Song Il Kook Is Heavy-Hearted and Blames Himself for Daehan’s Weak Eyesight

On the September 13 episode of “Superman Returns,” Song Il Kook and the triplets visit an eye doctor and receive some troubled news.

When it’s Daehan‘s turn to get a check-up, Song Il Kook informs the doctor, “Daehan keeps blinking excessively these days, I think it’s because he can’t see well.” It turns out that Daehan does blink a lot when he’s watching TV.

After the doctor check him, he says that Daehan has weak eyesight and has to wear glasses for the rest of his life. Hearing those words, Song Il Kook says, “But he’s so young,” and looks hurt.

Letting out a big sigh, Song Il Kook comes home and calls his wife, telling her, “I gave him a bad trait and I feel so sorry,” and thinks that Daehan’s weak eyesight is his fault.

@Chellsee  If it were a year ago i would want to go inside my laptop to grab and hold Mingukie but now I sit here and laughed because I was sure that my Mingukie is no longer a baby, he'll be able to handle. it.  

Today's episode was fun at the same time a little upsetting.  Though I think wearing corrective glasses is normal (I wear glasses too), I feel sad for some reason.  Daehanie, Fighting!  Those glasses will improve your eyesight and stop it from getting worse.  On top of that they make you like like the prettiest hwang ja in the world!  Daehanie...sarangheyo!

i cried when i watch song family at hospital song appa looks shock and sad  .poor daehan he's still 3yo but he must wear glasses  

i laugh so hard when i watch dino scene. daehan minguk manse so cute when they cry hahaha

Song Triplets Bawl and Run for Their Lives When They Meet Dinosaurs on “Superman Returns”

 

Fans of “Superman Returns” know that the Song triplets love dinosaurs, but it seems like they can’t handle seeing “real” ones that well.

On the recent episode of “Superman Returns,” Song Il Gook and the triplets go on a walk in the park. While doing so, they meet a “real” dinosaur that makes them run for their lives.

Last year, when they met a robotic dinosaur in a park, they were scared out of their minds, too. Not much has changed one year later.

Manse runs and hides behind a staff member while bawling his eyes out and Daehan and Minguk do the same.

During Song Il Kook’s individual interview, he says, “They’re crazy about dinosaurs at home, so I don’t know why they are scared of them. I guess they’re still babies.”

When do you think they’ll be brave enough to face one?

Now I start to worry about Daehan because even with his glasses on he still blinks a lot.  I hope he was blinking because he's still not used to the new glasses. I also hope SIK stop feeling guilty about Daehan's situation.  It's not his fault at all.  oh boy!  I feel depressed.

@charmy2 dear, I think he blinks a lot during that shooting since glasses is new to him, and he's not used to having it yet. Let see next episodes if little by little Daehan's eye is adjusting, which we are all hoping. I'll be more observant this time. 

On a lighter side, daddy SIK can't hide himself to Minguk. LOL!

Our little genius, smart boy can recognize his appa no matter he disguised himself.

Hi chellsee, thanks for sharing the photos of Daehan putting on his first pair of glasses on the show. Poor him - really feel sorry for him that he needs to wear glasses for the rest of his life. Sigh...he has to wear glasses from an early age. I wonder if it's in the genes. But, SIG's eyes are fine, right? Maybe from the genes of his Mom? For sure this would make him uncomfortable. I hope he will get used to it quickly.

He thought it was slight glaucoma and didn't take any specific medication (only used eyedrops), but then the doctor examined him using microscope and it turned out his eyes were in pretty bad condition. His nerves were 80% damaged, and while the remaining 20% could function normally at that time, they needed to be treated immediately, otherwise they could lead to blindness. He was totally shocked and sad as he never thought his eye problem was that serious. You could check episode 56 for more detail.

Good news:  Daehan's blinks a lot because of his eye lashes.  I don't know if his lashes are too long or he has ingrown eye lashes (don't know if there's such thing). Anyways, the optometrist Daehan's blinking can be fixed with some med for his lashes (??).  

Bad news: his eyesight is really bad, he's heavily nearsighted. He can't see clearly more than half meter (2ft) without wearing corrective lenses.

However, there's something called LASIK

How can i’m not love my Daehanie hyung ???

Knowing that there is something wrong with his beautiful eyes, he didn’t show sadness or disappointment at all...all he know is just to listen what SIK appa told him to do...

At the moment i feel his emotional managing is more better than SIK appa...though i know he’s just a little boy who didn’t know what actually happens to his eyes..

I’m 100%  agree with SIK when he’s said that Daehanie is an obedient and mature child...just take a look, from the 1st time he had to wore the glasses, he never rejected or pull it off and then when sometimes he feels uncomfortable to wears the glasses yet he tries to puts it back...NO COMPLAINT AT ALL...

Not to mentions, he’s the only one among the triplets who still keep close to his father during the dino vs SIK battle and later check it whether the dino already died...I’ll not surprise if ever SIK appa was acted as he had bitten by the dinosaur, Prince Daehanie will immediately jump to fight and save his appa just like the alligator scene before...
