​@MaknaeC I am hoping they will show Gwanghae in exile too and I think they might as following gerrytan's post Gwanghae was moved out to Jeju from the first place where he was exiled to during the invasion of the Manchus. Injo and his cronies were afraid that the Manchus will look for and find Gwanghae.. Cha Seong Won I think is very good in portraying the conflicting emotions of Gwanghae in exile and that is something to watch for. Like you, I do hope they will show him in exile.

Yi Yi Cheom (이이첨,李爾瞻 1560-1623) the baddy that is associated with Kim Gae Shi in the drama

In history Yi Yi Cheom had it bad, arrest while fleeing to Gwangju, he was executed at the age of 64.

Yi Yi Cheom family was given the sentence of family extermination (the punishment involved the execution of all relatives of an individual, most associated with the crime of treason)

If the history is the same as the drama, this Yi Yi Cheom full of greed killed so many of Gwanghaegun's family and the ex-prime minister who was the king's mentor. And who else he is yet to kill later.

No wonder we hear the word 'treason' often used for political punishment. It is such a great way to uproot all disease associated with a bad trace.  Lesson to learn, never build a family with a baddie in sageuk or you stand a chance of being wiped out not only you but all innocent family members.

The thought just gives me a chill to think that In Woo is the baddie Kang's son!

It's rational that laws and rules are created to be revised over time to adapt with the changes in a country. 
Hopefully one day, the modern Korea can make it fully official for Gwanghaegun's title of 大王( Dae Wang) to recognize his life-time work and wisdom little appreciated at that time and to learn from the mistakes of their people so as not to repeat in today or the future.
That way, it's even much better since the Bureau of Rites was not functioning normally nor making sense with both Gwanghae and his successor.

I think that Joo-won and the princess will marry for politics but also for love because it seems when she was a teenager she had a crush on him and asked him to marry her to save her brother also even now she only trust him the most and only thinks of In-woo as a player and doesn't really know him or spent time with him as much as she has with Joo-won. She even recognized Joo-won when they met in Japan but didn't recognized In-woo when they met again, that means she never forgot Joo-won. That's What I Think.

​@Misstwilightfan1416 I agree, However the princess is pragmatic in her observation when they were in Japan that Joo Won made a split decision to save the sulfur first and her second. Of course Joo Won did not know then that Hwa Yi is a she and she was rhe princess. However that alone told her that for Joo Won his country comes first. She witnessed Joo Won was willing to sacrifice his life to save his king because he believed in the king's purpose. I think that Joo won will eventually fall in love with the princess. As in drama style I think that Joo Won and the princess will have rocks thrown there way and as the princess will get to know In Woo she will be charmed by him. How can she not? There is also the ever faithful and handsome Ja Gyeung yet to come. We will have lots of drama with this romance but will be fun to watch.

@zenya22 and @ misstwilightfan1426 im with both of you but i do think too that joo won first wanted to be in this area about politics defending what is right and of course having righteous king... and he kind thinks Gwanghae is becoming one .. princess does trust him and o kind think she has feeling for him remember she had crush on him when she was teenager... And now In woo even do at the beginning she thought he was a player i think now she thinks different since he helped her when they had the problem with the sulfur and the way he treats her i don't know if she has feelings for him but i do think she thinks different about him now..

Joo Won is probably only a few left near Gwanghae who is still clean and wants to do the best for the country.
As for In Woo, though we know his fate with the princess, you just can't help wishing him happy with the girl he likes.

​@salma-el-makhloufy,  You have to admire GW way of politics JW understands all to well what GW is trying to do and the sad part about it is IW his so called friend will listen to his dad and follow what he wants and JW will believe him and still end up getting those troops sent to China and the puppet King sitting on the throne and yet IW will be stab in the back by his on father when the princess choose not to marry him and his father knew it all a long that his son wasn't going to marry her.. I even think IW dad may marry him off to a girl from Ming since he so close to the court there..

​@Salma El Makhloufy, I think your observations are very smart LOL....I have always shipped Gwanghae and Joo Won, they are MY OTP for the first parts of the drama but as far as the Princess, I like all the guys Joo Won, In Woo and Ja Gyeung, so I am on the fence since the romantic rivalries just started, but I am leaning towards In Woo for now
