KARA‘s Nicole and 2PM‘s Taecyeon are in talks to star in a ‘world version’ of the popular faux-marriage variety program ‘We Got Married‘, according to agencies responsible for both idol groups.

Taecyeon was reported to have been confirmed for ‘We Got Married’ earlier on with the news about thepotential leave of Lee Joon-Oh Yeon Seo couple. Although, JYP Entertainment had later denied the news, they have revealed that the idol is actually in consideration for not the regular show, but the ‘world version’.

JYP Entertainment and DSP Media both confirmed that the two idols had received offers from MBC.“We received casting proposals for a world version of ‘We Got Married,” JYP Entertainment said. “But his casting has not been confirmed. We are in discussions with the producers.”

DSP also confirmed the talks, saying, “Although it’s true that she has been considered for a ‘We Got Married’ world version, nothing has been confirmed. We are discussing it with the producers,” they said, echoing JYP Entertainment’s announcement. “It seems like there will be a cast announcement soon.”

The ‘world version’ of the show has been in talks since last year, and once completed, will be broadcast in 41 countries and will include two couples who are from different cultural backgrounds, with one member of the couple from Korea and the other member being someone from overseas.

KARA‘s Hara has been revealed to be in the hospital to undergo surgery for appendicitis.

Just recently, around 10 AM KST, Hara received the diagnosis at the hospital and was said to be preparing to undergo surgery.

According to her agency representatives, Hara started to suffer from abdominal pains and was brought to the emergency room at the hospital.

“It is true that Hara will be getting surgery for appendicitis. We hope that the surgery will go well… Afterwards she will be getting rest to recover her health,” the rep stated.

Since KARA has schedules tomorrow (February 1st) in Japan, it is not known if Hara will be able to attend. For the time being, it is said that she’ll be taking rest before she takes on her personal schedules.

We wish Hara a full and speedy recovery.

Things happen fast. I look at thread and it appears Hara has been diagnosed and operated at once. That's good. Time is crucial. Luckily appendicitis is one of the easiest operations there are, though there is a certain risk every time when insides of human body are opened. Let's wish the complications are minimal.

KARA‘s Seungyeon has been cast in her first ever historical genre drama!

She will be joining Yoo Ah In, Kim Tae Hee, among others on ‘Jang Ok Jung, Living in Love‘. Her character is from a poor background, but she becomes one of the several wives of the king and succeeds in having her son inherit the throne. She will be vying for Yoo Ah In’s love against Kim Tae Hee.

Even though Seungyeon is extremely busy traveling to and from Japan, she is said to have prepared diligently. Her label DSP Media said, “Seungyeon has been dreaming about acting. She looked carefully and sincerely over ‘Jang Ok Jung, Living in Love’. She has made cameos before and starred in Japanese dramas before, but this is her first time acting in a historical genre drama. She’s working hard and preparing her best.”

The drama will air in April.
