JTBC’s “Miss Night and Day” has unveiled a new behind-the-scenes video!

 

“Miss Night and Day” is a romantic comedy starring Apink’s Jeong Eun Ji as young job seeker Lee Mi Jin, who suddenly finds herself trapped in the body of a 50-year-old woman Im Soon (Lee Jung Eun), and Choi Jin Hyuk as skilled prosecutor Gye Ji Woong, who becomes entangled with her. The drama is helmed by director Lee Hyeong Min of the hit series “I’m Sorry, I Love You” and “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.”

 

The behind-the-scenes video reveals how Lee Jung Eun and Jeong Eun Ji meticulously practiced to portray two bodies sharing one character. In one recent scene from the drama, Im Soon endeavors to win a wish coupon at a company dinner by performing Apink’s song “Mr. Chu.” To ensure coordination, Jeong Eun Ji meticulously coaches Lee Jung Eun for their upcoming dance scene, earning applause from the crew throughout their rehearsal.

 

The two actresses’ teamwork also shines in a scene where Im Soon collapses into Go Won’s (Baek Seo Hoo) arms at sunset before transforming into Lee Mi Jin. Lee Jung Eun and Jeong Eun Ji discuss their movements to maintain seamless continuity during the camera transition from Im Soon to Lee Mi Jin, creating a flawless and believable transition.

 

Later, Jeong Eun Ji and Choi Jin Hyuk film their characters’ first kiss scene after a playful rehearsal full of laughter.

Yes they are cute. I would like to call Lim Sun, young at heart. But sorry to say I need to snap back into the kdrama reality. Shipping an ahjumma and idol will not work.   Still I have to wonder why they are showing many suggestive scenes of them together as if they could be a couple??

In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, Joo Byung Duk (Yoon Byung Hee) falls into a panic after seeing Baek Seo Hoo and Im Soon affectionately eating together in the cafeteria at work. Suspicious of their relationship, Joo Byung Duk watches the duo from afar as they chat and smile at one another.

Apink’s Eunji is all set to sing an OST track for the K-drama Miss Night and Day where she plays the lead role.

Apink’s Eunji has been confirmed to sing the Part 5 OST titled Stay for the ongoing K-drama Miss Night and Day. The artist is playing the lead character in the K-drama, which premiered on June 15, 2024. The plot of the show follows a woman who suddenly happens to switch her body at night to a middle-aged woman from a girl in her 20s.

Apink's Eunji is set to sing OST track for Miss Night and Day

On July 13, 2024, the production team of the K-drama announced that Apink’s Eunji will be singing one of the OSTs. Titled Stay, the song is described as expressing the strong feelings between the lead couple. Lee Mi Jin wishes to stay by Gye Ji Ung’s side, despite having secrets of her own that she is unable to reveal. The track is scheduled to be released on July 13 at 6 PM KST.

 

Apart from Lee Jung Eun and Jeong Eun Ji, the cast ensemble of the series also includes Choi Jin Hyuk, Baek Seo Hoo, Yoon Byung Hee, and more. Directed by Lee Hyeong Min, who has previously also created shows like I’m Sorry, I Love You, and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, it is expected that the upcoming show will also have an amazing storyline with strong characters. 

 

The plot of Miss Night and Day follows a young woman, Lee Min Jin, in her 20s who is a diligent aspiring civil servant and has been appearing for exams for a long time. However, she lands no job even after trying for a long time. In contrast, Im Sol earns herself a good job with the experiences gathered by Lee Min Jin’s various part-time gigs throughout the years. The show is scheduled to be released on June 15, 2024, on the JTBC network.

Out of 16 episodes, 8 have already been released and it has been garnering steady ratings from the audience. The K-drama recorded an average nationwide rating of 8.4 percent in the last episode, and it is expected to increase with each release.

JTBC's Miss Night and Day scored a nationwide rating of 7.47% for episode 9, slipping from episode 8's rating of 8.39%, a usual Saturday drop. But it recorded an impressive improvement from its previous Saturday episode's viewership of 5.71%. The K-drama also remained the most-watched in its time slot. 

However, Miss Night and Day's Netflix ranking on the Global Top 10 list (non-English) dropped to seventh place (July 1-7) from fourth place (June 24-30). The K-drama remains popular predominantly in Asia.
