@willenette, Mrs. Park must be four months pregnant, if I have correctly understood it from a Tweet. If so, the baby is expected in January, I suppose. It must be quite difficult with two little ones.

By the way, I had this thought about a new pregnancy, when she posted a picture of a duck with a duckling on its back.

Hi mstamatoff, ahhh...................so, she's 4-months now. In this case, the baby's fingers and toes are well-defined now.

@MyStars, the news is really good!

With this little or rather no hope to see Mr. Bae on the screen again, we have to only console our hearts with the thought, that he is well and happy.

The idea about a blog of your own is very good. I also have an account on Photobucket. Created it a few years ago as I needed to post photos on another forum. I haven't visited it for quite some time. But there is no way I would pay such a sum for the pleasure to insert photos once in a blue moon.

I am absolutely sure you will succeed in creating your blog. Devoted and clever people always do! Good luck! Looking forward to it!

Hi mstamatoff, it's really good indeed! I was just surprised when I heard the news since their second child came along within 2 years.

@willenette, Mr. Bae is in a hurry - 45 in a few days. :)

mstamatoff, hahaha - you have a point there, dear. It is not just us that have to worry about biological clock. Male fertility declines with age – with even a year making a difference. They say that even the age of 41, a man’s odds of fathering a child decline rapidly. That's why, BYJ doesn't have to wait too long. But, do you know that Rod Stewart becoming father for the eighth time at the age of 66? I was told that fertility declining by up to seven per cent with each extra year on a man’s age between 41 and 45. I wonder if BYJ still smokes until now, huh? The doctor advises men who want to stay in good reproductive shape to eat healthily, not smoke, drink only in moderation & keep active.

@mstamatoff, you are so kind to say such nice things.  But the blog is just my way of having a third-party hosting site, and will probably be pictures only.  (At least I think Soompi is still accepting inserts from personal blogs.  I better read the rules before I jump into something.)   I don't think any of my words would do justice to this romantic tale spanning the years from the beginning of his career until now; at least, finally, we have our happy ending.

Well, it's a happy ending for them.  I'm still awfully blue and down at heart knowing, as you say, that there is little or no hope to see him on the screen again.  Okay, also, as you say, letting the consolation of the thought that he is well and happy start the healing process.

Hi MyStars, I do agree with you - We know that BYJ only likes simple things. His lifestyle is so simple, too. I was told that he loves shredded radish and hairtail dishes, like fish stew.

All righty then @willenette.  This is just too good to pass up.  What's in a culture clash? LOL!!!  I hope he loves shredded radish and hairtail dishes like fish stew, the same way I love cornpone, hominy grits with real butter (pass on the cheese grits) a mess a' greens cooked with a hamhock, and chitlins.  But wait......chitlins are pig intestines, which South Koreans DO eat, so we DO have something in common.  So, Willenette, what are the simple foods you eat?  And feel free @mstamatoff to chime in with the favorite dishes of the simple folk in Bulgaria.

@willenette, I didn't have this in mind. They say, the older the father is, the brighter the children are.

I meant something different - every father wants to raise his children while he is young, healthy and active. My own experience shows that after 40 time flies much faster than before.

@MyStars, you know, personaly I love simple dishes, too, but nothing so special - I LOVE our white brined cheese (similar to Feta cheese). I eat it with potato dishes, tomato and cucumber salad, melon and water melon, on a toast with butter and jam, even with pasta. I rarely eat meat, but not because I am a vegetarian, just don't like it.

@mstamatoff Your lovely food sounds normal, not weird.  Can't you find something UNUSUAL like shredded radish, hairtail fish stew, chitlins? Is Bulgaria the only normal country these days?  Food like the SIMPLE Mr. Bae likes?  Calling BYJ a simple person makes me smile.  A lot.  No offense, Willenette.   I know what you really mean.

I have been haunting YouTube for birthday MVs for BYJ, or BYJ and Family, but nothing yet.  I guess it will go down to the wire.  Whatever.  If it is there, one of us will happily post it.

@MyStars, there are simple dishes in Bulgarian cuisine. A very favourite one - cold soup for the hot summer days. Plain yogurt, diced fresh cucumber, some water, salt, olive oil, a few drops of vinegar, chopped dill and walnuts. Very refreshing. Those who love garlic can add some to taste. In our family we don't eat it at all and this is one of the reasons we didn't enjoy the traditional Korean dishes - too spicy, too smelly.

