yoojung and BoYoo as a couple

To celebrate, I am reposting here the link to a special edit (with zoom in and repeat ) of the ending kiss. This video was made by a fellow shipper who used to contribute a lot to this thread, especially in the beginning. I have not seen her here in a long time, unfortunately, but I hope she is doing ok. I could only take a very quick look yesterday but I see that Hyunie's latest radio show appearance caused a bit of a commotion Since I don't have time to watch the show for myself right now because I am having another crazy week at work, I think I will try to stay away from here and social media for NamJi related stuff till I can watch first. I'll read everyone's opinion later, 'cause I don't want to have any kind of "prejudice". So, please don't think that I have jumped off this ship if you don't see me liking your posts or comment here for a while, ok? On the contrary, I can tell you that for now I am not worried. I will share more thoughts as soon as I can. Till then, please stay strong, keep calm and ship on!

(I guess I'll still sneak in here from time to time because I otherwise I'll miss NamJi and I will miss you all too much, so behave, ok? )

Totally random (well, maybe not completely, but it does not matter ) ... This hit me as I was searching for something else.

This pic posted by Glorious is a BTS, right?

'cause I checked, and it is definitely not in the actual drama scene: not only JW does not smile there, but he basically pushes BH in the elevator putting his hand on her right shoulder/arm (I'll put the link to the video in the below spoiler, if you want to take a look for yourself)

I might be wrong, but to me it looks like the actors had finished shooting the scene and were just leaving together. Only that, in doing so, Wookie was about to put his hand on Hyunie's back to guide her. No big thing, sure, and it would be considered absolutely normal between friends or even colleagues in my country, but we know that Korea is different. And it might not be as conspicuous as putting his arm around her shoulders and walking away with her, but the fact that he is doing that almost unconsciously - while looking in another direction and possibly talking with someone else - speaks volumes to me. There is something about how completely familiar, normal, affectionate this gesture looks that makes me

Annyeong chingu. As I was browsing some YT videos I suddenly remembered your question way back, but I am not sure if it was answered on not. If it was, I apologize for missing the reply (as well as for such a belated reaction and still incomplete answer). If it wasn't... for what it's worth: I don't think I've ever seen the complete interview, even if judging from Nara's clothes it's clear that it was done at the same time of the drama presscon. If I remember correctly, I've only seen a few bits that aired as a part of the Late Night E News program (and that have been widely quoted and used in many fanmade videos )

1) BTS + uncut version with no BGM (to fully appreciate the nuanced and detailed acting by our OTP, of course ) of the court kiss. And, personally, I would also request more camera angles for said kiss. But... would that be too much? Too hot??

2) Raw "chup chup" sounds for each kiss (because we might want to analyze also the evolution of NamJi's acoustic chemistry, you know... ) to be released as special OST and ringtones.

To be completely honest, that is smile I've seen many times on JCW, also in old, pre-SP, pics. If you check some IG fanaccounts dedicated to Wookie, you'll see what i mean. So I don't think it's a case of mirroring or a sign that he is stalking her IG.

But of course if he has some kind of internet access, it's possible that he checks Hyunie's IG, or looks for her pics online, because he misses her smile.

We miss her smile too, after all... Looking forward to her radio appearance tomorrow!!!

Oh, BTW, in case you have not noticed... not only the uncut first kiss video hit the 3 millions views yesterday, but the BTS of the 3rd kiss + bed scene surpassed 1,5 M views (yesterday or earlier today, not sure). Here is the screenshot:

You know, I was thinking... Since often the Director 's Cut versions include the drama scripts, back then we should have petitioned to have the scripts for the bts included too. Ahah Also to make our friends from the other ships happy, you know But then I am sure that we would have found out that the sweetest parts were NamJi's ad-libs

Anyway, I was wondering if - just for fun and to pass time till May 2019 - our talented fanfic writers ( @gglex6275 and possibly others lurking around?) might be interested in trying to write the "scripts" for the various bts that were released Just a random idea, don't take it seriously. As a matter of fact, I would try and do it myself for fun, but I have never really written a fanfic, and writing in English on top of it would probably be too much for me.

'Cause it takes two to tango, right? If the tongue action had been only one-sided I would probably still ship NamJi (because that is how fabulous and magical they are together ) but just casually and with not much real hope to see them together one day. Seeing Hyunie giving her all in those kiss scenes, beyond what was required of her as a pro for the kisses to look pretty onscreen, is definitely one of the main reasons why I have faith in this couple and I come here every single day to spazz with you, chingus

Based on the info found in the main drama thread, in addition to what the other chingus have already pointed out:

- By March 16th, JCW confirmed and LSK had already declined

- March 22nd HJM declines

- March 23rd the title might be revised to Suspicious Romance

- March 29th NJH reported in the final stages of negotiations and then confirmed

At the same time, the final drama title is being decided bu Sbs and /or the production company and Suspicious Partner seems to be confirmed as of March 30th.

