So I kinda liked the ending of SHR but at the same time it also made me feel that the drama was kinda rushed in the end. I wished we had more episodes to flesh out a lot of the issues leading to the finale. HS ending up pregnant was kinda a surprise but also kind of expected too. I mean the couple spent a lot of nights together so I assume they did something other than write poems and eat. I wished her pregnancy was revealed early on though (like ep 18 or 19) so we, the audience, could have understood early on why she was adamant about leaving the palace. Thoughts on the finale: * It redeemed Jung in my eyes. I was more emotional about the part where he kinda revealed to Baek Ah his true feeling for HS more than when WS became batshit crazy when he saw HS's ashes. * It was funny how WS has time to spy on HS and Jung. * I was glad that baby SoSoo lived and that WS knew she was his daughter. * It would've been nice GHJ met a reincarnation of WS in the present time (and they could've also shown more scenes in the modern era) * The final episode was clearly made to set up a possible second season but I don't think it's possible anymore because while the drama was not not well received it wasn't a big hit either (in SK). Random thoughts on the drama: * Can IU be a princess in her next historical drama (if she ever does one again) * I lowkey shipped Crown Prince and HaeSoo hahahaha * I actually loved 14th Prince from the beginning but during the middle part of the drama he became to idiotic so I disliked him then * I kinda wish that they showed HS and WH friendship more * I hated it when the drama became too political because I wanted more SoSoo moments * I'll probably keep rewatching this drama until I'm sick of it while waiting for IU to comeback with new music :))) I totally with U... especially in these red mark :)))

Popular Post tinniet
I re-read the posts in this thread during the airing of eps 20 LOL it's amazing to see how emotionally tortured we were (or should I say we are?) along this journey of MLSHR yet we chose to stick till the end (and beyond). MLSHR always negates our expectation and mostly not in a good way. When we thought that the ending couldn't be sadder than C-BBJX or the novel, the show gave us a hard slap on the face and proved that it was very capable of the ultimate tragic ending. When I thought that we would have one last time of Sun Hae Im's song played for Soo's death, it was actually played TWICE, and the second time was equally heartbreaking, if not more. This show was always beyond expectation but not in a good way. And we're forever bound to this misery because they chose to not give us proper closure. But do I regret for letting myself fall into what seems to be never ending misery? No. I'm forever grateful for the day I found some random still pictures from MLSHR eps 1-4 on FB and decided to give this drama a try, the first K-drama I watch in 10 years it seems. I'm grateful that I chose an unusual drama with all its flaws and charms instead of a normal K-drama. Because of this drama, I found LJG, I found friends in DB and Soompi, put my hand in creating FMV for the first time ever, etc. I lost some stuffs in RL, but I gained just as much that I don't regret anything. These past 2 months journey is bittersweet. The whole MLSHR is bittersweet. Like WS, we're given only handful of everything; handful of information, handful of happiness, handful of hope, handful of romance in the sea of angst. But because they're only handful, I come to treasure every good moments knowing that they would end soon. There is no happy ending, only small, scattered moments of happiness. I think we're all aware of this since the beginning. We see everytime WS was given a chance to be happy, life would hit him 1000x harder that his small moment of happiness could hardly compensate. We sympathize with WS so much that his happiness is our happiness, his sadness is our sadness, which is why we're doomed because WS is such a tragic character. Keeping our feeling bound to his is never a good idea but we're willing to take this roller coaster ride anyway. It was an exhausted journey but I'm satisfied that I could keep going till the very end. I may not watch any K-drama in the time being (though I will consider LJG's upcoming drama) because nothing can really replace MLSHR yet. Thank you all eclipses, for the recaps, beautiful pics and vids, information, analysis, or simply just one line comment. The journey is more meaningful because of you guys here. I will still lurk and post here till my withdrawal syndrome gets resolved (is it even possible? LOL)

keiko9
I realized we didn't get to see the scene where Hae Su first saw a glimpse of future Gwangjong at the rain ritual. Was it something I missed or was it a deleted scene again?

I also wonder if the vision of GJ killing the court men actually happened or it was just Soo's imagination of the ruthless GJ.

I seriously want this to be true but when I looked on Wikipedia I read that the 2 specials have been released already. 1st was in August and the 2nd in September and they were condensed recaps of episodes. If they are the specials that they are referring to then I guess they're wrong but they could be talking about other specials. I really do hope that they are right because I NEED THOSE SCENES!!