We used to make a lot of pickles. Nowadays younger generation doesn't fancy preparing them - it's time consuming, expensive, many people live in blocks of flats and it is difficult, not to say impossible to make and keep.

However, should Mr. Bae and Mrs. Park decide to visit Bulgaria, they will be pleased with every meal. Not that this will ever happen.

We all are going to get fat just reading about each others foods!  Isn't it BYJs birthday?  Maybe since I am on the wrong side of the globe, I'm a day late.  Looking on YouTube for birthday MVs I find, right now, an MV by Yura, but it's not a birthday wish.  Still it is something new to watch BYJ in.  Thank you, Yura.  And Happy Birthday to Mr. Bae Yong Joon.

From a Japanese media yesterday:

2018 New Year 's boy Bae Yong Joon' s first film "Scandal" Revival screening is decided

Bae Yong Joon's first major work "Scandal", which was released in Japan in 2004 and recorded 900 million yen box office revenue at the time, was decided as a digital remaster version, Bunkamura Le Cinema and others nationwide in the New Year of 2018 !

This work is a splendid romance drama which made a movie on the stage of the 18th century Lee Chosun Korea, a French classic romance novel "dangerous relationship". Set in the ornate Korean dynasty, he painted an elegant love game, and the vivid costumes and accessories unique to the period drama were highly appreciated. Bae Yong-jun, who has brought up a Korean-style boom in the "Winter Sonata", is a passionate playboy, not a sincere image. It became a hot topic in the bed scene with popularity actress Popular actress Chung Do-young who became one actress who is representative of Korea now such as "Secret · Sunshine." It is Bae Yong Joon 's first major cast chosen from over 80 offer. In addition, "Murdere built" Lee Mi Sook etc. appeared and added coloring.

@mstamatoff  WOW!!! Again, wow!  Thanks for this information.  This is a great birthday present, isn't it? Have you seen this movie?  I remember we discussed it a couple of years ago, but I can't remember if you had seen it or not.  I have a copy, and it is not a good copy.  One other person who had an HD copy posted some pictures for us and they were so clear and lifelike; I was jealous because I couldn't find an HD copy at the time subbed in English.  Now I only have to wait until next year to try and snag a remastered copy.  I better start saving my pennies.

The article was in Japanese paper, right?  If I remember correctly the SK public turned their noses up at the movie, but the Japanese fans mobbed it, as the article states, "with a 900 million yen box office."

An article about KeyEast plans and situation. If I hopefully have correctly understood what Google has translated, the company is doing well. Which is perfect for the main person that we all are interested in and care about.

http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1sq62ub

Key East, which succeeded in turning profit in the first half of this year, is expected to grow in the second half.

Key East announced the lineup of the activities of the actors belonging to the second half on the 8th. It is an evaluation that not only the activities of the actors who decided the casting after the casting was confirmed but also the favorable achievement of the Japanese subsidiary DA (digital adventure) joined, expecting the second half.

Key East's signboard actress Han Jae-seul and Jeong Ryeo Won are appointed as the main characters of the MBC monthly fire drama "20th Century Boys and Girls" and the KBS February Fire Drama "Please Do not Believe" (tentative title) (tentative title) Continue competition. Han Ye Seul got a picture of the top star in "20th Century Boys and Girls" In contrast, Jeong Ryeo Won took over the role because he inspected me. Both of us are returning only after a long absence that the advertising love calls such as beauty, fashion and so on are also continuing

Ju Ji Hoon's activity also stands out. The movie "With God" is finalized in December, not only "Sexual murder" currently being filmed, but also "castle with God 2", "Crafts" are cast one after another and refrained from releasing.

It is noticeable also in the rapid growth of newcomers. Taking a picture of the existence at the movie 'Master' Shooting Udo Fan OCN Following the weekend drama 'Help', Kanshobo took over the main character with KBS 2 New Mizuki drama 'Maddog'. He is hoping for another star of Key East who has produced Korean stars such as Bae Yong Joon, Kim Su Hyeon, Park Sojoong, etc. will be born.

Neo Gimhaein and Hon Jyun also were cast to the movie "Always Catch" and OCN Weekend Drama "Bad Bad Guy 2 Bad City" respectively. Especially Gimhaein is busy dedicated to starring in the tvN single title "Day to go for excursion" as well.

