i was browsing the first few pages of this thread and i must admit i'm so overwhelmed by infos/articles re:BYJ!!!!!

i have a lot of catching up to do!!!!! 481 pages of pure BYJ bliss! ha!ha!

Yeah, Liezle is brilliant, and the whole team here is amazing, especially considering that they rebuilt this whole thread from scratch not too long ago!

I have to make a correction about my post above. Saito Yuki will be a University Freshman this coming school year (April).

He will join Waseda University Baseball Team next school year. He will turn 19 this June. His birthday is June 6, 1988.

I tried to find the article saying he's in the US. I think I've mistaken about the international competition.

I confused it with the news on TV about Hoshino coach appointed as new coach for the national team and he was

talking about Saito as a player he would want to be in the team. I think he is still about to finish high school now.

bb is he in the US now?

keke, actually i also can't remember where i'd read that he's in the states.

maybe i was mistaken...

'Yon-sama' wind is blowing in mobile market in Japan.

The Key East (CEO-Bae Seongwoong) announced on 7 that membership holders at BYJ Official Mobile Site they opened on NTT Tokomo and Softbank, Japanese mobile companies, went over 15,000 in 3 weeks of starting the service.

The BYJ Mobile Page, having established on past 17, proved unchanging 'BYJ power' in Japan as 6,000 paid members gathered during initial two days. Grafting contens of 'Yon-sama' BYJ, who leads the way of Hallyu, to IT seems to put its first step smoothly.

BYJ Mobile Site offers mobile contents related to BYJ including bell sounds carrying BYJ's voice as well as BYJ's photos, and it is run on flat price at 300 yen a month.

As there are increasing (number of) users who transfer to flat rate system in order to contact BYJ Mobile Site, in addition to the fact that a mobile site will be open at KDDI, the second-placed mobile communication company in Japan, on around 15, the company expected that the membership would continue to increase centering around people in their 30~40th.

The Key East plans to proceed also with TV commercials about BYJ Mobile Site from in this month. Also it is preparing an internet service where fans personally poast UCC and can form community with entertainers, and it also plans to open wireless site later on.

Chung Woonsang, Central Chief, at this company told, "Beginnin with opening of BYJ Official Mobile Site in Japan, we will make efforts in linking to IT including grating Hallyu contents to diverse new media including cable, IP, TV, etc."

Photographer Leslie Kee Reveals

Plans for ‘New Photo Album’

& Secrets of Photo Shoot

"A photo is a combination of an encounter and magic.

Like magic, a photo will come out great,

just as I sometimes think that,

an encounter is somehow brought about magically.

My meeting with him seemed like magic."

This is what Leslie Kee, the world renowned photographer,

said of his encounter with BYJ.

Born in Singapore, he has been photographing the Asian continent

as a photo journalist for three years.

He has been responsible for many print ads

and moved his base of operations to New York in 2002.

But then at the end of 2004, the Sumatra tsunami occurred.

"Wanting to do something for his homeland,"

he photographed 300 Asian stars

and held a charity photo exhibit, Super Stars,

last November in Omotesando Hills, Tokyo to benefit disaster victims.

Yonsama’s photos were also exhibited.

"I first met him last year at a studio in Tokyo,

but I felt he was a friend I knew from long ago.

It was as if we approved of and appreciated each other.

Both of us are perfectionists."

Among the big name artists Leslie was photographing for the first time,

Leslie said there were some during the photograph sessions

who hated taking strict orders from him.

"Yonsama quickly responded to my directions with a smile.

He is very expressive.

But when I said, take off your clothes, and made the request,

he didn’t respond at first.

Then I said, when Leslie gives an order, you have to give it up.

The only thing you can do is take your clothes off.

Leslie makes everyone take their clothes off." (laughs)

After joking a bit, and on the third request,

he took off his clothes (to expose his upper torso).

There were only two hours for the photo session

but he reflects back with satisfaction saying he was able to do good work.

"I was nervous as I took the photos.

You rarely come across a person like this.

At first, I was calling him Yonsama

but then midway, I got to calling him Yong Joon.

I’m one year older than him

but his physique is bigger so he looks older than me." (laughs)

Leslie had each star select a word as their theme.

For example, (Matsutoya Yumi) Yumin chose "Destiny"

and Nakata Hidetoshi chose "Travel".

"One week after the photograph session,

Yong Joon wrote and submitted the word 'family' in Korean, English, and Japanese.

He calls his fans, all Asians as family.

I think it’s a great word."

The photo exhibit will be held at the Osaka OAP Sky Plaza from February 10.

Several unreleased photos of Yonsama

that couldn’t be seen in Tokyo will be exhibited.

Plans are for the photo exhibit to be held in Taiwan, Singapore and Shanghai.

Leslie says he is looking forward to a reunion with Yonsama.

"I’m looking forward to publishing a photo album with him.

I’ve also talked to President Sohn.

Nothing definite has been discussed yet

but since he’s currently busy with the drama filming,

I’d like to photograph the photo album next year."

If this project becomes a reality,

this is something to look forward to!
