@danielassny My other bias is also Park Hyung Sik. Coincident again? Truth is, I started liking these 3 actors - KNG, LJK and PHS for the same reason - because of their sageuk roles. I became a fan of LJK because of "Scholar" but Moon Lovers made me a bigger fan. KNG caught my interest as Bidam but then I forgotten about him because of his long absence in dramaland until LUTYN. And PHS stole my heart in Hwarang. I also realized that these 3 actors looked so darn gorgeous in long hair, playing warriors and tortured royal soul. So, there you have it. I have a thing for suffering royal, long hair and good martial art skills and especially if he is draped in all blacks. 

 

And yes, I am also crushing on Lee Sun Gyun now, all because of "My Ahjusshi".

 

Same like some of you here, I always feel jealous reading about KNG with SYJ because I ship him with KAJ. Despite the rumours with Jang Na Ra and Seo Hyun Jin, I don't feel threatened by it since there was never any physical evidence unlike with SYJ, where he seems to be "open" with the affection. Anyway, wonder what happened to them now?

Ah because I saw that old video of him and Soo Ae during an event. I was curious on why was he escorting her when they didn't even work together and wasn't nominated together... I've never even heard that they were friends at that time. Some people walked alone because they do not have a partner or nominated with anyone but, Soo Ae and KNG walked together and KNG was acting so different during that time, he was like a real man (lol) not a childlike or goofy KNG while escorting her, talking to her non-stop.

Then later on after he was released in military, he was the one who sang the ost for her drama. Later on, I learned that he was actually friend with Joo Ji Hoon (he was one of Soo Ae's leading man in that drama as well) so I thought they became friends through Soo Ae. Soo Ae's love life was also very private, not even a rumor. He was also rumored with one of SNSD member at that time and there was an article that says that his face darkened a bit when asked about the rumor as if he was hiding something (so I thought maybe he didn't want Soo Ae to get jealous or something) haha - a jealous wife's imagination can be scary lol

@universeduck calmed me at that time but I must admit there still a bit of jealousy and suspiciousness in my heart hehe.

 

I wasn't that jealous of SYJ... probably because I've always doubt that dating rumor about them... exactly because it seems too open, considering you almost never heard anything about their private life. And KNG once said in an interview that he became depressed during the time that he was doing the drama "Shark" (with SYJ) and was also in doubts during filming of the Pirates, thinking if being an actor is the right path for him. He only started to like acting again when he made the movie, The Shameless.

So I thought if he was in love at that time, wouldn't that help him enjoy acting? especially if he was acting with the one he was in love with? But of course there is a chance that they may have dated, though we never heard anything about them again after they worked together so who knows.

 

I am also a bit jealous of Seo Hyun Jin lol although there was never a photo of them together or evidence, I wonder if there will ever be a photo of her that can be connected to KNG (example, same place or friends)

 

Although Jang Nara and him seems to be a little bit hard to imagine together, I wouldn't mind if it was her because I like her too.

 

I also like LJK because of Moon Lovers Scarlet Heart Ryeo - his character reminds me a lot of Bidam though I am not the only one who thinks like that. I like him till now because he seems sweet and kind.

For some reason, most actors looks much better in historical dramas. Their hotness seems to be out-of-this-world with historical costumes.

Hahaha You are right. I think that's what made him look very manly because he seems to be so nature just like a handsome neighbor and not a celebrity.

His face was square-ish on QSD and others ca. 2009-2010 and now it gets a bit oval. But sometimes it got square-ish again LOL, seems like it's on off square-ish, and I really hope it happened because his weight loss and aging, not involved in any PS.

I am confident there's no PS done. Lol

 

He ever had dating rumours with Jang Nara and Son Ye Jin back in 2013. The one with JNR was was quick to dissolve since he was actually visiting the set of her drama "School 2013" because KNG was part of the earlier "school series" and the food truck was actually sent for her co-star Choi Daniel. 

 

As for SYJ, they played lovers in "Shark" and they were extremely chummy together. You can see from the BTS of Shark where she rested her head on his chest and lying on his lap. Not to mention he even made a public shout out ("SYJ is the best") during the screening of her movie "Blood and Ties", also calling her out during his Japan FM interview. They both denied the dating rumours but you never know.

I remember seeing that Interview when he was in Japan and I thought "if he mentioned SYJ's name then it means he like her" lol and he did so I thought but who knows lol.

But actually Namgil was oozing with such sexiness & manliness during all that time ~~ he was so kingly attitudinal with Yoo-won as well during their ceremony~~ O HOW i LOve how he is liking her or in other words that she is his type as he once confesses as i like her ..

