KBS2’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “Minamdang” (romanized title) shared its first look at Seo In Guk’s new character!

Based on the popular web novel of the same name, “Minamdang” is a comedy-mystery about Nam Han Joon, a baksumuduang (male shaman) who used to be a profiler. He meets Han Jae Hee (Oh Yeon Seo), a detective in the violent crimes unit who is passionate about justice.

Seo In Guk will be taking on the role of Nam Han Joo who has extraordinary fortune and a silver tongue. The newly released stills capture Seo In Guk making a fashionable transformation into Nam Han Joo, wearing a trendy coat in one still and an impactful wine-colored suit in another.

Nam Han Joo’s sharp gaze reflects his past career as a profiler. The released still captures him exuding a cold atmosphere as he appears to be lost deep in thought while holding knots used during a Gut (ritual performed by Korean shamans). Seo In Guk will portray both a skilled profiler with sharp analytical skills as well as a sly shaman.

 

 

The production team shared, “Seo In Guk is completing the charming character of Nam Han Joon while being greatly in sync [with his character] and showing diverse chemistry with the other young actors. Please look forward to Nam Han Joon’s story that will simultaneously deliver refreshing laughter and great tension with the uncommon backdrop of a fortune teller’s shop.”

KBS 2TV’s “Minamdang” (romanized title) shared a sneak peek of Kwak Si Yang in character!

Based on the popular web novel of the same name, “Minamdang” is a comedy-mystery starring Seo In Guk as the fraudulent male shaman Nam Ha Joon who used to be a profiler. Oh Yeon Seo stars as the detective Han Jae Hee in the violent crimes unit who is passionate about justice.

Kwak Si Yang plays Gong Soo Chul, a barista at Minamdang. While he initially appears cold, Gong Soo Chul is a softie who speaks in dialect. He is fiercely loyal and will join hands with Nam Ha Joon to get justice.

The newly released stills depict the two very different sides of Gong Soo Chul. He carries out his work in a professional manner while wearing an outfit that is fit for office wok, and he shows a serious attitude as a barista while showing off his sophisticated charisma and deep eyes.

 

 

However, Gong Soo Chul exudes a completely different vibe with his pure and bright smile. He perfectly pulls off the adorable purple jacket and short bangs, and the way he poses with his hands under his chin makes the viewers let their guards down.

Based on the popular web novel of the same name, “Minamdang” is a comedy-mystery starring Seo In Guk as a fraudulent male shaman who used to be a profiler. Oh Yeon Seo stars as a detective in the violent crimes unit who is passionate about justice.

Seo In Guk’s character Nam Han Joon, a former profiler and current shaman, has extraordinary fortune and a silver tongue. He’s trendy and fashionable, and he’s spotted in stylish outfits all the time. Oh Yeon Seo’s character Han Jae Hee is the violent crimes division’s team leader. She’s righteous, lighthearted, quirky, sincere, and doesn’t hold grudges.

The newly released stills show Nam Ha Joon and Han Jae Hee coincidentally crossing paths at the scene of an incident. Unlike Nam Ha Joon, who is decked out from head to toe, Han Jae Hee is wearing a comfortable oversized jumper with her hair simply tied up.

In particular, the two draw attention with the taut atmosphere they create with their tense eyes. @larus chingu.. seems like we will get to see Seo In Guk Ssi in suits because his character likes to wear them. the name of the drama Minamdang literally means (good looking male shaman) he's going to pass himself off as a shaman albeit fraudulently. it's not a supernatural story as well, so I'll have to check out the first few episodes anyway.

The upcoming KBS drama "Café Minamdang" released its main poster and confirmed its broadcast premiere. 

On June 1st KBS released the main poster for the upcoming mystery comedy-drama "Café Minamdang." It was also stated in the poster that the drama will premiere on June 27th.

"Café Minamdang" will base its story on the novel of the same name by Jung Jae Han. The series will revolve around the mysterious happenings going around a former profiler and his colleagues. The drama will also showcase the suspicious cafe named Minamdang and the people who often visit it. 

The drama will be directed by Go Jae Hyun ("Crime Puzzle" and "Dinner Mate") and the script will be penned by Park Hye Jin ("The Emperor: Owner of the Mask"). It will be produced by People Story Company, AD406, and Monster Union.

The main poster revealed, it showcased the items that are usually used in fortune-telling shops such as bells, fans, fortune-telling books, and more. The bell on the poster also shines brightly seemingly hinting at spiritual energy in the atmosphere. 

Seo In Guk will play the role of Nam Han Joon, a former profiler turned male shaman. Oh Yeon Seo will play the role of Han Jae Hee, a detective in the violent crime group who's not interested in an ongoing case. 

Other casts of the drama include Kwak Shi Yang, Kang Mi Na, Kwon Soo Hyun, Jung Ha Joon, and more. 

"Café Minamdang" will premiere on June 27th after "Bloody Heart" concludes. The series will be part of KBS' Monday-Tuesday drama timeslot.

 

 

This will be the first official drama of Seo In Guk for 2022. He started the year by making a special guest appearance in the drama "Soundtrack #1." He will also join the upcoming MBC series "Smoking Gun." 

Meanwhile, this will be the follow-up project of Oh Yeon Seo after the 2021 series "Mad for Each Other." The actress is also set to star in the upcoming film "Apgujeong Report."