Hope this helps but you can check the first 5 pages of the soompi SP drama thread for a more detailed timeline if necessary. Googling can be time-consuming at times, and luckily we already have a lot of relevant information conveniently gathered here in soompi

Anyway, as far as I know it's not uncommon to change the title during the early stage of a drama production, but this decision is usually made by marketing people and has no relation with the actors (and sometimes also with the plot, LOL )

But, fellow shippers, please don't hate me for getting the facts straight here. You can still consider it a nice coincidence the fact that the final title came to describe quite well not just our reel- but also the real OTP

I've realized only recently (yes, I'm slow, I know) that this one is of a bts moment - not the actual shooting - because you can see the staff moving around in background. Now, I doubt that the sleeping part of this scene required that much rehearsal , so how long exactly did they stay like that?? Were they just resting in that position in between takes??? Is your Oppa 's leg comfortable as a pillow, Hyunie?

and I will add this one, even if @matshu has already posted a series of pictures of the SMA. But this one is from a different angle, and I like it a lot because it captures Hyunie's sweet gazing and her beautiful and warm smile... not just the polite smile one could give to a co-presenter who is talking at the moment. She is definitely listening and paying attention to him, and with a loving expression

Then, I've found more - that maybe don't fall in the proper "staring" a-la-wookie category, but definitely fit the caption of the IG post shared earlier by @matshu "When a guy likes a girl he'll look her in the eye. ETA: @babyval22 exactly because as you say the scene in the drama did not call for such a playful, happy and relaxed vibe (remember that BH knew she was going to break up with JW in a few minutes, she wouldn't have smiled like that - compare it with all of her forced other smiles during their date - and even JW, while trying to behave normally, was still shaken by the revelation of the identity of BH's father, so...), I've always taken this part as a BTS, thinking they had finished filming that part of the scene, the PD had said "cut" and they were walking to join the rest of the crew. I might be wrong, but...

Then, chingus, should we start collecting and (re)posting pics/gifs/clips of Hyunie doing the staring? 'Cause - as your two posts have just proved - we do have a number of instances even if our girl is much more discreet and less obvious

If we want to do this, here are my submissions, to begin with:

1) Necessarily the first, because it is indeed the very first time we are aware of:

I know, technically this does not qualify as "staring" and it's more "sneaking a peak", but I love this to pieces, because for me this is maybe the most unguarded moment I've seen of NJH towards JCW. The first time I saw this, I felt something between "WOW" and "Eureka" For a second she looks starstruck and so adorably shy. That would be absolutely normal for any other girl, but if you think that she has been in the business ever since she was a child, met a lot of good looking and famous actors, and she was even there that night with two handsome guys, it means that Wookie really made an impression on her that night just as she did on him. And she probably felt a spark fly there. Well, I guess both of them did, even if they could not know then that spark would become a flame and then a fire...

2)

Yes, that's EBH staring at NJW so it should not count. But it counts for me because it's the real NJH that posted this pic on her IG. And while they were filming she usually posted BTS pics to promote the drama and remind her fans to watch it, not stills from the drama itself. And it counts because she edited the pic adding a texture and the stars, so in a way she made it her own. And last but not least it counts because - as we all know - this was uploaded just the day before someone else decided to promote the show by posting on his own IG a picture of himself "looking at the [moon-emoji]"

So, feel free to disagree, but for me this counts as Hyunie doing the staring

Yes, exactly! The infamous bring-me-chicken-and-pizza-in-the-army BTS !

However, if you don't mind a little confession from me, the army visit part is not even my favorite part of it. Yes, I know that it's a super important moment for all of us NamJi shippers - especially in connection to Wookie's TV interview - and I love it like everyone else here, but if I have to choose just one scene from that BTS, it's this one for me:

1) Our boy giving up his ice cream because he'd rather hold Hyunie. It's not even the first time he flung his arm around her shoulders and walk with her, but I have to smile every time I see him do that as if it's the most natural thing in the world. It speaks of familiarity and closeness, but it's also a somewhat possessive gesture.

Actually, note that he did not really need to handle her the ice cream, because he was holding the cone with his right hand, and then put his left arm around her. He could keep his ice cream cream if he wanted. I think he gave Hyunie the ice cream to hold just to get her attention, and to distract her long enough to be able manouver is arm around her, so that she wouldn't be startled and move away. Suave move, Wookie! But in a way it also says "I don' care about the ice cream, I prefer you"

2) Hyunie. She does not hesitate a second (as if to wonder "why are you giving it to me?", "what am I supposed to do with your ice cream?") to take the ice cream cone from Wookie. True, she misunderstands his intentions, but how telling is the fact that she takes the cone and immediately moves it towards him so that he can take a bite - again, as if this is the most natural thing in the world?? To tell the truth, I've been mulling over the same topic for quite some time, and even more so since the first interviews about self mind control came out, but so far I have not been able to arrange my thoughts about that into something coherent. I think it could become a veeeeeryyyyy loooooong post from me, but i am afraid I don't have the patience or the ability to do it. Here we go, then. Again: the following translation is based only on the Japanese subtitles, and I am not a native Japanese speaker.

Q: how do you shoot love scenes? [lit: what is the know how of shooting love scenes?]
A: I boost the mood on set so that there is no embarrassment. Although it's acting, you shouldn't be embarrassed while shooting, right?
For kiss scenes too, I think it's important to perform them expressing the emotions well. I try as much as possible to create the right atmosphere so that it won't become/feel unnatural.

- 1st clip introducing the interview with JCW and promo for SP

- Wookie explaining how the atmosphere on set was bright and funny, and he enjoyed filming and kept laughing, to the point that the most difficult part while shooting the drama was to hold back the laughter and perform seriously.

Exactly!You nailed it. He tends to look at the person who is talking - and that's something I really like about him - but it is definitely nothing like what we've seen him doing with Hyunie. And yes, it's not simply the gaze, but his whole expression while he looks at her that is <3
