At the third episode of tvN ‘Grandpas Over Flowers’ in Greece which was aired on 10th, H4 Flower Grandpas and two porters started regular travel in Greece.
At this broadcast they greeted New Year’s Day in Athens. To make perfect meal for grandpas Choi Ji-Woo and Lee Seo-Jin started to make tteokguk.
Choi Ji-Woo became a ‘Main Chef’ as she learned how to make tteokguk in Korea, and Lee Seo-Jin became an ‘Assistant Chef’, but they met hardship from the start. Choi Ji-Woo tried to make things pefect for tteokguk, but Lee Seo-Jin was not. The hotel room became battlefield because of them.

GOF episode 2: MONEY MATTERS by breathlesssurvival
imageThis image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge.
The Ji Woo & Seo Jin show continues. Of course the halbaes still shine but the luggage couple is totally doing a rom-com as a side show. So drama producers should just go and cast them together in one. They would be awesome in something like Choi Ji Woo’s previous Can’t Lose.

CJW oohs and ahhs over everything while LSJ just  remains stone-faced. He is admiring whatever is around him but just not going gaga… he only goes gaga over his niece.

GOF episode 3: THE ZIDANE DILEMMA by breathlesssurvival

image
Oh boy, Choi Ji Woo has her first in-room cooking battle with Lee Seo Jin and it’s twice the funny with former French soccer player Zidane taking centre stage. I have no idea what the actress meant by  “ji dan” – I tried to look it up and found “Zidane ” too. Some kind of garnish, soup paste or texture for a sauce or a sauce itself? Whatever. The best thing about Grandpas Over Flowers is how the veteran actors relate touching anecdotes about life and their own lives whenever they encounter something or someplace moving. The second best thing is having the pleasure of listening to Lee Seo Jin speak English.
Due to the busy schedules of the gramps, the trip had to be organised during the Lunar New Year. Thus, CJW is determined to prepare the traditional rice-cake soup for breakfast. She basically orders LSJ -aka Chef Dimples – around and he dutifully listens. He even heads down to hustle some bowls , plates and spoons from the hotel kitchen. The crew is fortunate that LSJ has no qualms making demands on anyone he meets – but he gets by and gets away once he flash those dimples and turn on the charm. Who can say no to those dimples???

Grandpas Over Flowers in Greece: Episode 3
by javabeans | Dramabeans.com
greece3-00334.jpg
javabeans: We pick up at bedtime, and there’s an extended beat showing Soon-jae halbae in bed, reading, and falling asleep in the middle of it. I swear, grandpas yawning is like animals yawning — just inexplicably cute.
girlfriday: I know, so cute. And then Seo-jinnie comes in to tuck Soon-jae halbae into bed, and it’s sweet on top of cute. Ji-woo goes to sleep with a face mask on, which looks kinda scary on camera.
javabeans: Then we jump to the morning as everyone wakes up and gets ready. I recall reading an interview with Na PD where he described his variety style as finding the little funny moments in life, which is so the opposite of most variety programs, where you have so much structuring and concept building that leaves me mostly confused. (Running Man always does this to me, where there are such elaborate setups and then they all end in nametag-ripping.)
