I am watching the Hotelier now, Bae was so good and so handsome in it.

Like everyone here, I really support whatever he wish to do as long as he is happy, but whenever I watch an episode of his drama or his movie, I want to shout at the top of my lung "Come back please!" :D

Hi sunny, I love this drama. Hotelier is funOverall, the plot is interesting, though there is not a great deal of tension or excitement. This one is pretty lightweight.  Hotelier takes a sector of Korean life, and expounds on the daily workings of not only the upper-middle to upper class main characters, but also ordinary people. I enjoyed watching it - I hope you do, too! There are so many scenes that I love.

Hi Willenette! I am really enjoying the drama! There were a few scenes of him speaking  in English which was so nice just to hear words coming directly from him without reading the subtitles!

I also found a Thai fan’s blog which is inactive but still has a posting of an interview with him during the time when he was in the drama Have we really love (I think someone reposted here back many pages ago too) It seemed to be  a very interactive post where he was asking how everyone is liking the episode and something to that effect.

Gosh, I really miss him, I don’t know how you guys and others who has been fans for so long manage this painful longing. Ok, maybe I am being a bit dramatic but I am sure you know what I mean! LOL

@sunny88 (sorry, i can't clear the previous post), do you know, by the way, that Bae tied the knot at this very hotel, where the Hotelier was shot?

Hi Mstamatoff! Yes, I did read about that, he must really like the hotel! :)

I also read about those devoted Japanese fans who traveled there and camped out in the rain just to catch (or hope to) a glimpse of him. It was so nice of him to give these fans coupons for dinner too - it really reflects the type of person he is!

Hi sunny,  I guess BYJ isn't really that fluent but he can understand & speak English. Ye, in the drama there were few scenes of this but unlike in WS, considering he was playing someone who lived in the States half his life there, but didn't speak even one single English word in the drama.  Even in Japanese language he's very shy to use it. Well, his way of speaking English is pleasing to the ears, though. Actually, BYJ is very CUTE when he speaks in English.

I found an interview BYJ did when he was doing the voice for the Japanese Animation of Winter Sonata. It was about 10 years now but maybe he was already planning to get out of the business one day.

Q : You bought Digital Adventure, a Japanese corporation. Why?

A : That's the decision of the company, not mine. I once was interested in business, but now I am really not interested in it. I've concluded that business is not my way because I can't afford the constraints that it brings me. There are many things that I want to do instead. I don't know how long I will stay as an actor. After that, I would like to become a farmer, then a photographer, and then a ceramic artist.

But it is from 10 years ago so he probably has other thoughts since that time because he also said this:

Q : Tell us about what you are planning, and give some words to your fans.

A : I've opened up many part of my thoughts and the way I've changed throughout my book, but I think the most important thing is to come back as an actor. My Family would want it, and I feel I can express the change within myself through my act. I am eager to read many scenarios. It might help me stop thinking about other things. (laugh)

@willenette Thanks for the article! I think it is almost unbelievable that someone as good looking, successsul and nice  like BYJ has only dated 3 women including his current wife (as far as it has been known by the public), but I can also see how difficult it was for him to meet someone given the lack of freedom to go to many places on his own.  It probably didn’t help if it is viewed as a taboo to date in the Korean entertainment industry too!!!

I wonder if he ever had romantic feelings for the co-stars of his drama or movie since  actors can sometimes get so into the character they played.

Not exactly BYJ related but I was reading an interview translation in one of the BYJ fan blogs (Beautiful Youthful Joyful Journal by an American fan Heippieh) . The actress interviewed was Lee Yong-ae and the question to her was who she was attracted to in her past work.  I think the  gist of her answer was BYJ because  she felt that BYJ has similar personality as her when they were filming Papa. Anyway, that led me to google her, and found the following in Wiki:

Saimdang, Memoir of Colors[1] (Hangul사임당, 빛의 일기; RRSaimdang, Bichui Ilgi; lit. Saimdang, Light's Diary) is a South Korean drama starring Lee Young-ae in the title role as Shin Saimdang, a famous Joseon-era artist and calligrapher who lived in the early 16th century. It aired on SBS every Wednesday and Thursday at 22:00 (KST) starting January 26, 2017.[2]

The series marks Lee's television comeback 14 years after her pan-Asia hit drama Dae Jang Geum (2003).

