*** TODAY, August 24, “Good Job” held an online press conference. Jung Il Woo, Yuri, Eum Moon Suk, and Song Sang Eun attended the event. During the press conference, Jung Il Woo shared his feelings about co-starring once more with Yuri. He said that when he heard the news that Yuri will be his co-star, he was excited. The drama is drawing attention as the follow-up to another ENA’s hit drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo". When asked if there was any pressure coming from this, he replied that he also enjoyed watching the drama. It would be a lie if he says there is no pressure, but he's doing his best and focusing on the script. “Good Job” premiered TODAY, August 24 at 9 p.m. KST, taking over the time slot previously occupied by “Extraordinary Attorney Woo.” The drama will also be available with subtitles on Viki.   :twerk2:

*** According to Nielsen Korea, yesterday August 24 premiere of ENA’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “Good Job” garnered an average nationwide rating of 2.322 percent. This is an increase in ratings from the score initially achieved by the first episode of its predecessor  “Extraordinary Attorney Woo.” I enjoyed the episode 1 of "Good Job." It was awesome! Knowing that it's only going to be 12 episodes, I think the drama has so much potential. Sigh.....only that

it was not on Netflix.   :popcornjackson:

Kwon Yuri, Jung Il-woo wish to continue their proven synergy in ‘Good Job’

Taking off hanbok, ‘Bossam: Steal the Fate’ couple is reunited for a joint investigation

It is rare for two actors to star alongside each other for two consecutive drama series. The concern is that the viewers may be reminded too much of the characters from the previous project.

But this did not seem to worry “Good Job” actors Kwon Yuri and Jung Il-woo.

“I have never worked with the same co-star in two drama series, one after another. I think we are destined to be together,” Kwon, actor and member of K-pop girl group Girl’s Generation, said in an online press conference Tuesday.

“I noticed some fans have already named us ‘rebirth couple.’ We hope to bring great chemistry in ‘Good Job’ and excite the fans with fascinating stories,” the actor added, mentioning that her relationship with Jung dates back to the Joseon era in her previous TV series “Bossam: Steal the Fate.”

“Bossam: Steal the Fate” is cable channel MBN’s 20-part period drama, which recorded the channel’s highest viewership.

The previous series and characters were loved by many drama fans and Jung was confident about the upcoming romance drama.

“When I watched Yuri shooting her scenes in ‘Good Job,’ I recognized so much of her talent had been suppressed by the calm, quiet character in ‘Bossam: Steal the Fate.’ I am certain that the viewers will be mesmerized by her lovely charm,” Jung said.

Television channel ENA’s new romance series “Good Job” revolves around chaebol CEO Eun Sun-woo (played by Jung), who disguises himself as a detective to investigate a mysterious incident. The story develops as Sun-woo meets a seemingly ordinary woman Don Se-ra (played by Kwon), who does extraordinary things with her supernatural eyesight, and the two work together.

Kwon shared that she fell in love with the character Se-ra which led her to join the series.

“With the unique superpower, it felt like I had become a character in a superhero movie. Se-ra is a strong, energetic person, who leads the investigation. Our drama will entertain the viewers with dynamic action, heart-racing romance and superpowers,” the actor said.

Asked whether he felt pressured to continue the popularity achieved by the recently concluded global hit “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” Jung said he was grateful.

“I was a big fan of Woo Young-woo as well. The series played a huge role in leaving a great impression about the young channel ENA. I think we will benefit from ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo,’” Jung said.

“I would be lying if I said I don’t feel any pressure. But the staff and the actors are doing their best to bring a great project to the viewers,” the actor added.

“Good Job” airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9 p.m. on ENA and is also available on streaming platform Seezn.

The 12-part series premiered on Wednesday.

*** Still cuts from 'Good Job'. Here, Jung Il Woo was seen at a club in vintage clothes and glasses, which greatly contrasted with the flashy outfits worn by people surrounding him. While Yuri was seen wearing an elegant pink dress, drawing attention with her outstanding beauty.   :Fist1:

bring on the cliche

At this point, I’m not too sure I genuinely care whether Good Job is gonna be a hit drama if it is going to dish out all the Woori goodies we didn’t get in Bossam. I guess Se Ra hurts herself or over-uses her supernatural eyesight, and ends up in hospital. Cue our dear chaebol detective feeding her with reluctant care.
