Another thing that makes this kiss so hot is that it really is a mutual kiss. Most kdrama kisses are either of the fish kiss type variety (basically no lip action) or the man takes the lead in the kiss and even though there is lip action, the woman is clearly not a participant. 

With NG/AJ kiss, they are both totally going for it! She's as much invested in it as he is, and not only is there lip action, but also definite teeth action on both their parts! It's obvious that he bites her lip, but although it's more subtle, she definitely bites his lip back. Somehow I don't think that was in the script...

I 100% agree on that, because in my whole dramaland history (I've watched TOO many lol), I've seen severe types of kdrama kisses and I'd say that most of them (like 90%) were highkey awkward? no matter how good chemistry is on - if kiss is ala dead fish - it kills it, it kills everything.

When we first got info that our leads are going to kiss in ep 12, I honestly didn't expect much, bc mhm... it's kdrama. But when I saw it I was in disbelief and at the same time I was literally screeching like a pterodactyl  This is legitimately the best kiss in all kdrama history, istg. It looks real and sincere and 1000% I think some feelings included. Idk how any times I've already watched the SCENE™ lol

I just watched Pandora, and cried, remind me of movie Armageddon, minus romance lol. The story itself is so good, can't imagine if we live in that neigborhood . Btw spotted Oh Hara's mom as first lady. Hehe

 

Also rewatched The King, just to see KAJ's part and found out Doo Chil also took part in the movie as gym teacher (oh I hate his character). KAJ's character is so cool

I don’t remember KNG getting red ears and red neck from his previous kiss scenes. This is the first time I have seen him so red and I am actually loving it! wahahahaha

Since we're back on the seungjang kiss topic..  

Based on my short experience working in a production team, I think the seungjang kiss was done more than one take. 

 

 

Even how natural the kiss (stated by KAJ) is:

a) usually a drama tend to put a few shots of different angles even just for one scene. 

b) the director will take a few shots so they can pick up the best one, that would lead up to (c)

c) usually depend on the editor too, if they are creative and smart enough, they can use all shots and combine them together, as we can see from the seungjang kiss.

d) director sometimes sit along with editor/ sometimes the director also is the one who do the editing (proven for the last episode where the team were surprise by the last message from the director).

 

From the earlier bts, we can see they were using multiple-camera.

But in wikipedia stated that under camera setup, they were using only single-camera.

It could be for reasons like they got some budget to use more than one camera on earlier episode, or maybe for special shots on the certain scenes. I might be wrong on this.

 

Now, for how many shots for the seunjang kiss, I separated them into a similar shots/angle.  

 

1) The medium close-up shot / the two-shot :

Shown in other scene/episode but still same shot as above

 

2) The over Yeon Kyung's shoulder shot/ Heo Im's close up:

I think the camera slightly move, but still it looked similar with the angle above.

So, I consider this as the same shot like above.

 

3) The over Heo Im's shoulder shot/ Yeon Kyung's close up: 

 

4) This is the only shot that I think was different from the rest.

Maybe because the kiss looked too passionate or emotional or could be it was an NG afterward.

 

So, based on the gifs, they were 4 different angles/shots of Seungjang Kiss but not sure if they were using single-camera or not. 

If they were, it's definitely took exactly or more than 4 takes of them kissing.. Hooray!!

But if they were using multiple camera, at least they might need one or two takes.

and d.am.n.it if they did not put the seungjang kiss bts in the bluray/dvd, I might just go to korea and burn the TVN station.

Opened the dcgal link to see the seungjang kiss from previous page, I don't know why the gifs didn't move (is it because the internet connection or what), I decided to download it, and saved them on the phone. Feels like I'm saving porn gifs hahahhaa.

I like that she was as much invested in it as he is...thats what made this drama for me one fabulous treat ....

Btw, maybe KNG and KAJ did flirt or have 'some'thing going on during shooting.. when i did a telemovie, it took around 7days to shoot for an hour and a half slot.. and the actor already flirt/being touchy with the actress on the 2nd day..

now imagine KNG & KAJ meeting up since April and start filming for months?
