A lot of celebrities denied rumors about them which turned out to be true later on. Maybe they or the managers don't want to lose fans because of their relationship/marriage. I remember when Luhan announced he was dating GXT he lost a lot of followers on Weibo.

I think most of Reba's fans don't like her being paired up with Vengo. They say he's too old for her. Even some say he's too ugly
. I shipped them when I first saw them in TMOPB. Ever since my other ship went to the bottom of the sea I don't want to ship anymore
Now that I think about it the chance of Vengo and Reba together is very very slim.
