    Morning friends. Our last week together I suppose spazzing over this show. 

    Feeling a little melancholic and hoping to see more of the cast in other modern drama.

    Sageuks tend to be more melancholic than usual especially if they follow history strictly. Though fusion sageuks do have happy endings. 

    I want to have happy endings and  I hope mdbc team wont disappoint. Thats my reason for watching drama, to escape reality and to have happy endings and sweetness! I started out watching MDBC as I think its a fluffy show, but last few episodes have been especially angsty. 

    Heart is still aching, though in a good way. This show squeeze my emotions out like a juicer. Felt my heart pangs so deeply. I must say it makes me feel alive. haha, not that real life doesnt make me alive.  But reality and mundane living is focused on work, getting things done, getting chores done. 

     

    So refreshing to know so many talented soompiers here, with the fanart, comics, fanfiction, costume posts, FMVs. I dont have these 'talent', so I can only spazz and spazz.

    I rewatched the earlier episodes and I really like the cheeky cp giving raon the correct answers in the test. That was really cute. Their gaze towards each other got more intense as the episodes go. 

    i am fine if there is no preview as long as they give us a good ending and keep the quality of production. 

    I am seriously wondering what show to watch after this. Feeling the "void" when mdbc end.

    With their current live shoot schedule, its already amazing that they could still surprise us and draw us in such that we will look forward to next week. There is that cliffhanger that is angsty and curious. No one has been able to guess what is going to happen next. Its not even following the novel closely anymore. 

    So I say we give credit where credit is due and dont bash the show.

    I think they were close physically since CP carried her on his lap and they 'laid' in the same bed together. Thats how close they got. 

    As for other intimacies, we are not privy to know the details of course. haha 

    SOmehow the intimacies in this show work on the premise of less is more, hence such bombastic chemistry! 

    THat can only be achieved by such good acting by our actors.

    I wonder if the story is paving the way for CP and RAON to be married, with its unravelling of HGN and white cloud society. In addition to Minister Kim's evil plans. PD already said before this isnt following history and was loosely modelled after Prince Hyomong (forgot the spelling) 

    Well, guess I can only hang on now and wait. will hope for a happy ending. meantime, I want to watch the earlier fluffy episodes again. This show is really unpredictable and dabaek!

    This drama doesnt try to explain everything to viewers but leave clues here and there through conversations.

    No one in the story knew how hgn survived and everyone especially raon's mum was surprised. The head eunuch then said he never knew where he was or found him and thought he was dead. At this moment, no one is questioning how he stayed alive but rather how to get him our alive or to kill him. 

    I didnt think this part was so bad. They needed to resolve the root of their issue of their relationship in order to have a "happy ending". I think thats why hgn was brought into the picture. At least the cp know his motivation for rebellion was to provide better life for people when officials were overtaxing the people. At least it shows the cp as someone with similae ideas to hgn and though their status is different( they have the same ideas. That pave a better way to their eventual reunion of raon and cp.:) ( i hope! ) 

     

    i like how hy discover cp love raon in this show. Its better she know he love her as a woman rather than think he likes his eunuch. The impact is more heartfelt. I hope she plays a crucial role in helping them. 

     

    By had to do what he do to get them out and I hope ys can join forces since he is right there. I hope it is revealed that pm kim used the peasant rebellion as an excuse to attempt to kill king but failed and framed hgn as someone wanting to kill the king. 

     

    Hope the little princess managed to talk and revealed pm kim 's evil deeds eg killing cp mother. 

     

    For me, This episode most epic moment is when cp and raon sat down and talked. I especially like how cp commented how it is dark with clouds with no moon and how he cant walk in the dark and he will stay there longer. Like his little smile when he said he can finally sleep well tonight. Its like he could breathe again when he knew shes in the palace with him: 

     

    the other epic moment is when the king and hgn knew cp love raon through minister kim's reveal. When he didnt speak and looked on with determination. I find that wildly attractive. A man with steely resolve. 

     

    I miss the cute moments but I hope all this angst will make their eventual reunion sweeter and happier. Hopefully all the issues can be resolved without any drop in quality. If there is anything i dont like about korean dramas is many dont have good endings and often times the ending often appear rushed and unthought through. Hopefully mdbc can prove me wrong again with a good strong finish.

     

    i have been listening to park bo gum songs on repeat last 8 hours! He should sing more! Love his voice.

    Its really hard to predict how this drama will flow. The team did it again! I love the soulful eyes of park bo gum and kim yoo jung. How can their chemistry be so electrifying without any hug this episode? How can the intensity be so immense , more so than in a modern drama? I hope we have a good ending and that two more episodes are enough. And please no open ending!!

    Though the bracelet scene was conflicting and cruel in some ways, I think our OTP nailed it point down. The hurt and feeling in their eyes contrasts jarringly with their words, such that  you know they are both not speaking from their hearts, and yet they did what they did to protect each other and to let go of each other without making the other feel guilty or bad. 

    Raon knew she had to do something to let CP go otherwise he wont be able to live his life safely and as the future ruler of the country. In their society, love actually is frivolous when compared to survival. Alot of decisions were made out of the need to survive. Its not like in modern society when we focus so much on love. And whatever they couldnt have in love , they visit gisaengs to satisfy their need for love (for the men) whereas for women, they were expected to just follow the men they married. 

     

    Therefore I dont blame Raon on her decision. CP has a duty to his nation first and not his heart. 

    I am thrilled to know Park Bo Gum's OST is no 1 in 7 charts!!! SUPER HAPPY FOR HIM!

    Last night though I felt heart broken at ly and raon scenes but I felt hopeful at by and ys scenes. They provided the bit of hope in the episode with their rescues. Hgy appearing was also a big thing. I hope the truth will prevail. Seriously even if they deviate abit from history, I wont mind since they already said its a fusion sageuk and the prince was supposedly fictional as well though modelled after a historical figure but they changed some parts. They wanted to even change his name but didnt. i cant wait for next three episodes and I will watch it all over again!

    Wow the ost sounds way better than I expected and its no 1 on those charts mentioned? Serious bogummy magic at work! He certainly improved leaps and bounds and I am amazed he even had time to record an ost and did such a good job at that! 

     

    Episode 15 was painful esp when the bracelet broke. My heart broke with it. The last part when wedding seemed off was a total surprise! So was the part when hgy is alive! The writers really gave us many twists! I simply cannot predict how the ending will be!

    Dear Friends, 

    I tried not to think of the Angst all week and now it is the day. I keep my hopes high that it will be fine, though Angsty. 

    I didnt expect the two to meet in episode 14 and that hug was satisfactory to me though the whole episode was angsty. 

    so I hope tonight I wont be disappointed as well.  

    I think I will try to catch it streaming though I may feel like my heart stop.. 

    HOPE we can have some joy soon!