In addition, Ingyejin is the KBS 2 TV monthly fire drama "lingerie girls era", Kim Dong Wook, Song Dambi will appear in the movie "Detective 2", Hanborg will appear in KBS 2 TV entertainment drama "Confessions and Husband".

A good achievement of DA has also been drawing attention. DA is a Japanese subsidiary that operates Korean current cable channels KNTV, DATV in Japan. Sometimes he is in charge of activities of the bulletproof boyhood team in Japan. Bulletproof boys' group gained popularity in Japan, and DA sales also rose vertically. Sales, which was 48.4 billion won last year, increased to 37 billion won level only in the first half of this year. Thanks to that, Japan 's JASDAQ (DAS) stock price rose 57.1% over the past month.

The KeyEast side expressed confidence that "I will continue cruising in the fourth quarter to the activities of Key East artists and their subsidiary DA," continuing the green light in the achievement of 2018

An article about BYJ's cafe in Hawaii, in Japanese. The text is nothing much, but there are pictures:

Hi mstamatoff, thanks for sharing this.  Wahhh...... "GORILLA IN THE CAFE" in Hawaii. My 1st time to see the picture. It looks like a very cozy coffee shop. I know they have excellent coffee beans, so, I'm sure the coffee tastes good, too! This opened some years ago, right? Ye, I was told by my friend that besides coffee, there are also fruit smoothies, frappe and Acai bowl. I believe Acai is good for the body, that's why I love Acai bowl. There's an antioxidant effects. It's fiber and heart-healthy fats. It looks like ice cream, almost taste like ice cream. It is basically a really thick smoothie that's been topped with oatmeal, fruit or peanut butter. Ahhh......yummy. They also serve cakes, sandwiches, bagels, muffins and so on. In the shop we can see from the picture that they're selling miscellaneous goods for souvenirs such as coffee beans and mugs, chic color tumbler, eco bags. T-shirts too. There is terrace seating outside - I wonder if there's still Gorilla coffee shop in Korea? For those fans out there in Hawaii, if you have the opportunity to go nearby, here's the address : (Landmark : Located along the main "Kalakaua Avenue" in Waikiki and it is conveniently located near Halekulani and Trump International, so it is a recommended shop for Waikiki walkers.)

  • 4 weeks later...

This morning I was cruising forums for other powerhouse KeyEast performers,  including Kim Soo Hyun among them.  The most recent news about Kim Soo Hyun is that he and KeyEast have announced his enlistment into military service as of October 23, and I began to wonder if BYJ might not be there......escorting KSH to the induction like he did when Kim Hyun Joong entered his military service a couple of years ago.  There were some great pictures that came out of that!  It might be a chance for one last look.  Of course, it may not even happen, but I plan to pay a lot of attention to forums and news outlets around that time.  I will be a big fly on the wall, so to speak.    Keep fingers and toes crossed.

By that time I plan to have a good third party picture hosting site set up, and these pages won't be so bare.  (Please let it be true, please!)

Hi MyStars, count me in, too - I hope BYJ will do the same thing, too as what he did during KHJ's entry to the camp. I also cross my fingers here since this will be the time that we could get again a glimpse of him even just for a bit, even just for a little while (much more if there's a video later on - hahaha) Although, I'm not waiting for this time to come when I know that KSH has to go this time. It's just that it has been quite a long while since the last that we saw BYJ - sigh..... I know there's really a very slim chance now that we could see him back on the screen.

@MyStars, in  the announcement about the military service, BYJ was mentioned as Kim Soo Hyun's mentor.

I, too, have seen many statements also mentioning that mentor/mentee relationship, and have seen evidence of a respect between the two.  I have watched almost all of KSHs movies and dramas and I (maybe spuriously) pride myself into thinking that the values of the master are showing in the student.  KSH is a serious  actor (when not being a master of physical comedy) who takes challenges in stride and then ups the ante.  Both of them show an astounding attention to detail regarding how acting reveals underlying human psychology.  What KSH movies or dramas have you been able to watch?  Do you see the same thing I am seeing?

Oh, me too!  It seems ghoulish to wish for one thing at the expense of another!:cold_sweat:  But we the living can honor the courage and sacrifice of those inducted into military service in any way we can,  just by paying attention to the event,  however it may serve our own needs as well.  I know that those long-time fans on the KSH pages will continue to carry the torch and banner for KSH for however long it takes.  Vive KSH.
