Korean actress Park Shin-hye. [s.A.L.T Entertainment]

Korean actress Park Shin-hye is turning into a queen of the middle age of Korea.

Park has confirmed to star in new film, whose title is translated into “King’s Costume-making Office,” set to crank in next February, her agency S.A.L.T Entertainment said on Thursday.

Set in the real governmental office in the Joseon Dynasty, the period-set movie will center around the Queen and the King (Yoo Yeon-seok), who became embroiled in huge affair due to loyal courtier Dol-seok (Han Seok-gyu) and costume-making genius Gong-jin (Ko Soo).

“We have set the movie as Park’s next project thanks to the interesting scenario about costumes in the Joseon Dynasty and Park’s attractive character,” an official with S.A.L.T Entertainment explained.

This year, Park starred in box office smash “Miracle in Cell No. 7,” tvN’s romantic comedy series “Flower Boy Next Door” and most recently, SBS’s much-beloved teenage romcom “The Inheritors.”

Park Sin-hye Scales Acting Career High with New Series

Actress Park Sin-hye enjoyed great success last year with the film "Miracle in Cell No.7" and the SBS drama "The Heirs".

However, while she was no doubt celebrating off-camera as her long career was buffeted by a second wind, she spent a lot of time pouring her eyes out onscreen in her role as a girl from a poor family in the popular TV soap.

Park has shed her fair share of tears in previous TV dramas, but "The Heirs" was particularly tough as her character tried to take care of her deaf mother as well as dealing with the heartache of a love that was never meant to be.

The hectic shooting schedule and the challenges that her role threw at her were helped by the camaraderie she shared with her acting peers like Lee Min-ho, Kim Woo-bin, Kim Ji-won-I and Hyung Sik, she said.

They soon became a close-knit group of friends, often sharing pictures and videos and giving each other advice as their respective characters developed on the show. 

At the end of 2013, Park celebrated the 10th anniversary of her acting debut in the SBS drama "Stairway to Heaven". She said she was thrilled at the promising start to the second decade of her career and that she hoped "this dream can have a happy ending".

"I also hope I can dream of new things at the end of it", she added. "Last year really helped build up my confidence, so I think that even if road ahead is tough and I stumble along the way, I'll still be able to smile and lift myself up".

I feel like this ahjussi (red arrow) looks familiar to me....and after digging my Shin Hye's  old video collection my feeling is right the actor worked together with Shin Hye in KBS Drama Special in 2004 (Shin Hye 14 yo at that time). The title of the drama is "If Wait for the Next Train".
Someone mention before, that probably Shin Hye have worked together with almost half or at least one third of actor/actress who attend SBS Awards 2013 hehehe , whether they worked in the drama, movie, music or commercial.

@Agie great observation. thank you for your insight. by any chance, would you know where i can watch this drama with english subtitles, chingu? LOL!i never realized how time flies by so swiftly.  from 10 years ago, everything remains vivid in my memory. when a cute young lady debuted in a drama Stairway to Heaven and acted her part so convincingly.  i couldn't help but become a fan of that 'young girl' and searched all over the internet for any info about "Park Shin hye," which presented very few results nobody had the answers to questions about that little girl Park Shin hye, i guess, her english fans were just starting to build up back then. but Park Shin hye sure has come a long way. look at her now. just by googling her name, the engines are overflowing with info and beautiful pictures of her as well as news and awards under her belt. how fortunate she is, to have worked with veteran actors/actresses in the industry while she was growing up as an actress. she surely had a great 10 year run, and here's hoping to more success in the next 50 or so years for her

I have to admitted that I prefer the chemistry between LMH and PSH in The Heirs, buuuuut I can not deny either there was spark between PSH and KWB hehehe...I am trying to be fair here

 

And I think KWB has been interviewed at the same place as Shin Hye, but I still can not found KWB link interviewed...
