That got me to thinking: If Junmyeong's mom comes from the family that owns the pig feet restaurant (not exactly a Michelin-starred joint :tongue2:), how did she become so hoity-toity and condescending toward his (poor) first daughter-in-law (not to mention the second one, too)? The nerve of that woman! Granny had her crazy moments toward Boksu's mom, but never like this evil, scheming woman (which turned out to be her daughter)! :fury:

I guess that's why during one of the early episodes, grandma told evil mother-in-law that she was not her daughter. I guess she couldn't understand why her daughter was that way. : )

Seems to me that JM's mother did express her emotional at her mum's altar in front of her daughter-in-law, m hoping if she may try to keep the marriage? Really wish to see happy ending for the poor couple. (i dont like tt photographer!!)

me too . i teared up right from the beginning .and then cant stop tearing . . i think it was one of the two best esp of this drama .!!

granny was send to the hospital ....bokso's mother rushed back ..everyone was really so worried about granny .

sob*.i teared up when i hear about what bokso's mother was telling mijin about granny's past .at the young age of 18 year old , the war had started so she had to take her little brother with her to vietnam. And took such great pains to raise up the brother .and later ..even when married ..granny was widowed at such a young age ...only 5 years of marriage .and her husband died .. she single handedly bring up her children .. boksoo's mother was crying about how it is so unfair that ..it is now time for granny to enjoy her life and she had to end up in hospital . then what she said later was so touching i cried and cried .because it so true ..what it is like really between mother in law and daughter in law ..two women who dont understand each other at first .and come to live together .? ..you dun have any blood ties between you . neither are yo related in anyway ..you come into a family and they told you to call her as mother ..and so you did .. what kind of fate is you have with each other ? to be able to live together in one family .?

granny has such words of widsom for her daughter ..MyeongHee [ aka junmyeong 's mother ]. she was telling her daughter that MyeongHee had make a mistake that she didnt really learnt the true meaning of being a daughter in law. Granny told her that during the time when you are a daughter in law ..you should be learning how to love others and accept others , you are entering into another family not from your own blood. you learn how to be part of this new family how to .love and accept them .and live with them .

.but myeonghee never learnt all those ..from her mother in law .what she learnt was oppression ..that why she is wrong .

oh and what suhyeon said to junmyeon : she started with asking him that it is hard for him to forget about the wife he had love so much isnt it ...when junmyeong tried to convience her that all this is past .however suhyeon told him that he should do whatever he wants from now on..and not live as only a doctor , as successor to his father 's hospital nor only as a husband ..

find a route which will enable you to be happy .

however junmyeong seem too dishearten and insisted that he had put it behind him .though at a point in time he had lost himself but all he faced was opposition and .bring trouble and hurt to his family .so he not going to do that anymore

finally suhyeon told him ..that she has someone whom she loved ..not junmyeon but someone whom she really loved . and that she is sorry .[ junmyeon was shocked ! ]

she told him now as she loved this man ..she begin to understand what it is like for junmyeong ...to love someone .means following your heart ...* [ist that such a great thing to happen between them .i think both of them need release from this marriage and find their own happiness ]

however when suhyeon went to look for giha .er before she can tell him of her decision which is to be with him ..giha also make up his mind that it is better she return to her family and dun get hurt because of a man like him [ er i think he really does loved her and dont want her to get hurt] however .. suhyeon cant take this though .and angrily told him that this is the end and never come look for her again . .sigh misunderstanding between them .

oh then during this esp there was a funny plot of mijin's mother finding her husband dairy .written in english and making inwu read and translate for her ..lol

esp 50 was a tearjerker for me too!!

granny did went back home but then ...sob * it was her last days ..she passed away in her sleep at night ..WAILS ! and they show how before she goes ..she [or her spirit ] went to pull bokso's parents room ..! and before she goes off in the snow ..bokso's mother in her dreams ...come running out with her shoes .and told granny that she need to wear her shoes before she goes. .it is too cold ..

and she put on the shoes for granny ..!SOB! she wanted to go with granny and send her off but granny only waved her to go back in ..and she keep calling Ommoni ..Ommoni ...as granny walks further away and that when she wake up from her dream .

ohh junmyeong came to visit granny before she died ...ah granny give him such good words of adivce !

