Gabi Bros
9 minutes ago, churasan said: All I can say is I can finally get my life back... I'm in the minority, but I'm glad they didn't meet up in the future. To me, HS falling in love with WS's descendant or reincarnation or whatever is just not the same. In the end, that future person is not WS. I've watched a lot of time travel dramas and to me, that type of ending is just cliche and not original. Although it is cruel, I'm glad that HS remembered everything. However, I wished she could look upon the memories fondly instead of something painful. I guess the writer didn't want WS to be the only one crying alone. Now, HS is doing the same in the future. I'm glad that HS had a daughter and Jung was taking care of her outside of the palace. In my opinion, I think WS knew it was her daughter. But it was so vague. I wished the writers made it more obvious that he acknowledged her. It would have been nice to know that maybe knowing a part of HS still remained in his world could give WS some sort of comfort during the rest of his reign. But is she really Go Ha Jin?... I think is a different timeline (in which Jimong is not a beggar). For me, she is just another version of herself with the same soul that suddenly remembered. I think future Wang So's case could be the same, the same soul...is only that the memories are slept and he eventually remember her. But considering his strong feeling to be with her again, I think probably he remembered first than her. This is only speculation, too bad that we didn't see future SO.

Popular Post kdramawriter
PRINCE OF PRINCES: JUNG: What a shock Jung was to me. I really loved him in this episode. What an amazingly solid friend he was to Hae Su. Holding her when she died, allowing her all that time to be alone with her imaginary WS. I like the way he defied the King to do what was necessary (like help Baek Ah or marry Hae Su - shades of a much younger Wang So). His whole friendship marriage with HS was the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen. Also just so sacrificial on his part. When Hae Su gave birth to WS’s daughter, that Jung decided to raise with no hesitation, that’s an amazing man. It takes a special someone to raise someone else’s child. And then Jung doesn’t even get HS’s ashes at the end. What Baek Ah said to Jung was really hurtful: Don’t you know who she would rather be with, because the answer is Wang So. Even in HS’s death, Jung doesn’t get a piece of her. Well, I guess he gets her daughter, but you know he really loves Hae Su. THE BEBE: I was so surprised they had Hae Su survive childbirth. It makes me deeply mad the way the script was written, cause the baby was clearly a key part of why Hae Su left the palace. She would have been missing her period for about 2 months now (she had the baby 6 months after leaving the palace) Hae Su left the palace for her safety, but also to ensure that her baby would be born. Her baby and Wang So’s baby. *sniff sniff* the one he wanted so badly. And she couldn’t tell him that she was pregnant because he would only make her stay. Making her stay in environment where YH was accusing her of killing all the princes, where danger is around every turn, no wonder HS took the most drastic measures possible by marrying Jung. I always said she was incredibly goal focused in episode 19, but I had no idea it was to protect her baby. BAD WRITER giving us out of sequence events that would make us UNDERSTAND her motivations and make that parting scene even more PAINFUL than it already is. (Turn up my pain quotient to 10). It is also insanely tragic that Hae Su left her daughter to the two men who would miss her the most: Wang So and Jung. They both shared Hae Su, but the daughter is a symbol of what they both lost. I dunno if that’s a blessing or a curse. Probably both. I also loved that she’s a daughter, a basically useless person in the palace because if she were a son, then she might have claims to the throne. She’s only Jung’s daughter (probably according to official records) and with no rights to Wang So at all. So I think in his way, WS could cherish the last remainder of HS (the bebe) without dragging in the palace which killed her in the first place. I really wish they had played this out better. WANG SO: Ugh, he gutted me this episode. A few things I don’t understand is when he was spying on HS and Jung didn’t he see her clutching her chest and keeling over? Or did overhearing about the baby make him think that it was Jung’s baby? It doesn’t make sense for So to be “enh, she’s over me even tho she’s clearly ill, I’mma peace out.” Hae Su looked like she was dying the entire time she was at Jung’s house. This is his stubbornness and inability to see things when it comes to Hae Su in shades other than “you’re with me or you’re against me.” When she left for Jung’s house, she squarely fell into the camp of you’re against me and he couldn’t see that she still loved him but had VERY GOOD reasons for leaving. That eclipse scene at the end was so gorgeous. Sometimes, the cinematography on this show is just stunning, and one of the reasons I started really getting into it. I loved all the palace ground shots, just wide beautiful composition. WS saying that he will find "Hae Su, his dear" is breath taking to me. Once he understood that Hae Su loved him, more than he ever could let himself believe, that's going to be his driving force for the rest of his life. I really believe he will find her. THEMES: Over all the show is really about living for the present. When you neglect focus on the present, you cannot appreciate all that is around you. Like when WS was too busying governing to see that HS was in danger and ill. Or that Hae Su was too worried about him killing everyone so she kept him at arms length. We all have a limited time on this earth, and especially HS because she’s on borrowed time. If you don’t make the best of the time you have, then you are doomed to heartache and tragedy. All that cool theory I have about women in history is still valid, but complimentary piece to that is: when you seek power, you lose people and you lose yourself. It’s the women that have the high body count in the drama, but it’s the rulers and kings that are alive but alone. Overall, the show had some deep mechanical flaws. But I gotta say whatever it is they did to keep me glued to the screen and comment board is black magic. I cared about every character. Everyone had their turn to be sympathetic and to have their POV be understood. It really is a show with so much that would have been amazing with more time.

