@baduy, sorry about my postings. well, i think that jin se really faltered in asking hong ran to live with him.  he gave her false hopes . he thought that by using her he can get over chan joo. chan joo is also a user in the sense she uses eun hyuk whenever it suits her.  in epi 15, th edance partner said it best to hong ran' you degraded yourself, you ran after a married man, you helped in breaking up his marriage.  but he does not love you back. you are forsaking your dreams just because of a man who does not even care about you'.  very true!  she should love herself a little more, have some pride.  we see a lot of these stupid type of women who give up everything just because of men,  i've always believed in making something out of yourself, having a career, living up your dreams. i just can't get over her thinking that' her parents sent jin se to her'.  would her parents like the fact that she's living like a second class citizen in his home?

Just finished watching the last ep raw.  It seemed rather doubtful that this drama would have a happy ending, especially since many in this thread was so pessimistic.  But, luckily, we got our happy ending after so much anguish.  XD

just finished  epi 16 and  i loved it! ending and all. closure and happy endings for everybody.  chan joo almost belatedly realizing that the last 3 years of her life as a married woman to jin se was her happiest,  hong ran finally coming to her senses, eun hyuk showing some mercy to her to his wife and the live-in couple finally settling down.  this is the first kdrama wherein living together, infidelity, marriage break-ups is discussed maturely and without too much meddling from parents etc. etc. we were also spared from the silly antics of those supporting characters.  though i still can't get over hong ran's belief that her parents sent jin se to her, to protect her and make her happy. how did she come to that belief?

hi, 'beloved' fans all over the world.  our beloved kdrama has come to an end and what an ending it was.  no major surprises, no ending out of the box but just the same it satisfied me .  i love that jin se and and chan joo are back together, they realized how happy they were,  how they missed each other .  love moves in mysterious ways , hong ran realized that you cannot teach how and who to love.  you might love somebody to death but that person will not respond to you in the same manner.  thank you to baduy for those insightful thoughts on nuances of koreans.  i appreciated 'beloved' more because of your posts.  btw, what is the next kdrama you'll be following, i'll watch it also so i won't get lost in the translation.

If anybody comes across a watchable 720p rip of the final episode I'd appreciate a pointer. Alas the version semi-fly linked to is extremely glitchy, and repairing it would take several hours tedious work.

Thank you baduy for your explanation. I was wondering if dramafever translated it right. I am happy this drama ended. It had a lot of emotional pull for me to give up watching this heartbreak.

i'll watch 'five fingers' as i am a great believer in the  acting talents of joon ji hun.  true, he sort of got involved in drugs and the likes but you cannnot put down a talented man for so long.  he needs a second chance.  he was great in 'the princess hours' and  in 'the devil'.  he's a good actor.

loved the ending. this drama may have been emotionally tolling and heart-wrenching but i'll highly recommend it for anyone looking for a break from fluffy/rom-coms. thanks all for sharing your inputs, translations and BTS photos

@baduy: I tried to watch 5 Fingers but it was too much crying, drama, unbelievable turns of events and a bit of stupid cruelty for me to follow. The kid crying nonstop irritated me to the point I turned the sound completely down. 
Beloved still intrigues me with the absence of husband and wife talking through about their issues and just getting back together again.
