Character descriptions

Woo Chae Woon (Joo Ji Hoon ) is the person who opens the door for the “dominant species.” Woo Chae Woon is a bodyguard and a former soldier who graduated from the Naval Academy.

Han Hyo Joo may be working with Joo Ji Hoon in a new drama!

On August 11, it was reported that Han Hyo Joo recently decided to appear in “Dominant Species” (literal title) and is adjusting her schedule. In response to the report, a source from her agency BH Entertainment clarified, “Han Hyo Joo has received an offer to star in the new drama ‘Dominant Species’ and is currently reviewing the offer.”

“Dominant Species” tells the story of a world of superior genes and viruses where all food is consumed in the form of a pill. It’s the new project of screenwriter Lee Soo Yeon, who wrote “Forest of Secrets” (also known as “Stranger”) and “Grid.” Joo Ji Hoon is in talks to play the male lead.

“Dominant Species” is scheduled to begin filming later this year, and it is currently in discussion to be revealed on a global OTT platform.

Famous actress Han Hyo Joo and actor Joo Ji Hoon will be co-star in a K-drama penned by the screenwriter of “Stranger”.

According to a broadcasting official on August 11th, Han Hyo Joo recently decided to appear in. Upcoming K-drama “Dominant Species” and is coordinating her schedule. 

 

“Dominant Species” is a new work by screenwriter Lee Soo Yeon, who is behind the successful investigation series “Stranger”. The new K-drama will depict a world filled with superior genes and viruses, where food is consumed in the form of pills, and is produced by Ace Factory.

Previously, talented actor Joo Ji Hoon was also confirmed as part of the cast. Now, he and Han Hyo Joo are expected to deliver intense chemistry and brilliant acting performances.

On September 8, it was confirmed that the five actors will be starring in the upcoming sci-fi drama “Dominant Species” (literal title).

The upcoming sci-fi drama "Dominant Species" revealed its main leads and filming date.

On September 8th, ACE FACTORY officially announced that Joo Ji Hoon, Han Hyo Joo, Lee Hee Joon, Lee Moo Saeng, and Park Ji Yeon will be the main leads of "Dominant Species." It was also revealed that the series will begin its production in the second half of 2022. 

"Dominant Species" is set in an era where humans are used to eating cultured mead produced by culturing animal cells. The story begins when several people began questioning the track record of the CEO of BF Group, a biotechnology company that is dominating the culture meat market. 

The upcoming drama will be the latest work of writer Lee Soo Yeon who is known for the works "Stranger," "Life," and "Grid." 

Joo Ji Hoon will play the role of Woo Chae Woon, a former military guard who graduated from the Naval Academy. 

Han Hyo Joo will play the role of Yoo Ja Yu, the founder, and CEO of BF Group, a cell culture and meat company.

Lee Hee Joon will play the role of Prime Minister Sunwoo Jae, Lee Moo Saeng will be a founding member of the BF Group, and Park Ji Yeon will play the role of the planning manager and lawyer of BF Group.

Ace Factory, an entertainment agency and drama production company, announced on the 8th that it has cast Ju Ji Hoon, Han Hyo Joo, Lee Hee Joon, Lee Mu Saeng, and Park Ji Yeon for the drama. 

‘Dominant Species' is set in an era in which humans eat only cultured meat produced by culturing animal cells. The story begins with one after another, people who have doubts about the path of the CEO of BF, a biotechnology company that has dominated the cultured meat market. Ju Ji Hoon plays Woo Chae Woon, a former military bodyguard who graduated from the Naval Academy, and Han Hyo Joo plays Yoon Yoo Yu, the founder and CEO of BF Group, a cell culture meat company. Kim Sang Ho is in discussion to join the cast of the upcoming drama "Dominant Species."

On October 20th, media outlet YTN Star shared that Kim Sang Ho will join Joo Ji Hoon and Han Hyo Joo in the upcoming Sci-Fi drama "Dominant Species." 

Kim Sang Ho has starred in several works this year. If Kim Sang Ho confirms his casting, "Dominant Species" will be his first upcoming drama in 2023.

The actor got the offer to play the role of Kim Shin Gu, a serum cloning expert and the research team leader of a biotechnology company. He will closely work with Han Hyo Joo and Lee Moo Saeng's characters.

Actually, that casting is for Moving, coming out sometime this year (??? hopefully?) from Disney.

On March 4, Disney+ released a teaser poster for the upcoming K-drama Blood Free. Through the poster, it was officially confirmed that the upcoming suspense thriller K-drama will premiere on April 10. 

The upcoming series will be led by Ju Ji Hoon, Han Hyo Joo, Lee Hee Joon, Lee Moo Saeng, Kim Sang Ho, Park Ji Yeon, Jun Suk Ho, Jo Bok Rae, and more. 

Blood Free will revolve around the reality behind a biotech company called BF which started the artificial cultured meat. It will also showcase how a retired military officer turned bodyguard intentionally approached the founder and the two will get caught up in mysterious deaths and incidents. 

The K-drama will be the next masterpiece of writer Lee Soo Yeon who is also known for creating the K-dramas Grid, Life, and the two seasons of Stranger. Director Park Cheol Han will also join the production of the upcoming series. 

Blood Free will have a total of 10 episodes and it will exclusively be available on Disney+ and Hulu.

 

Ju Ji Hoon will portray the role of Woo Chae Woon who was a former military officer but now works as a bodyguard. Han Hyo Joo on the other will portray the role of Yoon Ja Yoo, the founder and CEO of BF (Blood Free) Group which dominated the genetically engineered cultured meat market. 

Lee Hee Joon will portray the role of Sun Woo Jae. He is the current prime minister and he aims to take control of the BF Group. Lee Moo Sang will portray the role of On San, the partner of Yoon Ja Yoo in founding the BF Group. They have been friends for over 20 years. 

Kim Sang Ho will give life to the character named Kim Shin Goo. He is a biotechnologist who is the mastermind in the technology of artificially cultured meat. Park Ji Yeon will portray the role of Jung Hae Dun, the planning director of BF Group. Lastly, Jeon Suk Ho will portray the role of Seo Hee, the IT expert of the BF Group.