Wow, 14 years!

Just learned that ABBA will be coming out with a new song this December, the first since 35 years ago!! This reminded me of the scene in WS in which CJW played ABBA’s “dancing queen”.

I always making connections to BYJ whenever I read something  now! Sometimes it is because I was actually doing specific research on his work but sometimes not - I guess He is literally on mind all the time! LOL

I have read that the Korean entertainment industry is even more youth obsessed than Hollywood so it is nice to see her and other more mature actresses and actors in starring role.  :)

Korean actor Bae Young-jun (45) accompanied Park Jin-young (46) with the singer Park Jin-young (46), reported that he attended the Seowol Sea Sea Luck and the deep relief faction (Kwonpa) rally " It is true that he attended, but he is not a relief faction. "

Bae Yong Joon's office belongs to Bae Yong Joon, "It is not related at all to the" relief faction. "Although he is personally friendly with Park Jin-yeon, he certainly attended the Bible study meeting held by him It is not a relief faction, "the official position was shown.

On this day, Korean media reported that Park Chin-young attended a religious school faction Christian gospel escort party in March this year. It was reported that this gathering was a major shareholder of Qinghai Zhenhai Luck and former representatives Pyeongyeong-chun and Bae Yong-jun.

Regarding this, Park Chin-young dismissed suspicion on his own SNS. "I borrowed a place, I borrowed a place, a Bible study meeting I taught was a relief faction rally, 100 people gathered to listen to my lecture, and among them a few of the common names" relief faction " Were you sitting to listen to the lecture, is that a religious faction rally? "

In addition, the religious school is a cult that has been recognized as a heretical cult, and it became widely known that the substantial owner who caused the Severn's sinking accident was a representative of religious faction factions / Christian gospel escort faction It was.

Bae Young Jun denies the allegations of a specific religion "It was totally unrelated ... it was a Bible study group"

___

In connection with the report that Bae Yong-joon participated in a particular religious assembly, the position was revealed.

A member of the affiliated office Key East said on February 2, "Bae Yong Joon has nothing to do with relief faction, he confirmed that he participated in a study session of the Bible that appeared in the previous report" .

Prior to this, on the morning of the same morning, Park Jin-nong attended relief sessions recently, "People dispatched" online media reported that Bae Yong-joon also participated in this place.

In connection with this, Park Jin-youn denied the allegations of the relief faction, "only being a Bible study meeting" through his SNS.

Along with that, "I will publish my experiences so please read it carefully, if there is a legal or ethical problem in that content, your interview will be reasonable, but if not We will have legal responsibility for all the damage we gave, "suggesting a legal response to the media that first reported.

Meanwhile, Park Jin Young and Bae Yong Joon are known as close friends of the same age. Park Jin Young wishes to celebrate himself at the wedding ceremony of Bae Young Jun and Park Sujin himself, and Bae Yong Joon also made a film "5 million dollar man" starring Park Jin Young in the past VIP preview He was showing attendance.

WHYYÝ?

Can't they just leave him alone? His every step is followed and becomes a reason for accusations. Koreans love counting their intangible national treasures by numbers. Somewhere else BYJ would be in the upper part of the list because of everything he did for this country.

@mstamatoff I feel the same way when I read this!

I hope BYJ and his friend sue the media big time for defamation!!!!!

It is really sad how the Korean media is treating their top star. This coupled with all the pressure, lack of privacy and rest from being in the industry (I have been reading up on the dark side of k entertainment industry ever since you shared the article on that topic), no wonder he is staying away.

Hi sunny, thanks for sharing this. Whenever I see the word "cult' I feel bad & scared. But, this is hilarious - doesn't even make sense. They’re actually good friends. But, this is a fake rumor... I hope people will stop jumping to conclusions.

@willenette hi! Definitely a crazy article and I feel sad about how this media Dispatch seems to be on the attack mode! I am sure this is a way to gain readership for them just like all the tabloid news.

Below is another article - more of the same but there are some pictures of BYJ. As much as I think it is a privaicy invasion, it is nice to see some newer photos of him, though blurry, I thought he looked well and of course handsome even with the cap and hoodie! :)

I do hope the media stop picking on him!