The letter tells him how to use eclipse ( let's say 20 yrs later so that he can fulfill his duties of a king) to time travel. Or maybe that did happen offscreen adn the fact that JM mentions that HS was not from this world.. which given the background, i am tempted to believe that WS would have believed it.. late king believed it.. and WS knows JM is not senile PS: In history 9th is supposed to die isn't it? And he doesn't? whereas everyone else does? ********************* What are the rules of time travel? - eclipse you time travel.. to your counterpart body in other timelines.. but then to make a return journey same rule shoudl apply no? 9th did die. He was given poison. Think they don't want give him too much air time. So didn't explain why we were suddenly given that scene. It was needed to tell him to repent for your sins and what you did to CR!

ALSO, they didnt say how Hajin was saved from drowning? (well i couldnt understand her conversation with her collegues) or it might just be that it was all a dream for her??? What do I understand from Ha Jin conversation with her colleague, she is having the same weird but somehow seems so real dreams of her living in Goryeo since from a year ago where she fell into the lake.
glacial
the ending is left open. if they make a season 2, it'll be a continuation and if they don't they want us to basically imagine if he will reach the 21st century or not, its vague!! "if you're from another world, i will find you" stalker ex bf from the past life, perfect horror movie plot lmao
Immortal_Angel
Lol not trying to be mean but did the writers just pulled a OUAT (Once Upon A Time) quote there Prince Charming and Snow White always says "I will find you, I will always find you" So if they did, then we have hope that in present day they will find each other. cause in OUAT, they always find each other no matter how far they are and where they are. But I'm hoping that what HS told WS at the end that she will love him. So I want her to fight for him this time not the other way around. and I'm pretty sure 8th prince will be involve somehow like him falling for her while she's chasing after 4th this time

moonlover399993
Watched it. Feel so cheated that they didn't meet. But finally glad that this roller coaster of emotions is over. I can finally breathe and move on, well not really if you count reading fanfics, haha. A big heavy weight has been lifted off my chest. No drama made me feel this way. I'm feeling varies emotions that I can't express them in words. You guys get it I'm sure. I thought I would have been crying hysterically and going nuts and mad, but I strangely feel calm. Does it make sense to feel numb but at the same time have different emotions? I don't know what to think anymore, but happy that its over. . I might re-watch it in the distance future, not anytime soon. I want to get over this heartache. This drama will be very special to me. Can't say all the reasons why but it is. Made me create an account and join this forum for the first time. I loved sharing my thoughts, feelings, and getting to know you guys. This won't be my last post, I feel like I'm saying a sad goodbye. I hope we meet again in a different drama. Some dramas I watch I leave it halfway cuz I don't find it appealing anymore, but rare dramas such as this, boy did it make me crave for more. Just real sad that they didn't meet.

I think they didn't mention much of him in korean history but in the cversion Spoiler he did died. 4th/the king place him under house arrest and 13th came by and gave him poison and handed him the letter the same way as the kdrama did and he said RX wanted it. So poison is the easy way out then living under house arrest But to me its karma, he poison CP and probably King Yo so now its his turn to be poison

Popular Post Diana Blanche
LOL in fact I like the end even if it's just me! Somehow I expected for NO So in modern era. (Leaving the end open for a sequel?) And these are my first thoughts: 1 Hae Soo left the palace because she loved their child more than anything. She knew that if she tells So about the baby he would have never allowed her to leave. She did what was best for the child. To be raised free. 2 Jung already told to So that the baby is his and Hae Soo when he told him that Soo wish was that the child to not be raised in palace. So was never stupid, he realized that the baby is his but he respected HS desire. That is why So allowed Jung to return to the palace. And the writer redeem his/herself in my eyes for the baby story. All in all this drama was a MASTERPRICE! Congratulations to the actors and actresses and the casting director and for their wonderful job! And now I will wait for a big award for LJG brilliant performance.

atsu-chan
I'm not upset at the sad ending with the ridiculous piggybacking flashback at the end, I'm upset that the ending made no sense. Too many flashbacks and chopped up scenes, so much so that there was no actual flow in the events. It was more like one sad montage and I'm wondering, WHY? I'm not asking for a happy ending, I just want one that makes sense. I'm also not asking for the time traveling and eclipsing to be explained, but it made no sense at all. The eclipse that flashbacked to the beginning, Ha Jin waking up with different hair coloring in her own house? And what did she learn from going to the museum, with all the tacky, modern looking paintings? And Ji Mong, what is up with Ji Mong? I felt that was one character that could have been left out of the whole series. What was the point of his existence? Also, lots of long lost children in this episode. I'm assuming the kid at Wook's house is Baek-Ah's (as per the novel), but when Gwangjong sees his long lost kind as well........?!?!?! When you pull it once I buy it, twice and it just feels like lazy writing.
