@pixie0622 @adamfever - I think we might be reading too much into it. Maybe "youth" is playing younger characters in terms of age (a la Kim Tan's age or slightly above that) and all the things associated with it. In which case, I can't help but be disappointed. For once, he does not look "youthful". He has wrinkles and facial hair - should embrace those little flaws. And what is so wrong with the twenties? It's awesome :D
Anyway, I'm hoping he grows out of this "youth" fixation. Embrace your age, it's okay.

I want to ask sth. Is it true that LeeMinHo and KimSooHyun will do a CF together? I mean LG cf?
Because they said that LG kept updating picture about both of them like teasing us :(

It appears to me that PROMIZ may function like a foundation that will serve as a central donation platform for Minoz worldwide to benefit a particular or group of charities. Their "better than candies" tagline seems to suggest that instead of fans sending Minho "gifts", fans can now show their love to him by contributing to PMZ. If I am reading this correctly, then this relates to what Minho said in a recent interview about wanting to do more philanthropic efforts. I truly hope this is what it is because it's always admirable for celebrities to use their fame to not only help others but to also show their followers how to help others.

@adamfever @pixie0622 - I hope you two are right, but I don't know, I just feel that he means playing someone younger. Would you be okay if he were to play someone in his late teen or early twenties again? I don't even want to think how I'd react. But Kim Jong-dae could be described as a coming of age story because he'll play someone in his twenties (early?), but since it's a noir, it gives us a darker and rougher vibe with '70s fashion *wutttt*
@adamfever - I think he'll look hot with a stubble, but not like the one in Faith because that one was not real ;)

You know how that Taobao ads are everywhere in China...this news is slightly or not at all related to Minho, but 100% related to Taobao. I know one or two people like reading these kinds of news *hint hint @prosperity and @adamfever (?)*

Alibaba poised to opt for US listing

By Josh Noble and Paul J Davies in Hong Kong and Arash Massoudi in New York

Alibaba is “95 per cent certain” to choose New York over Hong Kong for its initial public offering, expected to be one of the largest in history, according to people close to the process.

The company is no longer “even engaged” with the Hong Kong exchange, according to one person familiar with the matter, while another said a New York listing was now “95 per cent certain”. A third person familiar with the situation said: “I can categorically tell you that Alibaba will not list in Hong Kong."

Alibaba, China’s largest ecommerce company, had initially planned to list in Hong Kong, but fell foul of the city’s listing rules due to its proposal to control appointments to its board.

It publicly abandoned plans to list in Hong Kong last year, suggesting it would look to the US. However, behind the scenes it was still looking at a potential Hong Kong IPO and hoping for a rule change that would accommodate its board structure. The company tried to rekindle talks with the exchange this year using different lawyers, but those talks have come to nothing.

Hong Kong authorities are drawing up a public consultation on whether the city ought to change its rules and allow different control structures through share classes or board arrangements, in order to attract tech companies.

However, the regulator is far from convinced there is any reason to alter its rules, and there are significant voices within both the stock exchange and the Listing Committee – which rules on IPO candidates – against a change.

“The basic issue is: would anyone be advocating a very significant potential change to the way in which shareholder rights are balanced if it were not for the potential competition, particularly from the US?” said one person close to the Hong Kong authorities. “If that [competition] didn’t exist, would anyone take a view that some companies have such special characteristics that they’re treated differently?”

Joe Tsai, Alibaba’s executive vice chairman, told Reuters on Thursday that the company would not ditch its partnership structure to list in Hong Kong, but said he respected the city’s efforts to maintain “the integrity of the market”.

Bankers say Alibaba has a number of reasons not to wait for the results of the consultation process, which could drag on for months. The company has made a string of acquisitions recently, and having a listed entity may help to lower its cost of capital for such activity. It may also be keen to complete the deal at the current valuation, having seen expectations rise rapidly.

Stock prices of Alibaba’s biggest listed shareholders Yahoo and Softbank have risen 65 per cent and 110 per cent, respectively, in the past year, in part due to their stakes in the company.

While estimates of the size of the listing have varied, the most recent valuations placed on Alibaba by private trades in its convertible bonds are in the region of $120bn. Depending on the listing location and the amount raised at IPO, Alibaba’s offering could yet eclipse Visa’s $18bn raising as the largest ever in the US.

Missing out on Alibaba will be a blow for Asian investment bankers, who had been hoping the deal would improve liquidity and sentiment in the Hong Kong market. However, some have expressed doubts over whether the city had the capacity to handle such a large deal.(cr. FT.com
Alibaba, the parent company of Taobao, is going public and it is all but confirmed that it'll be listing on the New York Stock Exchange  (Edit: it's NASDAQ, not NYSE), instead of Hong Kong. The IPO is dubbed by analysts as the most anticipated offering since Facebook's IPO. Two things I didn't know, Yahoo and Softbank are the controlling shareholders  of Alibaba :-O and that it will choose NY over HK which I find interesting.

@‌guadi

True I rather LMH would move on to more mature roles. He does so great , His roles in CH, PT and Faith were all in there late 20s, I guess stepping in to a younger role got him in touch with his kid self.Nothing wrong with being a child at heart, but yes its time to move on to bigger and better things
