“Gyeongseong Creature” is arousing keen interest from drama fans ahead of its release

Gyeongseong Creature” recently unveiled media still cuts for Season 1, raising viewers’ anticipation for its unique narratives. Set in the darkest era of the spring of 1945, Netflix’s series “Gyeongseong Creature” tells about two young people who confront a creature born of greed for survival.

The released still cuts stimulate curiosity as they capture a shady space and various characters in it with an atmosphere that is both romantic and secret. Jang Tae-sang (Park Seo-joon), the owner of Geumokdang pawnshop who holds all the necessary information in Gyeongseong, appears. Living a splendid life, Taesang attracts attention with his perfect appearance. He is threatened by Ishikawa from the police and is on the verge of losing everything.

Taesang joins hands with Yoon Chae-ok (Han So-hee) and Yoon Jung-won (Jo Han-chul), professional investigators who claim that they can find anyone, even the dead, to uncover the disappearance of Ishikawa before the cherry blossoms are gone. Together, Taesang, Chae-ok and Jung-won infiltrate Gyeongseong Hospital, suspected to be the last place visited by the missing person, and face the hidden secrets. In a place full of monsters of greed rather than actual monsters, their desperate struggles begin.

Director Jung Dong-yoon shared, “The setting of Spring 1045 seems to have made people wonder how the characters would be developed”, emphasizing his focus on both humans and space. Screenwriter Kang Eun-kyung added, “The distinction between good and evil ultimately depends on your decision of which side you stand on, whether survival comes first or living as a human comes first”.

The actors also gave various reactions after seeing the script about the cruel fate of the two young people who try to survive. Park Seo-joon said, “It’s a perfect story”, while Han So-hee shared, “It’s a script that makes me curious from the beginning of the story”.

“Gyeongseong Creature” Part 1 will be released on December 22nd and Part 2 is scheduled for January 5th, 2024.

*** Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee manage to enter Ongseong Hospital, where "patients who are moved here never come back." The rest of the trailer shows imprisoned people inside the hospital and Chae-ok and Tae-sang's battle for survival from what seems to be a creature running wild in the institution. ***  K-Dramas teach us many things when it comes to romance including patience. The K-characters do anything and everything possible to grab hold of our attention and capture our hearts. Through various genres they bring out a spectrum of unforgettable emotions that linger for days. We see them wait for their love interest without any reservation and always hold onto a tiny ray of hope, even if they deny it at first. Park Seo Joon's character in "She Was Pretty"  as Ji SungJoon put in multiple hours of work in order to improve himself. From visuals to smarts, everything about his character was upgraded into the hunk of a man that stood before us. However, he continued to keep his first love, Kim HyeJin (Hwang JungEum), at the center of his heart. He did not stray away but patiently waited for the opportunity to be reunited with his first love. He exhibited the virtue of patience.   :ohboy2:

*** Recently, the YouTube channel of TV producer Na Yeon Seok, better known as Na PD, uploaded a special video where he and Park Seo Joon prepared a surprise advanced birthday celebration for V, who will be leaving for his military enlistment before his birthday. Their gesture visibly moved V and the three spent some time talking about their friendship as the birthday boy enjoyed the food and cake Na PD and Park Seo Joon had made for him. When the topic came to V and Park Seo Joon’s relationship, the latter revealed a surprising anecdote. It turns out, V and Park Seo Joon are so close that the latter spent weeks living in his house! Park Seo Joon elaborated, saying that he had some remodeling planned for his place, which took around four months to be completed. Initially, he had planned to get it done while he was away overseas for a project. But the filming ended quicker than he expected, and he was back in South Korea with nowhere to stay. Since V and Park Seo Joon are practically neighbors, just 5-min away from each other, he asked V if he could crash at his place for a while. Park Seo Joon joked that he said the extra room at V’s place was meant for him, and V happily agreed to let him stay. He gratefully mentioned that it helped him “save a bit of money” since he didn’t have to arrange other accommodations. When Na PD asked how long he had stayed at V’s place, Park Seo Joon clarified that he hadn’t been there every single day since he had his own shoots. But cumulatively, he stayed at V’s place for about two months!   :Twerkdatbutt:

V: We didn’t get to see each other that often.

He also had  moments with V’s parents during this time. He said that sometimes he came home to see his parents there, who would greet him like a son and have a meal together.

Park Seo Joon : I’d ask them where Taehyung went, haha.

Because of this, the brotherly dynamic of Park Seo Joon and V has extended so deep that their parents are now good friends, too!

V: We introduced them to one another.
