Just finished the episode!

I like how they're setting up the plot. Everything flows nicely so far. I believe they're shooting this somewhat like one of those crime documentaries? The delivery's pretty straight forward. I can see how this would entice us viewers to help solve the mystery, ala Crime Scene. The sound effects and music are nicely done. Well-acted too, with the exception of those tragic foreign extras. All in all, a pretty strong start. Hope the ratings go up! I need that Sungjae-Geunyoung duet, haha.

Watched 1st episode, it was solid episode.. just a pity I can't understand Korean :(

As expected MGY gives great performance, so do the other actors. Sung Jae is good too.. As does the little child actor.. It seems the PD is right. Everyone can act!

My suggestion: don't watch it during midnight and alone!! Just don't! Unless you're horror lovers, I really won't suggest anyone watch this alone in the dark..

The last part is really really scary, and you can def relate it esp when live alone.. I got goosebumps all over my skin.. haha :w00t::vicx:

is that really scary???omoooo i like the horror story, but i always need someone who escort me.hehehhe

Its really interesting to read that all the actors still didnt know the murderer...so interesting!!

Okay, will be back with my review^^

I like horror stuff too but I'll wait for this one to finish to catch up or else I might go crazy. Live watching Korean drama can be so stressful!

Just watched episode 1 raw....Oh wow...I loved the tone and mood--I know it's only the first episode---but I thought it was really well made/directed and excellently acted! Ratingswise, this may not be a runaway hit as the genre I believe may turn people away, but crossing fingers it will just go up as we learn more about this village full of secrets. I felt  like I was seeing it all and everyone from MGY's character's perspective...hope someone subs or recaps this!!!

"The Village: Achiara's Secret" started off last.

According to Nielsen Korea, SBS drama "The Village: Achiara's Secret" started off with 6.9%.

This is 13.5% lower than the final episode of "Yong Pal" which rated 20.4%.

"The Village: Achiara's Secret" is a drama about the things that happen after a dead body is found in a village. Despite Moon Geun-young's performance, the first episode started off real low.

MBC drama "She Was Pretty" came in next with 13.1%. This is 2.9% more than the previous episode. KBS 2TV "The Merchant: Gaekju 2015" came in third with 7.8% which is 1.1% more than before.

I've watched the first episode at night and I enjoyed it.  The sound effect is really creepy and suit the tone of the drama.  The PD was right, all the actors can act.  Love MGY and YSJ is really good.  Hope the ratings get better, can't wait for Episode 2.  Fighting!

2. [+294, -25] I wasn't expecting much from him as he's an idol but he's cunningly good ㅋㅋㅋㅋIt's not that he's imitating anyone's style but he's effortlessly good like a true actor. Do even better!!

3. [+50, -6] There was so much hate thrown to him in the beginning because he didn't match Moon Geun Young's level but honestly, Yook Sungjae suits this character perfectly and his acting is really good too

4. [+42, -5] He suits this role!!! I was worried for him but he's better than expected. Hwaiting!

Most of this Netizen comments is good and i think too. I hope Korea does more dramas like this. I expect more to watch Village.
