Honestly I know not that much. It's all based on an animation series,  the main theme is love between spirits and humans. That series has several  "chapters" (arcs),  each with its own story, but somehow connected with the "main" storyline.

So, 3 chapters were chosen for drama adaptation, thus we will have 3 dramas. Not sure if they are somehow connected plotwise though.

So far I think maybe it is organized like "Three Lives Three Worlds" -different stories within one "universe".

Another First for Deng Wei.

 

The first special episode of Deng Wei's "Love Of The Divine Tree" ranked First in the Average Interactive Popularity during the iQiyi Investment Conference on 23 April 2024.

 

Number One out of 100 !  

 

There are so many good works out there.  Quite a number are from Veteran Actors and Actresses.

 

So this is indeed another Stupendous Achievement by Deng Wei.  A credit to his Name.  I am very happy for him.

 

In fact, "Love Of The Divine Tree", received special attention at iQiyi Investment Conference.

 

Gong Yu (Founder, CEO), Wang Xiao Hui (Chief Content Officer), Yang Bei (Vice President) and Yu Fei (Head of Qi Zheng Studio), came out to introduce it.

 

 

 

 

 

There are rumours saying that "Love Of The Divine Tree" will premiere in Summer 2025.  Oh no!  That is too long a wait right? I hope it can premiere this year.   

 

I hope Deng Wei will tread carefully and maintain this momentum all the way.

 

Because, a Vicious Attack on him, has already been set in motion.  These new attacks chose to question his Sexual Orientation.  Today, they are sprouting up in most of the entertainment articles and blogs.  I am sure it is hitting Weibo now.  Even Xiang Han Zhi is not spared.  They attack her American-Chinese status.

 

These people will do anything to protect their own turfs and stars.

Laughter made me rich. After watching the second film "Love Of The Divine Tree", it was all about the face of the nymphomaniac Deng Wei.

 

Other dramas have various plots and special effects lineups.  But "Love Of The Divine Tree" only needs one - Deng Wei.

After the release of the First Special Episode entitled "Dream Of Xian Tai", there is no need to worry about the popularity of the data. it topped many charts.

 

 

 

I am sure you all want to know when this drama will premiere.  At the iQiyi World Conference,  "Love Of The Divine Tree" investment promotion page marked Q1 2025. Isn’t this too hard to wait for?

 

It is estimated that it will be between January and March 2025 at the latest.  

 

So that means there is still a possibility for it to premiere earlier.  I am betting on the Last Quarter of 2024.

nooooo...I hope it comes this year...

However it's possible that post-production realistically takes that long for the drama. We've seen it many times already.

At this point, I just hope they will get all the necessary licenses without any need for major cuts, and do a good job promoting the drama.

@leo2020  China entertainment industry should change the way they do things.  If I have my way, it should be:

1) 4  months to do the Post-Productions: CGI, etc....  

2) 5th month: Apply for Distribution License.  And complete the Broadcasting & Marketing Schedule.

3) 5th - 6th month: Broadcast

 

4) Do a 2-Way Limit to the No of Episodes:

Short Series to Cap at :  48 episodes        A Lower Price applied for the Approval.

Longer Series to Cap at : 75 episodes       A Higher Approval Price.

 

This will eliminate the Unecessary Cuts which will destroy the Story.

The Producer can choose to do a Short or Longer Series.  And the Government Authorities have the extra revenue.  

 

Win-Win-Win Situation.

1st Win  : Government Authority

2nd Win: Producer

3rd Win: Audience

 

What do you think?

 

Because too long a wait, will affect the Hype and Enthusiasm for the Artiste and Drama.  It is not fair after all the Hard Work they have done.

I am sure if they have any real pre-release schedule,  smth like your proposal or any other definite one, it would make things much more efficient. However it's my understanding it's very hard to predict how things would go with the authorities. We practically do not know anything about the "approval" process and for example rarely learn why the cuts are done, etc.

Also what absolutely hate is the practically unpredictable broadcast schedule. They could announce they go life and drop the show on air on the next day. If we learn some news re the presumable premiere date beforehand it's always like a rumor (even if it turns out to be true). I already learned some signes the show is definitely going on air, like music video release. But even than there may be no official premiere date. It's soooo annoying, really.

Well, you are correct. I wonder if people are still waiting for Lost you Forever S2 just as they were waiting right after S1 ended. And it's already end of April- we have no official info... 

I'm not sure that the platform will broadcast Love Of The Divine Tree before LYF S2.
