great episode! my dad was thrilled that it featured the korean couple. kim yunjin looked especially pretty in this episode. it was cute how she and jin met. but OMG the others were freaky. or... at least it looked lyke it from their dirty legs... lol

The death is coming in the November 9th episode. It's going to be a female and she gets killed by another female. She's not really that important anyway but its sad to see someone die.

Why is it November 9th and not the 26th of October?

i have a feeling it might be shannon. as of now she doesn't seem to have much of a story and to be frank, i find her a bit annoying. as long as they won't kill off sun, i'll be a happy camper. i don't think they would kill off kate b/c she's one of the more important characters.

yeah somehow i think that too. i don't think it's shannon though. she's kinda sorta important. OMG she sees walt again in the next episode!!! i was soooo freaked out when they showed that part in the preview. but it looked lyke she and sayid were getting it on.

The casting directors are doing a little better with finding people who can speak korean. That jackson who was trying to use Sun to get his parents off his back spoke understandable korean. It was funny cause some of the lines that Jin was saying didn't have subtitles, and the non-k peeps I was watching with wanted to know what he said. We had no clue because it was so bad, ha ha. Also the substitles didn't actually match the conversation sometimes. I had to just listen to the Korean instead of relying on the subs.

As for Daniel's Korean, according to him

For the record, Korean is my first language. I came to the US when I was 2. Though I continue to speak Korean with my parents, English quickly became my primary language. There's nothing like being around a bunch of nasty elementary school kids to make you want to assimilate FAST. : ) I still speak Korean, contrary to what I've read about me, but my Korean could use some work in two respects: Number one, I have a Kyungsangdo accent (my entire family's from Busan - for more on that see my previous posts) and as I've gotten older I'm sure an American accent has seeped in there a bit as well. Number 2, because I've only spoken with my parents, my vocabulary is what I would call on the "household" level. So I do have a coach (with whom I speak exclusively Korean) who's been helping me with these things, and Yunjin's been incredibly generous with her help as well. As I said the other day, speaking Korean on camera has been one of the biggest challenges of my career - from learning new vocabulary, to softening my accent, AND at the same time trying to play intentions (you know, that stuff that actors do : ). It's been a lot of work - but totally worth it, for so many reasons.

I guess the korean dialect he speaks very differs from mainstream korean dialect.

Can someone summarize the episode before the Sun/Jin flashback? I didn't get to watch it. I guess in that episode, it explains more about Desmond and the "destroy the world every hour" problem. Hm it'd be great if someone knows where I can download te episode too.

this weeks ep - jin's dressing up and his friend is talking to him about love and "orange." he gets a job as a doorman at a hotel. the owner tells him that he cant let anyone in "like him" (ie - fisherboy, poor wtvr)

-sun is pressured to meet a guy in some sort of blind date. the guy is the son of the hotel owner.

-michael runs off to find walt; mr eko (black dude) & jin go out to find him.

- eko / jin follow the trail, find a body of "the others;" hide in the bushes and they see "the others" walk by. they find michael

-sun finds out the guy is moving to america to marry a girl. she leaves

-jin lets in a scrubby father and his son into the hotel cos kiddo had to use the pisser. boss sees it, gives jin an earful, thus resulting in his resignation.

-jins walking and he passes by a girl dressed in orange, he turns back and then him / sun bump into e/o.

-from beginning to the end of the ep, sun is trying to look for her misplaced wedding ring (which was in the bottle she burried)

I LOVED that line because, seriously, what Korean person hasn't been asked that or something similar to it?

I've lost count of how many times people have asked me if I was North or South Korean.