 

 

 

If talking about whom the least actress i gotta be jealous of among all names u mentioned that would be Na-ra  as well~ i like her soo.... See-Ae would come after her if we would be considering her, as i like her less but she is a noticeable actress at the same time so i will give her some credits, hee .....So Seo Hyun Jin and Seo Hyun Jin still the both would maintain position no1 of my jealousy haha... although i agree with you that in regard of Hyun Jin i havnt had that strong feel of falling in love from the side of Namgil but from her side i was soo suspicious , especially when knew that she was the one who nominated him for the Pirates movie, so she always gets me jealous making me cant help but think she would steal him haha

Yeah I still have some jealousy left for Soo Ae though I think even if they dated, they probably broke up already haha.

 

I am a fan of Bideok from QSD but yeah LYW is happily married and already a mother so she's out of question.

 

I also thought that he had something with him and Jang Nara but nothing comes after that rumor... I wouldn't mind it though lol.

 

As of now only 3 girls are on my list ah there was another one...the nurse from LUTYN I read there were also fans who thought the same but lol maybe we were just being overly jealous that time.

 

Yeah KNG was really hot during his QSD days... I hope he will do another action historical drama.

3 girls? One of them is the actress playing the Hyeminseo nurse, how about the other two? 

 

I know some speculated about the Hyeminseo nurse because she sat next to the tipsy KNG during the after party of LUTYN at the bar. But that was the only interaction I ever saw between them. So, I have no suspicion on her. But I do find her seems to be crushing on KNG. During the scene of the family photo (episode 16) where Heo Im initially taking his position next to her, she could be seen smiling at him with stars in her eyes. LOL. But KNG is so handsome, so it's not surprising if anyone easily crushing on him. He even look hot in track suits. Lol.

Talking about women in his life, I initially ship KNG with KAJ and still low-key ship them. But after I watched My Ahjusshi, I realized that good actors can really project chemistry even when no real feelings involved. Just to quote an example.... The chemistry between IU and Lee Seon Gyun is phenomenal, dare to say even surpassing her chemistry with other actors she had worked with including Lee Jun Ki in Moon Lovers. Even without a single touching between their characters that as viewer, many could feel the attraction vibe and sexual tension when they are in a scene together until so many wanting romance to happen for them (though the writer specifically mention its not a romance drama). Ofc, its impossible for them to have genuine feelings towards each other since LSG is 18years older and happily married and a father of two children but they made the feelings so believable, so real because they are good actors esp LSG. 

 

So, after deliberating, I think I could have gone so carried away with the explosive chemistry he had with KAJ or may be because he never had that kind of chemistry with any of his previous on screen love interests. Ofc, i still hope i wasn't deluded and the feelings is real. Lol

 

Either way, I hope he will find that someone. Be it a celebrity or not. 

 

I wonder what's he is doing now. He is on pokemon mode again obviously.

Yeah me too was enjoying so so much to see him with KAJ on and off-screen they indeed had one of the most extraordinary chemistry i've ever seen... but at the same time i never had high expectations for them bcoz i know what u said in the first place, that Namgil is that Great veteran actor who could easily bring that kind of high feelings, deep warm emotions without real feelings involved.... the same for KAJ  Btw, she is a perfect versed actress.. Though she had me kinda suspicious at sometimes BTS by her caress-treating for him unlike her with any of her previous co-stars (she was with Kim rae won in punch and she is as if another KAJ with Namgil hee), Although i find Namgil always that cheerful, close and friendly -with sometimes mischievous to all whom he worked with

 

Why Hyeminseo nurse?? i hadn't hear about that speculated of her had some feelings for him?

Hahaha yeah they sat together too during the farewell picture(?) the picture where all of the cast was in after the last shooting day, in all of the pictures she was sitting next to him but KAJ was nowhere to be found and someone said that there was a scene from BTS where KNG was staring at her with starry eyes lol.

Haha I know. If I hadn't know that she was married before watching QSD, I would've shipped them too.I like their interaction too because they seem like playmates together. I know that there were fans who actually shipped LYW and KNG back then because they didn't know that LYW was already married and got surprised when they found out that she was. And KNG saying a lot of things about her just made them ship them more lol I was just really amazed with LYW's husband at that time because KNG can be really playful with his words.

 

I am a fan of LYW too btw and watched her other works.

 

There were couples that I liked but don't really ship them in real life but I can't still watch them with someone else. HJW and JCW for example, though I don't ship them.. I couldn't watch them with someone else.

 

I will watch My Mister after finishing EOG. I am afraid it will make me cry in the end wah...
