MBC gives a glimpse into the life of the widow Cho Yeo Hwa (Lee Ha Nee) in the new teaser of Knight Flower

Knight Flower follows the story of Cho Yeo Hwa (Lee Ha Nee), a widow leading a double life, who gets entangled with Park Su Ho (Lee Jong Won), a hard-working senior officer known for his intelligence and martial arts skills.

The teaser shows Cho Yeo Hwa neatly dressed in a modest Hanbok during the day, busy with house chores. However, when night falls, she puts on a mask and leaps over her house wall to help the desperate. This juxtaposition in the trailer beautifully contrasts the tranquil life of a widow with the daring adventures of a masked warrior.

Following numerous confrontations with various opponents, Cho Yeo Hwa crosses paths with Park Su Ho and decides to join hands with him.

A collaboration forms between Cho Yeo Hwa, who strives to live life to the fullest, and Park Su Ho, who searches for the truth of an incident.

The scene in which Cho Yeo Hwa effortlessly takes down suspicious men gives a glimpse of her combat skills. She is also shown dancing in high spirits, which indicates that she is a cheerful woman with a positive outlook towards life.

The teaser vividly portrays Yeo Hwa's adventurous life.

Knight Flower is scheduled to premiere on January 12. Watch the teaser below

Honey Lee balances her double identities in Knight Flower

by solstices

Another teaser is out for MBC’s comedy-sageuk Knight Flower, taking us along on our moonlighting heroine’s nighttime adventures. When night falls, without fail, she dons her secret identity to sneak beyond the boundaries that trap her in.

Comedy extraordinaire Honey Lee (One the Woman) stars as our unconventional heroine Jo Yeo-hwa, who chafes against the smothering rule that a widow must not venture past her household walls. Although it’s been over a decade since her husband passed away, Yeo-hwa must play the part of a dutiful daughter-in-law, attending to domestic duties and drumming up a tune on freshly-laundered fabrics.

Under the cover of the darkness, though, she’s freed from her shackles. Soaring across the sky, backlit by the luminescent moonlight, the masked Yeo-hwa is swift as a breeze. Not only does she scale walls and sprint across rooftops with ease, but she also takes down a room of men without breaking a sweat. (Ha, I love that she uses her enemies as makeshift drums too.)

The only person able to hold his own against Yeo-hwa is our hero Park Su-ho — played by Lee Jong-won (The Golden Spoon) — who smoothly spins her around before she can land a hit on him. It seems Yeo-hwa manages to slip away, but the tenacious Su-ho gives chase on horseback. Su-ho isn’t one to give up easily, and his pursuit of Yeo-hwa soon leads him to uncover her shocking secret.

As the antithesis to Su-ho’s rule-abiding rigidity, Yeo-hwa’s courage in risking her life to fight every night upends the foundations of our cautious officer’s life. Intrigued by her daring escapades, Su-ho soon finds himself inexplicably drawn to Yeo-hwa — the flower that blooms in the night.

Helmed by the PD trio of Jang Tae-yoo (Lovers of the Red Sky), Choi Jung-in (On the Verge of Insanity), and Lee Chang-woo, with scripts co-written by Lee Saem and Jung Myung-in, Knight Flower is slated to premiere on January 12.

Honey Lee moonlights as the masked heroine in Knight Flower

by lovepark

MBC’s upcoming sageuk-comedy Knight Flower has dropped another teaser of its moonlighting masked heroine played by the charming and funny Honey Lee (One the Woman). During the day, our heroine pretends to be a dutiful widow, but as soon as night falls, she springs into action.

While a woman screams for help, Jo Yeo-hwa (Honey Lee) takes out her sword to accomplish what must be done. Dressed in all black, our crime-fighting heroine takes down a room full of enemies, but things take a turn (quite literally) when she spins in the arms of officer Park Su-ho, played by Lee Jong-won (The Golden Spoon).

Her safely guarded double life is now at risk, and it appears that Su-ho is out to expose her secret. As Yeo-hwa escapes with a little girl, she chucks her shoe at Su-ho and orders him to stop following her. Our strait-laced officer, though, believes that rules exist for a reason and will stop at nothing to catch her.

The chase begins between our two leads, and Yeo-hwa haughtily claims that she won’t be caught so easily. However, the moment she lays eyes on Su-ho’s abs, her tune changes, and Yeo-hwa fans herself to no avail.

Though Yeo-hwa’s servants warn her against these nighttime escapades, she continues jumping over walls and almost gets caught by her father-in-law Kim Sang-joong (The Banker). Despite the dangers, Yeo-hwa seems intent on maintaining this ruse as she dons a mustache and vows to show how threatening she can be. Of course, life doesn’t always go as planned, and from the way Yeo-hwa carries a punctured bag, wipes ink on her face, and tumbles on the ground, she appears equal parts badass and clumsy.

Directed by PDs Jang Tae-yoo (Lovers of the Red Sky), Choi Jung-in (On the Verge of Insanity), and Lee Chang-woo, with scripts written by Lee Saem and Jung Myung-in, MBC’s Knight Flower is slated for twelve episodes and will premiere on January 12 in the Friday-Saturday slot.
