^for low response time... wen u go get the monitor it will say something ms... look for a monitor with a response time of 5 ms or LESS

btw how much u plan on spending on it? ._.

we can help u make a "better informed" decision lol XD

i usually look for dotch pitch per inch lower the better so you notice less pixelation , and contrast either 1000:1 - 3000:1, dont really worry about response time if you dont play games most will come with at least 8ms nowadays and 16ms if you have bad luck.

I'm trying to make a decision between these monitors:

19” Samsung 940N-8ms or 940BW-4ms WS DVI - $262 / $285

17” Samsung 740N-8ms for $238

17” Viewsonic VA703B-8ms for $215

17” Benq FP71G+-8ms for $225

all in Australian dollars. Don't know which one to get.. or if there is any difference btw these monitors.

I have the SyncMaster 941BW 19" widescreen monitor. It's been great so far and I have no problems with it.

no ... the screen and all pics, vids etc keep their aspect ratio .. u only have a bit more space on both sides
