Dal Ja says "Oh my God" twice in EP 8...why did she respond with "Oh my God" when she and TB were in the elevator at the beginning of the episode?

Yeah, it was part of that parody of Dal Ja as an anchorwoman. It's funny, because who hasn't dreamt of being the featured star of a love triangle at one point? It's part of one of my favorite exchanges in the episode (although pretty much all of the exchanges in ep 8 were great):

DJ's inner thoughts: "What kind of situation is this? Oh my god! It can't possibly be... the scenario I've dreamed of all my life??"

<Onscreen> "LOVE TRIANGLE...!!!"

Dal Ja as newscaster: "Now for the news. For the past 30 years, the woman who has lived without a boyfriend, simply aging on her own, Oh Dal Ja, has at last become the female lead in a love triangle. This can truly be seen as a momentous occasion."

TB: "Don't imagine useless thoughts. I was just helping you out."

DJ: "Hey, Kang Tae Bong! What did you say, you were helping me? What were you helping me with?"

TB: "I can't stand watching you behaving like a fool, so I helped you out."

DJ: "What? Fool?"

TB: "Because of that person, you were forced out of the place you'd worked for eight years. It caused your mother pain, and made yourself feel bad. So to see you acting silly in front of that guy once again, 'fool' is right."

DJ: "Kang Tae Bong."

TB: "I get that you want a man, and I also get that you're thirsty for romance. But still, that man isn't it."

DJ: "Who said that man

was

it?"

TB: "Then why can't you just come out and tell him no?"

DJ: "That's because... It was so sudden."

TB: "At your age, can't you just tell him to stop? Don't you have the strength to be a little sharp-tempered?"

DJ: "So what if I don't? I'm timid about preserving relationships so I have a hard time being sharp-tempered. You're right. But I've got to have some experience to be able to react like that. You know, I've never once in my life had a man come looking for me because he missed me. When a man says that, I don't know how to act, how to respond, how to reject him, or any of that. How sorry it is, that at your age you've never had to react like that. But you know what, Kang Tae Bong? From now on, can you be careful about when to and when not to get involved? If I didn't ask you to do it, don't bother or even pretend to know me. No matter how cocky or well-off you act, you're just someone I'm employing for pay. Got it?"

Actually, this conversation is part of the reason I think TB is really good for Dal Ja... (aside from the obvious, of course). TB has had tons of opportunities to exploit Dal ja, or mock her inexperience, or take advantage, etc. Even in this situation, it could have just been a simple case of TB being jealous. But his reaction was actually because he was thinking of what's best for Dal Ja. Even in the scene a few episodes ago (when TB gives DJ a hug after her car's tires are flattened), Tae Bong tells Dal Ja not to continue with Uhm (or Eom) Ki Joong... because she's better than that. I think he wants to see her living up to her potential, and I see most of his actions as pushing her into being the best person she can be... but not being so overbearing that he's lecturing her on what to do. It's really interesting, to see this reversal where the guy is teaching the girl about her own self-worth. It's really different, isn't it?

Now, where can I find a Tae Bong of my own???

This series is so refreshing...for once, the audience are not taken on a long and frusfrating ride just to see some developments ....things sure are happening quite fast here....

the only mystery still uncovered is tae bong's background...we've seen his grandpa, his ma, his friend and his girlfriend/sister?? but as to what actually do tae bong do for a living...i am still confused...does he man the shop in dongdaemun with his friend...is he a lawyer... is he a rich man's son...is he a professional escort??

Now, where can I find a Tae Bong of my own???

just how close is TB's character (and even BK's) like LMK? I was surprised after reading what purpletiger86 translated of an interview w/ Min Ki for the Feb '07 issue of INTERVIEW magazine...below 1 of the questions asked of Min Ki:

Q: Did you have a lot of pressure while acting more exceptional scripts/lines compare to those pretty boy image scripts?

A: I'm not sure...I like scripts where the characters are straight to the point and speak what's on their mind instead of those girly guys that have cheesy lines to say. I would straight out and answer "To cool it off. My hot/burning chest!", if my girl asked why I was laying down on a cold ice floor. (Laugh out loud). I think these lines come in more natural for me....

Fashionista - really, KBS will air Oh Dal Ja after Hwangini? That would be great....I am following Hwangini on KBS but in Spore, it has just aired the second last episode. Still one more to go for this week.....I thought they would air Snow Queen next.....but if they air Oh Dal Ja, that'll be as great ! I love both the dramas.

There are only 2 episodes of English subbed Oh Dal Ja so I have only watched thus far....I love Chae Rim and Lee Min Ki in this drama...what an interesting couple.

I look forward to the rest of the episodes.

sorry i just got home from a very busy day and wasnt able to update new posts here.. anyway im so happy with all the new progress!!

just managed to watch ep08... and i was sooo inlove with it! i love the fact that there are development on both love sotries of dalja-taebong and sunjoo0-sedo! the writers didnt wait for forever to show the scenes that we are all waiting for! i love it when dalja says OH MY GOD everytime. at least now the feelings are established and im happy taebong knows it. dalja has yet to find that taebong too has feelings for her im so excited with their new contract!! it means we'll see more intimate moments of them together!! cant wait really!