and the funeral ...sob ...it was just so emotional for bokso's father too .he was drunk and crying infront of granny's altar ..saying did he did well ? ....and when boksoo come to comfort him ..sob he said now he is without a mother while bokso still has his mother .. .

ah junmyeong 's mother was infront of her mother's altar and suhyeon was there .her mother in law told her that her own mother said that she is wrong because .she didnt learnt the right things when she was a daughter in law . never learning to love or accept but rather only torture and indifference from her own mother in law . hence she is like that to her own daughter in law now ...

she told suhyeon .she knows .she does knows she did wrong by [suhyeon] too

oh anyway i come here to tell you all spoilers of esp 52 [which is the finale ] i didnt get to watch esp 51 though but neverthless ! here is the short summary of what happen

esp 52 [FINALE]

mijin and boknam are both pregnant ^^!! it should be one year later from granny's death. since i think they are preparing for her anniversary . however both women happen to deliver on that same day ...actually it was boknam who had her contractions first ...lol then call home to say she going to the hospital .. her mother was like so in panic and rushing to go to the hospital ...and while they were going out of the door ..er i think mijin told them ..her water broke ..lol! so more panic!!

^^ boknam and inwu has a little baby girl and bokso & mijin has a baby boy ! .both grandpa was so funnie they were exchanging the babies till they get lost of which is which i think !^^ ..anyway both are grandchilden to them lol

junmyeong finally ended up with his exwife again ^ ..and works now at a small hospital ..which i think is making him more happy ! though his mother still keep a stern face but at least she make the move to go visit her son and she did asked if this is really making him happy .and he answered yes ..i dun know er what she say later as she left [ she didnt really looked at her new daughter in law though ] but junmyeon seem happy to see a slight change in his mother [ i dont know if she asked them to go back home for dinner or something ] ..

for suhyeon .she had went to new york .after divorce with junmyeon ..so this finale .you see her working in new york . she has new photographer coming onto her project .and it happen to be kim giha ^^ so i think everything going to go well for them too

i really enjoyed watching this family drama ..no family feud no birth secret but just about how you become a family with others , it takes alot really to be part of another family . .~~ ..it has both entertaining and touching moments ..lol i really laugh alot when i watch this drama ..but feel my heart warmed up too with their touching moments ..

ahhhh yes, i see the resemblance now. looks like she is SIG's mom. hehhehe i like this family drama too, it has nice moments, cut emoments and touching sad ones too... you learn a lot about families. joining families. family history all those things. being in laws can never be easy. seeing them go through it makes you think of it in a different way.

Thanks for the summaries, Shirley! And I completely agree with you, this is really such a nice drama. It has a very simple story about becoming a member of another family, the things you have to go through as you get to know each other. I'm sure a lot of people experience the same thing. Another thing I like about this show, are the characters. All of them seem like real people. Nobody's perfect, each of them have their own eccentricities.

So sad the show has finally ended in Korea.

Right now I'm still in episode 42.

Where Boknam and Inu's secret was discovered. Inu was just so sweet being so uneasy of leaving Boknam in his mother's house while he is at work. Even thinking of bringing Boknam with him to the office. (ofcourse it was his idea that they lie that Boknam is pregrant so they can get their families approval for marrying). And Sugil was really funny about making things hard for Misun so she would send Boknam and Inu back home.

did you all get to watch the entertainment weekly on KBS yesterday ..mama song was on it too .when her son was interviewed and of course they keep asking about his wedding date ..lol it was cute when he say his mother worries abit her role in Daughter in Law ...might be scary character i think he meant to new daughter in law in real life * ..or something like that lol

oh yesterday segment also has the golden era of daughter in law 's cast interview~ ^^ they all seem sad to part with this drama .since they have great time working on it together ...

I guess the reason why Inu was kind of a pervert after the wedding was because he was really trying to get Boknam pregnant so the families wouldn't find out about their lie and he was also scared that if they get discovered the families might force them to separate. But now that everybody knows about their secret, Inu feels he can relax now and wait for Boknam as he promised her.

Sugil and Inu really have a special relationship. Sugil is really thrilled to have Inu as a son-in-law. : D

I also watched the farewell party of Daughters-in-law in Entertainment Relay. Aww, watching the party made it all real to me that the show is ending soon.
