I just joined this forum, when I saw that it had a page for fan ofLee Joon Gi, I ran to  
Small precision, I'm French, and not good in English AT ALL, so excuse my faults ^^ '
Basically, I'm not a fan of drama at all, I saw a few when I was younger but that's it.
This summer during the holidays I was bored, and I came across MLSHR.
Ahem.

My god it was TOO WELL.
At first, I was like: oh again something cliché for teenage girls, and this guy there ridiculous with his mask, it's too pitiful, plus he does not even look handsome.

Lee Joon Gi. My God. No words. I fell in love. I just fell in love.

Since I spend my life looking at pictures of him (like now and that's how I discovered this forum, at 5 am here -> insomnia = JG photo), looking if he published something on IG (damn he is so annoying to play dead for days ARGH).
I have already finished MLSHR (3 times and it's not over AHAHAH), Criminal Minds, Scholar who walks the night, and I'm half of Joseon Shooter.

I hope this page will help me keep up to date on JG info (because in France it's void)

Okay, I’ll go first then. I started to watch K dramas again in late 2014, December to be exact. Unfortunately it took me TWO years to discover JG. I came across My Girlfriend is a Gumiho and then went on to watch OMV. Then, I watched Arang for SMA. I wasn’t a big fan of saeguk but I thought I’d give it a try because when I searched about it, it had good ratings and nice reviews. (Yes, I was naïve enough to believe that ratings represented the quality of the drama. I thought good ratings = good drama.) And there was so much hype about this being the comeback drama of some dude called “Lee Joon Gi” and I couldn’t care less about this fact.

 

Let’s just say that I was pleasantly surprised when I first saw him on screen. I was like, “Hmm… he’s pretty, I guess”.  Then came the action scenes; I wasn’t very impressed with what I saw in K dramas so far so I didn’t expect much in this one either. And I couldn’t be more wrong! His action scenes were so graceful and enchanting, I was completely caught off guard. And then the acting: be it emotional scenes or comedy, he was perfect in them.  I knew this guy was extra special.

 

As usual I searched for the BTS of the drama and I just couldn’t believe that this was the same guy who acted as the serious Satto. He was so funny and bubbly and charming unlike any other actor I’ve seen. I wanted to see more of him. So I searched about him. There was this info saying that he had very successful dramas in the past and from 2013 onward his projects “flopped”. Yes, it said flops! So I thought I’d watch those successful dramas because obviously they had to be good to have good ratings, right? It must be noted that I don’t prefer to watch old dramas because the video quality is usually crappy and they had questionable fashion style. But I watched Iljimae and TBDAW and The King and the Clown (and now I’m going to watch My Girl!). I wanted MORE!

 

I decided to watch his work in the chronological order. Then I saw some clips of MLSHR on YouTube in March, 2017. I was itching to watch it so badly, I didn’t care about the order. When I checked for the review it was not good at all; the rating was even worse. But I didn’t care; I just wanted to watch it. So I watched it; I became a JG junkie.

As we say in here....WANG SO is LOVE.  The power of Wang So (JG) to bring together many people!  Welcome @agathe !!  Feel free to post and fangirl!! Have you seen the MLSHR  thread?  It's lengthy. It doesn't have much activity lately but it was one of the most accessed threads in the Soompi forums. A few of us are rewatching that drama right now and commenting in there.

I was the newbie until @agathe arrive (welcome on board, btw    ).

I fall in love with JG between 29/30 th december 2016, quite about 1 year ago. 
 

I start watching drama at the end of september of last year, but I begin with Japan drama. It was only at the end of november/beginning of december that I discover korean drama and MLSHR was the second drama that I watch. So, it's true that I didn't have a lot of terms of comparison , but it takes me 2 episode to understand that Joon Gi was a damn good actor and 1 more episode for fall for him   ... exatcly between ep 3 and 4... by the moment that I arrived at ep 8 I was completely lost and I ended MLSHR I think in 3 days.

 

I remember very clearly that I ended to went to bed at 5am for 3 consecutive days and that my eyes were about so ... but I was sooooooo happy and completely lost for JG charm  

The rest is history: I begin to search and collect everything possibile about him, and when I found out that he was going to do a FM in Seoul the same time I was supposed to be in Japan, well... you all know well what I did 

But I admit that I still have a lot of his drama to watch... I'm that kind of person that don't like to watch all in the same time... I prefer to discover all his character little by little. I just finished Two Weeks and I think I'll begin Arang, because all of your posts about Satto intrigued me a lot
