I forgot to mention her nomination though in the 2006 MBC Drama Awards...I'm rooting for her to win. I agree with you though that she might take a long rest after Jumong since she has been appearing on dramas for the last 2 years especially that her last 2 dramas (Goodbye Sadness and Jumong) are really long ones...I really hope to see her in a new production next year since I think if I'm not mistaken the coming year 2007 is her year (1971 falls in the Year of the Pig) yipee!!!

sharing this old OYS article that I translated for Park Sun-young's thread...OYS is really supportive of her co-actors endeavors...this was about her current drama, Jumong competing with PSY's drama 101st Proposal , which already ended months ago

May 30, 2006 - Actress Oh Yeon-soo, one of the actors in the MBC hit Historical drama Joo Mong says that all of the other dramas competing with their drama (like PSY's 101st Proposal for instance) are also good and healthy competition is established so she wishes that all their dramas (Joo Mong, Mr. Goodbye and 101st Proposal) would all do well

The actress also said that she feels weird that her drama, Joo Mong now competes with the drama of Park Sun-young, whom she worked together with in the KBS Weekend Drama Goodbye Sadness and they have established a friendship even after the drama ended "If ever we'll meet again, we'll be able to laugh it off, even if there is stiff competition between our dramas"

Park Sun-young was also quoted saying during the press conference of the 101st Proposal that she is aware that her drama will compete with such a big drama (Joo Mong) but she knows that she and Oh will have healthy competition and that in the end, one of their dramas will show its emergence as a top rated drama.

congrats to Oh Yeon-soo for winning the Grand Scale Historical Drama Award together with Hur Joon-ho at the 2006 MBC Drama Awards...she was not physically present to accept the awards since at the time of the ceremony she was on a US trip with her family...

will leave 'jumong' on january 15th, during ep. 66, as the character 'yoohwa' gets killed by king geumwa.

upon finding out jumong is still alive, yoohwa tries to leave buyeo to join him in gyeru, however she dies

at geumwa's sword....

Currently watching Jumong, gotta say OYS is one of my favorite in there. I'm so suprised to see how young and beautiful she is in the first few episodes. When she becomes the mother, she's still pretty thought she looks much more mature. love her love story in there !!!

January 17 - Oh Yeon-soo expressed her feelings after leaving the drama Jumong. She is thankful for the viewers for the love and support that they gave for her character, Yoohwa since she never expected such a warm response since the drama started.

She also said that she never felt leaving Jumong even as she shot her last scenes a few days ago. She enjoyed working with the great staff and cast of Jumong for 8 months and she wishes them all the best until the end of the drama

was killed by King Geumwa after learning that she and Ye So-ya escaped from Buyeo to meet Jumong

generally the drama is worth watching because of its good story and acting...actually OYS character in the drama is not that good unlike in Jumong, IMHO...her acting is good but her character in Farewell to Tears was a weak one, but still you should try watching it, I still watched the drama because of her though...you might want to try watching A Second Proposal...OYS was really good in that drama, and one of my personal favorites as well

I don't think Oh Yeon Soo will get the part. I just saw a more recent article from today that said Kim Hee Ae is likely to star in it.

The writer of this new drama also wrote 부모님전상서 which starred Kim Hee Ae.

All casting decisions will be finalized within the next 2 weeks.

gosh!!! I was really expecting OYS to get the part too...I honestly think she will fit the role...thanks for the news Jahye and for the video clip, I miss her also though Jumong has just started airing in my country so I can still watch her but anyway I hope to see her again in a few months time
